Im sure President Putin wants it to stop. Thats a good combination. So we want to have a fair deal for everybody. What do you envision as fair . Thats too early to say that. I have my own ideas and the president has definitely his own ideas. It has to be fair. This War Shouldnt be started. I that i the problem that putin killed so many people and, of course, we need to do everything to pressure him to stop this war. He is in our territory. Thats the most important. He is in our territory and how to stop the war to pressure him as we can. We have to do it. Do you think that the u. S. Is the best the leader of support. You ask the leader. Really, we have the support of the united states and thank you to the people of america and understand that united states can be the leader through any negotiation. And it is interesting. You heard zelenskyy there moments ago saying about putin, he is in our territory. And he has killed so many people. And then you heard former President Trump talking about the beauty of ukraine. President zelenskyy said you should come. He would like him to come back to see what the country is like now and it is a complicated puzzle as President Trump just said. There is a lot of a lot of sensitivities around all of this. But it is good for all sides to be talking and to be talking about solutions. Thats what we just saw this morning from former President Trump and President Zelenskyy of ukraine. I think one of the things that sticks out to me most, martha, is the fact that these World Leaders are starting to talk to President Trump in the absence largely of the biden White House and harris, who is on the Campaign Trail and not engaging on anything, either. They are coming to talk to President Trump because they see a road ahead where the future seems to lead towards a potential Trump Presidency and they want to be able to hedge their bets and say we need to be able to talk to him and get things started quickly if he occupies the White House again come january of next year. I think thats just going to continue as the bidenharris White House largely disappears from the World Stage and in many ways disappears from the domestic stage right now as well. He did meet with the Vice President Yesterday and says she stands by ukraine and continue to support them militarily and something along the lines of stand by indefinitely in this situation. In terms of what i find interesting is the language around talking at this point. That there is it feels on all sides. Because earlier President Zelenskyy was very dug in saying he would only accept the reclaiming of crimea and all the areas that had been taken over by russia. Do you think there is flexibility on that now . What is your take . I think he is realizing that he doesnt have a choice. He has to display some flexibility. He has to live in the real world. This is war that started with russia having a 5one Advantage every most ever whether it be people or weapons and economies. And thats just the reality that he is going to have to work through. He knows that. So there is i think there will always be the willingness for people to realize they have to talk in order to end these wars. Both sides dont seem to be on the verge of any clear victory and its just the way forward now. Along the lines what does trump do . He will come in and say we have to be able to find a way to make a deal. Martha as i said, so many people have been killed in this horrific war that started several years ago now. I want to talk to you a little bit about israel. We heard from Benjamin Netanyahu earlier today and their Defense Forces continue to strike hezbollah targets in lebanon. The Terror Group has been Firing Missiles at Tel Aviv and haifa, areas that we have not seen this kind of kinetic action in and it is a very frightening situation. Israel has mobilized additional troops on their northern border. The Prime Minister has sent mixed messages for a 21 Day Ceasefire across the israel lebanon border. Last hour he laid out quite clearly at the United Nations israels mission. Hezbollah is the quintessential Terror Organization in the world today. It has tentacles that span in all continents. It has attacked israel viciously over the last 20 years. In the last year completely unprovoked. I said to the people of lebanon this week, get out of the Death Trap that hezbollah has put you in. Dont let were not at war with you, were at war with hezbollah, which has hijacked your country and threatens to destroy ours. As long as hezbollah chooses the path of war. Your take on how this is being handled, colonel. Well, unfortunately it doesnt seem to be handled by the White House at all. Maybe not even very well. So that is my top concern with everybody vacating washington, d. C. I dont think that will drive the Decision Cycle of netanyahu and the israeli people to do what they need to do in order to achieve the goals that netanyahu laid out. Return the israeli people back to the northern regions of israel that they were removed from at the beginning of this conflict. He seems to be willing to engage with this 21Day Ceasefire as an idea because he agrees with the aims of moving the is lease and achieving is peace even potentially with hezbollah itself. He is not willing to give hezbollah 21 days just to seek advantage in the process of a ceasefire in the first place. Thats critical. He made it very clear in his speech as well that israel has the ability to weak out to other nations in the middle east. If they strike israel, israel will strike back. He is not willing to give up any of the advantage that israel has gained through the process of what theyve been doing to decapitate the leadership of hezbollah inside lebanon. So this is enormous story now is Hurricane Helene, which has made history and not the kind we like to see. It is category 4 storm. It was the strongest on record to slam into floridas big Bend Region on the Gulf Side there. It is now a vicious tropical storm. Helene is making its way north bringing high winds and catastrophic flooding. You can see the unbelievable images were getting here. Florida officials say there is potential for more Lifethreatening Storm Surge in helenes after math. As many as 4 Million have no power. The storm is currently hovering over the state of Georgia And Governor Brian Kemp with an update just a short time ago. Were responding to critical assets as we speak. Weve got multiple hospitals in South Georgia without power. Backup generators were knocked out. Responding to Nursing Homes and we still have people trapped in homes that we are trying to cut our way into right now. So we had a really hardhit storm across a wide part of our state. Martha Atlantas Fire Rescue Department saying they have rescued 25 people at least from floodwaters during the night and this to me is the most extraordinary scene. One member of the Fox Weather Family also jumped into action. Meteorologist Bob Van Dylan was covering the storm this morning when we heard screams from a woman who drove her car in rising floodwaters, trapped and screaming for help. He called 911 but they had not arrived. He was a distance from her at that point. He knew they were very busy the rescue crews and decided to take matters into his own hands and swam over to her and carried her back to safety after a really grueling effort to get her out of the car. Her Seat Belt was on and the window open a tiny bit and he saved her life. Its safe to say that he saved this womans life. Fox Weather Meteorologist is with us now in tampa, florida. This is tough work for everybody involved. Michael, tell us whats going on in tampa. Yeah, martha, unbelievable. We saw in spots over a seven foot Storm Surge. This is exactly what that Storm Surge can do. You can see the waterlines on these peoples residences, all of the debris that was washed out. Real quick sierra was joining me. The adrenaline kicked in and i just thought i had to get out. Have you ever seen anything like this before . Not at all, no. You see it in movies and tv but never in person. It is an unbelievable sight. Thats really what weve heard from a lot of folks that are still trying to clean up, still trying to recover because again, lots of destruction especially because of that literally recordsetting Storm Surge that We Saw here in the Tampa St. Pete area. Her Seat Belt was stuck initially. How terrifying for this woman to be in this car. The way people lose their lives in these moments, i hate to say it but its true. Thank god he was there and heard her cries. As he told us, the 911 Calls were overwhelmed and couldnt get to everyone who needed their help. This woman is going home today thanks to Bob Van Dylan.
