From the Old Pine Rocker: The library at the edge of the world Sherry Maves Special to The Journal-Standard I enjoy reading biographies, travel stories, historical novels and heartwarming fiction with quirky, colorful characters set in charming hamlets and picturesque villages. In addition, I’m occasionally drawn to the artwork on a book cover, or a catchy title draws me in. I guess I’ll never be someone who can reel off the names of the newest authors or who has an opinion on the latest best seller. It’s doubtful I have read it. Generally, my reading list comes from recommendations of folks who know my taste, and when my South Carolina friend found “The Library at the Edge of the World” by Felicity Hayes-McCoy to be a page turner, she kept emailing me about the book.
