From Seed to Harvest at the DeKalb County Community Gardens

Looking to lend a helping hand? DeKalb County Community Gardens needs your help in the garden! Exercise your green thumb by helping your community.<br/><br/>Tour the garden, taste veggies and herbs, and volunteer in the DeKalb County Community Gardens/Northwestern Medicine Garden assisting with:<br/><br/>Watering plants<br/>Seeding and planting veggies<br/>Harvesting for DCCG Distribution<br/>Weeding<br/><br/>The garden is a 1.5-acre growing space at 2475 Bethany Road in Sycamore, a community garden space managed by DeKalb County Community Gardens. In 2023, over 2,000lbs. of fresh produce were harvested for DCCG distribution. The vegetables we harvest are shared with neighbors throughout the entire county.<br/><br/>This program is open to all ages. No registration is required.
