SOUTHAMPTON residents are being given the chance to try out the areas newest climbing centre for free.
Parthian Climbing is offering people a free taster session of its new "world class facility" at Adanac Park in Southampton.
The event at Parthian Climbing Southampton is taking place between 10am and 7am on July 24 and coincides with the opening weekend of the Tokyo Olympics where, for the first time in the Games’ history, athletes will be competing in a number of climbing events.
The centre has been designed to appeal to all levels of climbers and residents will be able to make use of the 25,000 square foot purpose-built centre's bouldering walls, roped climbing; both lead and top rope, auto-belays and speed climbing.
