Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Topping the agenda of Monday's regular Assembly meeting is an ordinance appropriating $376,000 for the planning and design of bond-funded capital improvement projects. Manager Rorie Watt's report to the Assembly says $175,000 is earmarked for the reconstruction of Crest Avenue. There's $51,000 for improvements to the Eagle Valley Center. $150,000 will go toward mechanical and electrical upgrades to the downtown and Glacier Fire Stations. Another appropriation ordinance antes up $45,000 for the Parks and Recreation Department to take over management of the Dimond Park Field House. A resolution up for action would authorize the manager to submit an application to the State of Alaska for the purchase of Telephone Hill properties.
