Washington. A fox news alert. A massive hurricane that could be the most destructive in the history of the country is about to slam into florida. Hurricane milton could make landfall as early as 8 00 p. M. Eastern, exactly one hour from now. Now, the national
Weather Service
says the window to evacuate has closed. Shelter in place now. Tampa,
Fort Myers
and orlando are all expected to face lifethreatening impacts. Tornadoes have already been seen and many of floridas
West Coast
beaches are at risk as well of being wiped out. Now, first responders in st. Petersburg have paused all operations. Not responding to any emergencies until it is safe to do so. We will bring you conch from across the state but, first, we start in
Brayden Ton Florida
where
Fox Weather Robert
ray is standing by, robert . Yeah. Laura, good evening to you. And you see the
Manatee River
behind me that is raging with up to 80 mileperhour winds that have occurred here in this part of the
Gulf Coast
. We are not too far from tampa. In fact, on the other side of the
Manatee River
is the mouth of
Tampa Bay
. And the landfall as you said could happen in the next hour. 8 00 give or take a few minutes and it could come over right here or just to the south. But the impacts are going to be huge all over as
Whipping Winds
and
Rain Rain
sideways continue the ebb and flow. On the
Coast Line
10 to 15 feet of
Storm Surge
is expected in some areas and these are areas that were already hit less than two weeks ago by
Hurricane Helene
with 5 feet of
Storm Surge
ripping up complete neighborhoods and businesses unfortunately. Piles of debris are sitting on the side of many of those
Barrier Island
s. They couldnt get them out because of the mandatory evacuations that in play. Past two days the mayor of tampa saying if you dont leave the
Coast Line
, you will die. An extreme amount of
National Guard
has been ordered over 6,000 members by florida governor
Ron Desantis
and there are thousands of
Utility Workers
all the way from canada and the mainland u. S. Awaiting to help in the aftermath of this system not just the
Coast Line
. 80 to 100 miles per hour. The other side of this peninsula on the atlantic they are already seeing impacts and tornadoes. Can you believe that . Huge tornadoes that have come down. All the way from the southern area of florida up here. Just amazing. Naples,
Fort Myers
, all of these areas, unfortunately, are under this
Hurricane Warning
as no longer are we preparing. We are in the thick of it. This storm, milton, is waging war right now on the state of florida as you see behind me, the heavy
Wind Gust
s continue and the
Manatee River
flowing hard and with incredible surge. If surge comes up where we are standing, we are out of here. We have an
Exit Route
that well go inland and make our way up to i57 for some protection. If you havent gotten out of here already, hunker down, keep your head on a swivel and make sure you are focused this is just the beginning of a very long night and days ahead of the aftermath. Laura, back to you. Laura robert,
I Cant
believe you are even standing there we understand the
Eye Wall
has hit ashore. This is only a category 3 storm . I mean, again, i dont know how you are even standing in place now. Robert i will tell you what, laura, what i have done and what his team has done. Vegetation to my left. To say my right. We have vehicles right there. My cameraman is tucked deep into an suv so he is not taking all the
Debris And Wind
and rain. It is a strategy logistical we started our day in tampa. Went down to sarasota and moved up here. We have been documenting all of the
Elements Head
on a swivel this entire time. Were not going to lose our lives in this no doubt. Everything is a strategic move for sure to bring this broadcast to america to so you could see all of this devastation and the ravaging happening right now by milton. First responders are not out here. They cannot be right now. So if they are watching, this is whats happening, everyone, its just the beginning and when the sun comes up, we will understand the true magnitude of miltons savage, laura. Laura robert, it looks like the
Eye Wall
is coming ashore now as i said, and that the storm is so big, geographically, that it is having an effect all the way over on the
West Coast
of florida as you noted, what does that mean for the beaches and the surrounding areas even over there . Big time impacts. We have had reporters all day long out there on those beaches. And you know, those beaches have been hammered over the course of the past few years. I mean, hurricane nicole, that
November Hurricane
two years ago, that tore apart beautiful
Sand Beaches
and homes on
Daytona Beach
, and we expect all of that surge to come in, because of the swath of this and rip apart some of that topography as well. Thats how big it is. Now debris is starting to fly around off of the vegetation here. Its not a safe scenario. Laura you got to get out of there. Laura the entire peninsula. Except for the panhandle. Panhandle is going to be okay on this. Thats for sure. But the rest of us, not so much. Laura . Laura robert, please, please stay safe. I cant even watch i mean its terrifying to see you out there. Thank you, robert. As i just mentioned, the hurricane
Eye Wall
of milton is moving ashore. Now in st. Petersburg, and in tampa. The winds are up to 110 miles per hour. And they are expected to do massive damage. Joining me now from
Orlando Bill Hemmer
cohost of americas newsroom. Just because you are inland doesnt mean these cities are immune. We have seen reports of tornadoes as robert just said across the state. Something we are not used to hearing about in these situations. Bill we are sandwiched in between this storm at the moment. There are more than 100
Tornado Warning
s throughout florida today. Warnings, not watches, warnings. That means a tornado has formed or has been supposed toed or is on the ground. In one afternoon that happened here. Laura, can you go to 120 miles to the southeast of here, down to arent fort pierce area, a tornadoes was on the ground earlier today. Destruction right now. They are out there. 120 miles to the southwest of here,
Storm Surge
in
Fort Myers
, already going into the area around
Fort Myers
in an area called
Punta Gorda
Devastating Hurricane Hit Two
decades ago. Here in orlando, if you think about it. At the moment, we got a little break in the storm. We have had band after band of rain throughout the day. We seem to be getting a bit of. For most of the day on thursday. So i talked about the southeast and the southwest, and you mentioned just how large and how dangerous and how much damage this storm can incur here. If you were to go 50 miles due east of here. You hit
Daytona Beach
. There are some
Predictions Daytona
could get 18 inches of rain by this time tomorrow night. So we have gone from the
West Coast
to the
East Coast
down to the south. There is a hurricane here, laura, i think it was 2017, hurricane irma. Irma came up the
West Side
of florida. It impacted 67 counties in florida. All 67 counties were impacted by this hurricane. Earlier today at
Day Break Governor
desantis said 51 counties will be affected by this storm. That gives gives you a sense about how large this will be. The
Florida Division
of
Emergency Management
sent out a tweet on x a short time ago. Here it is. Milton is approaching landfall along the west central florida coast. All right . So they said treat this as if it is a tornado. And the warning went out for tampa, st. Petersburg and clearwater. Well there is 3. 2 million people who call that area home. And so many of them have left and the reason they left is because of helene 13 days ago. We are in a hotel here in orlando. And just about everybody inside that hotel came from tampa. They came from
Saint Pete
. They came from clearwater. Up here into orlando to take cover. Listen, its going to be a long night for them. A very long day tomorrow. Especially if we lose power throughout the night. The people who left that storm to get away from it may feel it nonetheless. So we will be on standby throughout the night. Got a special come your way 10 00 eastern time from orlando, we will follow every track of this storm as milton makes its way, laura, here in florida tonight. Laura all right, bill, thank you very much. There has been reckless and irresponsible and relentless promotion of disinformation and outright lies about what is going on. Its undermining confidence in the people of florida. Why do you think trump is spreading misinformation . I dont know. I simply dont know. I can speculate. But, i just find it i mean, i have used the phrase more than i have ever used it in my whole career, unamerican. Its unamerican. Its not who the hell we are. What are they talking about . Laura now, this is so predictable. So, floridians are focused on survival, not politics, but democrats and their
Media Lackeys
were busy with another type of
Disaster Relief Today
a
Rescue Operation
for
Kamalas Campaign
as they have some times before, they are trying to deflect and even silence their political opponents. And kamala seems like she is desperately trying to turn the page from her underwhelming
Media Tour
so, she jumped on the disinfo bandwagon. Are we concerned about any
Misinformation Or Disinformation
regarding redhawkss that we need to clear up at this point . There has been misinformation at this point thats for sure. What is all of this misinformation they are so worried about . Former
President Trump
led this onslaught of
Lies Property
being confiscated its simply not true. Laura wait, where did biden find people saying that property is being confiscated . Well, after some digging, we found the
White House
sourced a single twitter account, with fewer than 5,000 followers for that bit of misinformation. If anyone is amplifying disinformation its the democrats themselves and biden. With
Battle Ground Poll
numbers trending toward trump, the proharris media, they are panicked, they are frustrated, which means a return to the echo chamber. There is a significant amount of misinformation being spread. They are keenly aware of the misinformation that is currently circulating on all corners of the internet. Something so concerning to the administration and were seeing the effects of it. Laura and, again, what are they basing this on . One of the things that has struck me about
Hurricane Milton
the way that i have heard people discussing this storm and the sort of distrust about what this storm actually is. I spoke to an elderly woman who told me that she believed that this hurricane was geo engineered. Laura okay. So now one random woman that he ran into makes a
Cnn Disinformation Narrative
. Now,
The Truth
is, fema is also doing its own
Damage Control
because it hurt its own credibility. Now, last night on the angle we exposed the agency wide prioritization of diversity, equity and inclusion. And fox, of course, has already documented their slowfooted response to
Hurricane Helene
. Just feel like we are being forgotten. We havent received any response from fema. Were not getting the amount of support that we need. We havent seen fema. We havent seen red cross. We havent seen hearts with hands. We have seen no agencies come through here. There is so much more that could be done. And giving
Us 750
if you can even apply for it is ridiculous. 750 isnt going to do anything even if you do get approved. Laura but fema wants you to feel sorry for them. Environment has been very tough the last couple of weeks with all of the
Information Misinformation
that we have been seeing. Its difficult to operate when we dont have
Trust And Trust
in those institutions that are built in there to protect people. And so we need to continue to push forward on getting that accurate information out there. Thats what we have been doing. Laura its hard for them. Okay. Well,
The Truth
is, the
Bidenharris Administration
did not get its
Act Together Until Public Outrage Grew
and americans realized how fema was actually spending our money and, yeah, its our money. And also, when we discover that it was obvious that the feds hadnt predeployed enough resources despite knowing how bad the hurricane was actually n are trying to spin their failures as misinformation. Again, other than a few fringe theories out there there are certain facts that are beyond dispute. First, fema did neglect residents in areas ravaged by
Hurricane Helene
as exposed by the victims themselves. And it wasnt until they started speaking out and
Elon Musk
publicly criticized the troubling he was having getting his
Star Blink
terminals dropped into affected areas that things finally started improving. Second,
Dhs Secretary
mayorkas literally told us they were running out of money for fema hurricane assistance. We are meeting the immediate needs with the money we have. We are expecting another hurricane hitting. We do not have the
Funds Fema
does not have the funds to make it through the season. Laura third, fema allocated over
640 Million
this year alone to sheltering migrants. So combine this with other money that dhs, which oversees
Fema Has
already spent on resettling migrants since 2021, and were talking billions. We dont even know how much, but billions and billions of dollars sent
Biden And Harris
took office. And this money, of course, should be spent and allocated to shoring up
Disaster Management
for americans. Not on illegal aliens. Fourth, in addition to the billions for the

that her administration green lit to go to lebanon. So, instead of addressing the substantive criticisms, the

The last thing that they deserve is to have a socalled leader make them more afraid than they already are. The gamesmanship has to stop. At some point the politics have to end, especially in a moment of crisis. Laura you know what was unconscionable that you were in vegas at a

when this hurricane was ripping through
North Carolina
. Yeah, you are the

still, remember . Look, what we know from our experience with covid is that powerful forces collaborated with

to censor their critics. And now all these years later, we see that many of the physicians who were censored or punished during covid were, in fact, telling

Florida Congresswoman Anna paulina luna, who lives in the
Saint Pete area. Congresswoman, after this
Storm Passes, what do you expect to see when you go home . Like many resident that evacuated the
Pinellas County Region we are anticipating that some of us if we dont have homes that the damage is going to be probably pretty devastating. I will say that, you know, right now we are focused on ensuring that our people are taken
Care Of. Thats the number one thing that any elected official has is to ensure that our people are, again, taken
Care Of. If you are struggling with a fema claim, can you head to my office at luna dot hurricane. Gov. I have been this talks with not just fema and the
Governors Office but also the
White House. We are going to ensure that money goes to americans, not illegals. The fact that that happened is unacceptable. But also. Laura they say it didnt happen. They are calling all of that i think misinformation and disinformation. Thats in the pile of complaints that we heard today from the
White House. In other words, blaming the people for not having trust in their institutions and blaming, you know, a couple of politicians, including
Donald Trump. Thats unacceptable. I have presented legislation to end that funding immediately. We do have funding, i want to assure the american people we introduced funding that is bipartisan,
15 Billion that will go directly to americans who have been impacted by the flooding and the hurricanes. And frankly, this next administration, the trump administration, i believe, will put americans first. But, again, we are focusing on ensuring that everyone is taken
Care Of. I will say that locally in
Tampa Bay, whether you are a
Democrat Or Republican or independent, we are working together to ensure our people are going to be taken
Care Of. Governor desantis is ready and standing by. We
Will Help your families that are in the area. Laura congresswoman, we actually have a soundbite from
Governor Desantis, when again, they were pushes this narrative at a time when people are going to be fighting for their survival and their property. Everything they have worked for. This is what the media goes with. Watch. We live in an era where if you put out crap online, you can get a lot of people to share it and you can monetize that. Thats just the way it is. But if you are hearing things, something that is just outrageous, just know in the state of florida, none of that stuff would ever fly. So you dont have to worry about that. Fema is not leading this show. We are leading the show here in the state of florida. We are marshaling whatever assets are available to us. Laura congresswoman, man, he has had more experience with managing hurricanes, i believe, than any living governor, i believe. Most certainly and if there is one person that will handle the job its
Governor Desantis and i look forward to working with him to ensure that our residents are taken

Hurricane Milton
Eye Wall still offshore. Landing within the next hour or two. We are staying on this story. First, axios is sounding the alarm on the
Senate Balance of power saying the
Warning Signs are flashing for
Democrat Candidates in three of schumers most important states for playing defense. One of them wisconsin. Cook political just flipped the
Senate Race between
Eric Love did i and
Democrat Senator Tammy Baldwin from lean democrat to
Toss Up joining me now the aforementioned
Eric Love did i the candidate in wisconsin i know you have been confident about your chances recent days surged in the polls 7 in august to 2 points now according to cook political. Whats changed and how much does
Donald Trump have to do with it . Look, im staying on the issues, and that is the most important thing we have had he internal polls that have us actually tied or even up one. Yes, they are in complete panic mode. I feel really good about the race. Senator baldwin is one of the most extreme liberal left

And trying to drive the message. But i need help. These are expensive races. If you can go to eric hovde. Com that would be great. I feel really good about it. Laura eric, thank you very much. Great to see you tonight. Up next, we are expecting a live update on
Hurricane Milton from florida. Governor
Ron Desantis, this storm could make landfall in less than an hour now were told. Were going to bring all the breaking news coming up. Laura the northern
Eye Wall of
Hurricane Milton is moving on shore. It will make landfall in the next
Half Hour or so. A deadly
Storm Surge and its
Wind Field is expanding rapidly. There has been more than 100
Tornado Warnings throughout the day and nearly 200,000 already without power. Now, were awaiting an update from florida governor
Ron Desantis and is he walking out right now. Sarasota county as a category 3 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 120 mileperhour. Its moving toward the northeast at 17 mileperhour and it will continue to move across central florida throughout the night. And into the early morning hours. We have seen a weakening of the storm over the last 24 hours. We also saw it sped up, which means its hitting the
Gulf Coast prior to
High Tide which we hope
Will Help mitigate some of the
Storm Surge. There will be there is you g to continue to be
Storm Surge and eventually on the
East Coast of florida. We are going to see significant amount of rainfall on the northern part of the storm. There has already been 116
Tornado Warnings with 19 confirmed touchdowns throughout the state. Nine
Flash Flood warnings and four additional flood watches with many, many more to come. Numerous counties have reported tornado damage. Peak
Storm Surge is predicted to be between 5 and 13 feet depending on where you are on the
Gulf Coast of florida. As of right now, the peak
Storm Surge looks to be between the charlotte,
Lee County Line up until
Anna Maria Island and manatee county. Prior to landfall, the state completed nearly 2,000 missions, generators were sent to shelters, we have massive amounts of
Fuel Reserves that are staged and ready to go millions of gallons of gas. When the ports reopen, florida
Highway Patrol will be standing by to escort
Fuel Trucks two
Service Stations so that people will have access to fuel as they return to their homes the
Florida Department of transportation is staged and ready to go. As soon as the
Storm Passes they have 156 bridge inspectors. 200
Cut And Toss personnel and generators and heavy equipment and trucks. We have massive amounts of
Search And Rescue equipment and personnel standing by. And we hope that there is not a big need for that but we are prepared for that and thats not just our state and local, its also our o
National Guard, our
State Guard we have about 9,000
National Guard personnel between florida and other states. We also have florida
Highway Patrol
Fish And Wildlife department of law enforcement. Of course our florida
State Guard. Theres a lot of questions about prestaging linemen, which is our practice here in florida. Given that you have a lot of linemen working for
Hurricane Helene and places like georgia and
North Carolina. Im happy to report that we have over 50,000 linemen that are in the state of florida, and as soon as its safe to do so they will commence with power restoration. We are already seeing
Power Outages. You are going to see a lot more
Power Outages over the course of tonight and into tomorrow morning. Now, at this point its too dangerous to evacuate safely, so you have to shelter in place. And just hunker down. Category 3 storm for most places in florida, particularly newer construction likely the building is going to be able to withstand it. But if you start to get in a situation where trees are snapping, power is popping, you do have to treat it like a tornado. And then if you are in a
Tornado Warning, thats a
Duck And Cover in a place thats safe in your structure. Those can be very, very dangerous even if you are inside in cover. Stay inside and stay off the roads. Floodwaters and rushing
Storm Surge are very dangerous and i would say thats even more so in spite of everything the state did
Help Local Communities Hit by helene they proved a lot of debris and they did remove a lot of debris over the last 72 hours. You have old debris and new debris in some of those places. There is going to be hazards in the
Storm Surge and in the flood waters. Stay put until the storm is passed. If you are in sarasota, manatee, some of those areas where the eye of the storm is going. It may be where things calm down for a minute. Just understand that means you are in the eye. Its going to be go back and get really nasty very soon. Dont go outdoors until it is confirmed safe. Can you listen to your local
Emergency Management officials about that one. Power outages are going to happen as i mentioned. Please, if you are using a generator, make sure you are using it safely. Do not run the generator inside your home that can be fatal. Make sure its outside the home at a safe distance from windows and doorways. If you see dangerous conditions, please report those to your local authorities, so that they can help protect people and mitigate it. So the storm is here, its time for everybody to hunker down. I know we have got massive amounts of resources that have been prepared for this storm. People are tired because of having to deal with
Hurricane Helene and, yet, all i have seen is people just dig deep inside and say were not going to be denied. Were going to get the job done. I really appreciate everybody thats worked so hard on the heels of helene to prepare for this storm and to be ready to go. You will see that in action very shortly as this
Storm Passes. Okay,
Kevin Guthrie . Thank you, governor, for leading us through this. I appreciate your
Support Conditions across the state continue to deteriorate as
Hurricane Michael im sorry
Hurricane Milton approaches landfall on floridas no more michael, no, sir, no, sir. Hurricane milton approaches landfall on floridas
West Coast. Many areas are already experiencing lifethreatening
Storm Surge or lifethreatening tornadoes. Please make sure if a
Tornado Warning comes in, especially on our
East Coast of florida, we have certainly had a lot of tornadic activity over there confirmed confirmed
Radar Signature confirmed tornadoes. We do have
Virginia Task force one, ohio
Task Force one and miami
Task Force one going into those areas to help with those structural collapses that have happened. Were receiving somewhere in the neighborhood, this is really really rough numbers right now but about 125 homes that have been destroyed. Most of them
Mobile Homes in senior communities. We are trying to get into floridas most vulnerable to make sure they are taken
Care Of. If you have not already left, as i just said, as the governor just said, you need to stay inside, stay safe, and stay put. Make sure that you are getting to a safe area of your home, that you are getting as low as you possibly can that is if you have a single story residents and no
Storm Surge. You want to get as low as you possibly can i had this question asked of me earlier. I go to the bottom of the house if i have got
Storm Surge . The answer is no. If you have got two floors, you need to go to the lowest part of the second floor to escape the
Storm Surge, please do not if you have
Storm Surge coming in, please just do not go to the lowest level of your home. Do not attempt to leave your home. Laura all right. Well check back with that as needed. Joining me now bruce rector, the mayor of clearwater, florida which is just outside of tampa getting hit very hard right now. Mayor, your reaction to the governors warnings, but, a little bit of reassurance there that the storm had weakened although other, you know, disturbing aspects being tornadoes and obviously the large
Storm Surge across florida to the
West Coast, to the
West Coast to the
East Coast. Well,
Look W what he said is really important for us in
Clearwater And North of
Braden Ton is that unfortunately for them we feel for our
Friends South of us. To be north of the eye of the storm that helps us with
Storm Surge. And as you have seen two weeks ago we were just devastated here on clearwater beach. All of our
Barrier Island communities here in
Tampa Bay with
Storm Surge. So, that
Will Help us some. But as also pointed out we were just not able to get the massive amounts of debris removed in time this storm to come through. The high winds out there now are going to throw a lot of that around and thats a very dangerous situation. If anyone is out there today, please shelter in place because that debris is very dangerous. Laura yeah. Absolutely insane, mayor. We saw several people out earlier in our footage and you have to have your head examined or, i mean, projectiles flying everywhere, given the devastation of just a few weeks ago, mayor, we keep you in our prayers and all of your people in our prayers. Thank you for checking in with us tonight. And as florida braces for another direct hit, were learning more about the
Governments Neglect of the victims from the previous hurricane. Helene. And bodies are still being found, folks have been stranded with
No One and nowhere to turn like an 83yearold named sue. She came out and said, you know, i dont want to cause any trouble, but could somebody help me . She said im here. I dont have any power. I dont have any water. I dont have any food. I dont have any ability to get anywhere. I had
Heart Surgery two weeks ago. She just had
Heart Surgery and she is here by herself. She has fallen. She has a mark on her forehead here. Laura that bass a
Heart Breaking report. Good for dr. Phil. Joining me now katie pavlich, fox news contributor. Katy, i know you have friends in
North Carolina. Your friend in
Buncombe County hit so hard. Is she focusing on disinformation or just trying to get by . Katie well, telling her story people have been accused of disinformation, misinformation as a distraction away from the failure for the government to respond to get ahead of
Hurricane Helene and the aftermath of this. I mean, we have seen the footage. I think its interesting that
Government Bureaucrats believe they can still get away with just calling
Something Disinformation or misinformation and we hear these stories firsthand from people on video in photos, friends of family,
Friends Who Know who are there doing rescues, talked to a friend named josh who was in
Black Mountain doing rescuing, saying he still hadnt seen
Government Help down in that area. Still needing help, you have the federal government and the biden administration. More interested in asserting herself now in the current situation than she was in preparing for the first disaster. And its very clear, laura, that they screwed up. Because they are treating
Hurricane Milton very differently than they treated the oncoming storm. Damage in
North Carolina. Laura yeah, we also are learning now about what this is going to cost potentially in florida. I mean, even if its slightly downgraded to a category 3, the damage could be, you know, according to cnbc,
Wall Street analysts are saying it could be up to
157 Billion in losses. Just in the tampa region. Skate at this, and we look at what we spent our
Taxpayer Dollars what we spent on other countrys priorities and the
Illegal Immigrants Coming N the hundreds of billions. People are scamping their
Headsr Heads and getting angry and that is not misinformation. Katie yeah, laura. The response to pointing out that
Fema Has spent billions of dollars relocating illegal immigrants inside this country is to say that oh well, thats a different bucket of cash and we have allocated resources to do that. Dont mind the secretary of
Homeland Security causing this panic this week by saying that they are out of money and that they cant finish the hurricane season. And
The Truth is that, you know, the government says all of the time that we can do all of these things at once. We are america. Well, clearly they are not doing all these things at once. People are still stranded in
North Carolina where they havent seen fema. They havent seen federal
Government Help for a week on end. You saw you heard from congressman michael waltz, for example, saying
Government Helicopters were grounded while private helicopters were trying to get to these people who needed rescuing. They keep trying to go back to defending the bureaucracy and getting into the nuts and bolts of the buckets of money. Well, americans are having a really tough time and the person in charge of
Homeland Security said just a couple of days ago they cant handle the problem. Clearly they are not doing what they can to make sure they are getting it right. Laura i think, katie, people just want americans cared for, first. Because if we are not cared for, we are not going to be much help to anybody else because we will collapse. We dont want that to happen. We want everyone to be safe. Katy, thank you for your
Perspective Tonight as always. Joining me now is
Senator Acre C schmitt of missouri. We have been covering this
Storm Surge in florida, devastating damage, obviously still havent been able to clean up fully from the hurricane of just a few weeks ago,
Hurricane Helene. Your reaction to what seems to be this preemptive attempt buoy
Biden And Harris in the
Media Silence critics of any aspect of the
Governments Response by calling it all disinformation. Thanks, laura. First, let me just say that the folks in missouri and all across the country are praying for floridians and folks in the southeast who have already suffered so much already and they have got another one coming here. So we are with you. This is kind of a standard playbook for anything they dont like to hear. They label it
Misinformation Or Disinformation. They have tried to censor this stuff before, during covid, because they didnt like it wasnt the regimes narrative and here we go again. Real stories, people hurting not getting help. In fact, you know,
Relief Efforts by private citizens were being blocked. So,
Fema Has, you know, a completely the federal
Governments Response here led by
Joe Biden and
Kamala Harris have completely failed the people of
North Carolina and they can do better. Because when people get frustrated you alluded to this. There is all in the money in the world for
Ukraine And Lebanon and
Tone Deafness of announcing the
180 Million for lebanon a week ago when people in
North Carolina suffering. Emblematic of how out of touch
Kamala Harris is with the situation on the ground. Now you see her trying to insert herself in these phone calls. Its really awkward. So, anyway, were hoping and praying for the folks in florida. They deserve better response the folks in
North Carolina have. To just dismiss criticism and calling
It Misinformation is a joke. Laura
You Saw
Governor Desantis master full in dealing with these types of hurricane even in a terrible situation, he is reassuring to people to see someone who knows what the heck they are doing. At the same time, they wants to be taken seriously on the federal
Level And Reputation rehab on the hurricane, management, we had
Kamala Harris do this kind of softball
Media Tour,
Drinking Beer with colbert, again, as all these challenges are facing the country, i mean its fine to do a kitschy thing, its fine, i guess. Not if you want to be taken seriously when a lot of voters dont take her seriously or her experience. Your reaction to that . Well, its painful to watch. Its excruciating. Like some sort of ai generated robot with an algorithm of gibberish. They hid her for a long time. They cant hide her anymore. The american people deserve more. When she is given
Softball Questions she blows it. She cant do one thing different than
Joe Biden. Its crazy. Multiple times we didnt get to interview at butler but, senator, it was great to see you there for that historic day. We will have you back soon. Thank you very much. Were going to go back live on the ground in florida as the
Eye Wall is bearing down on that state coming up. Laura
Hurricane Miltons
Northern Iowa spreading onshore should be making landfall soon, joining us now from florida is
Mike Khaki fox whether
Meteorologist And Storm specialist. Mike, . Hello laura. Were in the thick of it now, the
Wall Impacting here at the beach. We have a
Wind Gust at 90 and just recently 76, that is
Hurricane Force at the nearby airport. The also had about 9 inches of rain so it is really raining hard. The good
News Tonight though for some of us is that the track of milton was moving northeast and now it is jogging and coming right in but it is coming south of
Tampa Bay. What does that mean for us here in these beaches . A lower
Storm Surge, no way we will hit eight to 12 feet because right now the winds are still blowing offshore so the water has not come up. Eventually once the centre clears the area, we get winds from the
South And Southwest and that will bring in some surge. This is also on the lower
Surge Numbers and
Tampa Bay which are also forecast at 812 feet. The water is coming up south of here and down towards the
County Beaches and
Fort Myers and naples. It comes on shore, we get landfall and then we have to worry again about natos. We have had some destructive tornadoes in the eastern part of the state and there is a line to east and they will extend the watch overnight for those areas and that includes over towards
Daytona Beach overnight. We will have more wind and
Power Outages and more tornadoes. So far here, power just went out but weve got a power around us with all the
Power Outages, we checked in just over 10 . So not too bad so far we still have another three or four hours with this wind to deal with and a lot of rainfall. Some of these totals will be easily 1215 inches and that will bring in some
Flash Flooding. So its a long way to go but a bit of a positive
Night Tonight on that track which is a more positive one for
Tampa Bay. But not as good for an
Area South of tampa and down the
Coast And Southwest florida. Laura might, please be careful out there. We see the debris in the background, it is so dangerous. No one can be out in the storm and mike should not even be out in the storm but he is a professional so he is doing it for us. Thank you very much, mike. Florida residents are being told to shelter in place and there are some that do go out, racing to be in the centre of it. Joining me now is a
Storm Chaser and mike, where are you and were you seeing . [inaudible] weve got the most intense rain coming off here. We can see it just off the
Side Wall right now. And this is crazy. Laura mike, we cannot hear you very well and it is no wonder, given what youre standing in right now. But i think one thing if you can hear me mike, if you can hear me and i think you can hear me, weve got some indication that the storm it may not be as bad in certain parts of the state as in other parts of the state. And you just heard from our meteorologist that the south of tampa might get hit a little bit harder than was expected. Yet we already have more than 200,000 people without power,
Sewage Stations have been closed , schools have been closed ,
Gas Stations the ones that are most convenient to communities are obviously closed and are out of gasoline. If you can hear me, mike, in the storms that you have covered as a
Storm Chaser, how would you rate this, thus far with the
Northern Iowa i walls just touching on shore, if you can hear me . Maybe you can put up a
Hand Signal of 1 to 10, how you rate this. Probably an eight. Laura i can hear you now so its bad . Yes. Its very rare to have a northern i wall this intense. Thats what they were worried about when it was going to build this way. We are seeing a
Shift South and i think they let their guard down thinking we wouldnt be getting anything. Laura might, we have to leave you there but please stay safe. That is at rest tonight, make sure to follow us all night long on fox, jesse is up next.
