Frank Warren is hopeful Daniel Dubois will return in May Photo Credit: Reuters/Action Images Promoter Frank Warren is hopeful that Daniel Dubois will return to action in May, subject to a full recovery from an eye injury. Dubois’ left eye had almost completely closed at the point of the stoppage, with a scan later confirming that the former British and Commonwealth champion had suffered a fractured eye socket and nerve damage. Warren has revealed that the 23-year-old will see a doctor on February 5, before it’s determined if he can return to the ring in May. “He had two fractures of his eye socket. One on the flat bone and also the orbital,” Warren told BT Sport Boxing.
