Storm crashed into the big Bend Coast as a cat 4 hurricane. Downed lines flooded stuff. We will show you damage. It is literally just the tip of the iceberg. Brian plus across the way on the east Side Couple of hours prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to address the United Nations as israel braces for a possible Ground Incursion into lebanon. General Jack Keane is here with the analysis and the breaking news. Ainsley and it could have been the moment that helped her or made her lose the 2016 elections. And now she is doubling down. You could put half of trump supporters into what i call the basketball of deplorables. Racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic,. Basket of deplorables. That was in 2016. We will tell you her latest comment Coming Up. The second how about of Fox Friends starts right now. Remember, mornings are better with friends. Brian Fox Weather Alert right now tropical Storm Helene is tearing through georgia. Look at this. First responders In Atlanta. Saving a baby and a couple of dogs in a dramatic high water rescue. Lawrence heres the moment the storm made landfall in florida. Fox weather Mike Seidel was live on air. Whoa, did you see that power flash, ari . I was surprised. Here comes another one. There goes another one. Holy oh my gosh. That was three or four right there. I thought it was lightning. There goes another one. This is incredible. I have never seen that many power Flashes Backtobacktoback in my career. Ainsley transformers. Janice dean is tracking the storm. Fox Weather Bill Van dylan in Atlanta Flash Flood warning. Team rubicon on the ground. Art De La Cruise will join us in just a few minutes but we start with Fox Weathers michael he is at this may live in tampa. Michael, what does it look like there . I have friends who live there and their basements have been flooded. Yeah, guys, good morning, its basements that have been flooded. It is Parking Garages that have been flooded and homes that have been flooded as well. What you are looking at behind me is Bayshore Boulevard and you can see all of the storm water inundation. In fact, we picked up over 7 feet of Storm Surge where were at on Bayshore Boulevard there is a Water Line on this tree. Might be a little difficult to see but this is how high the water got. Incredible and unfortunately very destructive as well. The highest Wind Gust because the winds also bringing down numerous trees and Power Lines here in the state of florida. Over A Million residents without power this morning. Hillsborough county officials reporting more than 300 calls for help by the way between 11 00 p. M. Last night and 4 00 a. M. This morning with reports of House Fires on what is called davis island. We have also had our major bridges that connect tampa to saint pete. You have think about places like the howard franklin bridge, The Sunshine sky way, Courtney Causeway all closed not just because of the Storm Surge but the debris. Real quick. One thing you are not seeing on here, outlines of all of this immense Storm Surge flooding. Is the smell. And the smell here is of raw sewage. Meaning if you are just joining us in Florida And Thinking of, perhaps, venturing into the water. Knowing what is in the water, the contents of that water could be dangerous. Thank Goodness Helene is now making its way north bound and it is losing some steam but, again, for our friends and family in parts of georgia and eventually the carolinas, they have to brace for impact. Here in tampa though. Again, still reeling from the impacts of hurricane helene. Steve all right. Michael, thank you very much for the live report. Ainsley now lets go to Fox Weather Bill Van dillen Live In Atlanta where flooding is getting worse and first responders are out in force working to save lives, hey, bob, can you hear us . Yeah i got you loud and clear see we have this area that drove into the Area Flooding screaming out. Called 911. Fire department is coming in. But she drove right into the flood. This is the peachtree creek. And it is rising at the moment. We got this Thing Cresting at about 23 feet. Its going to go up a little bit more. This by the way we had the video of the high water rescues earlier. That was a mile away from this spot where i am right now. People are still driving around and seeing all these floodwaters still going around the barrier getting. In im patiently awaiting for 911 to call. They said the Fire Department was coming from atlanta. Im in North Atlanta right now on the corner of North Side drive, pretty big Populated Area right here. She is still screaming. But we gotcha. 911, theyre coming. Youre good. Youre good. [screaming] oh, man, its a situation. We will get back to you in a little bit. I will see if i can help this lady out a little bit more. Ill be back. Steve bob has got to go help them. Bob Van Dylan. Lawrence just explain to the audience. See that path, right . Not as easy as it looks to get to that path. Is he going to try to help her out. Thats a dangerous situation even for firemen to get across. Heres the thing. You know, as we just haired from Michael Estime in tampa if people are thinking about going out and walking through the area. I cant tell you how many times we have warned through the decades from this program is during a hurricane or high water event, sometimes you know you think im going to walk around over there. If a manhole has popped out, you would walk that way and go straight down into a manhole, which is something that you really dont want to do on a day like today. Brian you are no the getting out. Six minutes now after the hour. Team rubicon is one of the groups on the ground Efforting Effortingsearch and rescues. Team Rubicon Ceo Art Delacruz joins us now along with the Groups Route Leader Lawrence Montoya live in panama city, florida. Good morning to you, art. Thank you so much for coming on with us. Thanks for having us. What do you do in these situations lady screaming. Else are could you We Saw earlier the mom, the baby and the Two Dogs. For us a lot of what we are trying to do is stay out of the problem. Right now Route Clearance teams, lawrence, his job is to be able to clear all of the debris. So first responders, 9 11, all of these responses can actually go out there and do the work that they have to do. Saving lives is a priority at this moment. Every emergency is different how is it different . I think you cant build the winning team on the day of the team. We actually had an exercise where we went through. This we trained over 28,000 volunteers skills. Equipment and this rehearsal puts us in this moment we know what to do and do it safely. Other component is the bulk skills, experience and the training that they had in their previous uniform. Lawrence on Law Enforcement as well as first responders. So you guys work. You are not in competition. You are working together. Yeah, lawrence, you mentioned something thats really important is it has to be team work. We actually have representatives national Operations Center in washington, d. C. And Fema Region four In Atlanta and locally and that coordination is really critical, because you either get in the way or you facilitate the actual Coordination And Response thats required. Steve we should point out apparently a Flash Flood Watch and warning. Ainsley emergency. Steve Flash Flood Emergency. Janice open your mic what is going on In Atlanta. They just issued a Flash Flood Emergency which doesnt happen very often. That means catastrophic flooding is happening in the atlanta, georgia area. We had Bob Van Dillen on the scene moments ago with a woman couldnt cross the water. She was screaming and bob took off his gear and said he is going to go try to help. This is what is happening right now in one of the biggest cities in georgia. A Flash Flood Emergency, meaning that they cant handle the water. It is coming so fast and furious, and this is very concerning because this is the type of scenario that were going to see not only in georgia, but its also happening in the carolinas. So, there where you see the pinks on your map here, those are Flash Flood emergencies and that means catastrophic flooding is occurring right now. And taking a look at the live radar so We Saw Rainfall Category 4. Part 269 storm very dangerous for a lot of population here or heavily Populated Areas that We Saw or We Saw in florida. The water keeps coming down. We have catastrophic flooding in and around the asheville area in towards the Charlotte Area and its because the water cannot take any more. The ground is saturated, we also have the Southern Appalachians here and that helps ring out some of this water. Water next door. Water levels they have never seen before. This is huge concern and happening right now not only in the Atlanta Area but also in the carolinas, so Thats Part 2 of this storm system. And, you know, maybe this is the deadliest. We dont have any idea. You know, we had this category 4 make landfall, all eye were on imminent danger from a very strong hurricane. But now the remnants of helene, thats what is causing incredible damage in terms of catastrophic flooding. And when you look at, you know, the deaths that are caused by weather disasters, flooding is number one. And its because people dont know how to deal with it. You know. People think they can travel across water and they cant see the Bottom Of. Thats what is unfolding right now in places like georgia and the carolinas and i am very fearful that people were watching the hurricane in florida and didnt realize that this was going to be, you know, in some cases maybe a widespread bigger event. Steve you made a good point. People think hurricane. Its the wind. More people die from the flooding and the Storm Surge than from the wind. Fresh Water Flooding is one of biggest causes the of dakota. Mob toya live in panama city, florida. Lawrence, just some real World Experience do you stay in the car. A lot of folks may experience what We Saw live on air the screaming. Absolutely. They should stay in their vehicle. Try to identify how fast the water is coming, how fast its rising. For our mission here is to obviously clear roads. Coming across somebody who is had an event where maybe they hydroplaned off the road. We will try to provide as much assistance to them as possible. As well as communicating, national Operation Center and trying to get any other resources in the area that we can. You know, we are more designed for clearing the roads. But if we have to help folk who are stranded we will do our best to get them safety. Brian see what you are seeing around panama city. What have you experienced . Yes, sir. So far its not too bad. In this area obviously we anticipate damage and blocked roads here. Soon but to this point, from Mobile Alabama to panama city, its been fairly clear. Were ready we are ready. Because you were to the west of the center of the storm, and thats why the damage is not quite what it has been in places like tampa. Lawrence, what you hearing various entities, Et Cetera about where it is particularly wad right now as The Sun comes up . It seems as Bee Travel East maybe towards perry, florida as we get there we will see a lot more damage, a lot more blocked roads. We have not been assigned a specific area yet. But we are ready we are standing by and just, you know, ready to assist any way we can. Ainsley all right, lawrence. Thank you. God bless you to do this. I know you are a volunteer with Team Rubicon. What you could is incredible. Art is still with us. The ceo of Team Rubicon. Tell us about your organization. How it started. What did people like lawrence that are just leaving their families. They flew in earlier, many of them into the Tampa Area or wherever the storm was heading, to tallahassee. They are there just to help americans. We love to say that Team Rubicon is a veteran led organization. We find, you know, veterans and civilians who are build to serving. They take off one uniform and they put on another. They set things aside and they say this is an opportunity where i can help. And at 180,000 volunteers. And over 1300 operations were eminencely proud of our ability to put trained people into situations where they can deliver services. Thanks so much, art. Thats the organization when janice was writing her Childrens Book donate the proceeds to Team Rubicon. Janice has been an amazing supporter for a long time. Amazing firefighter. More on the storm, throughout the morning. In the meantime, lets talk a little bit about this. The Vice President is heading to arizona Today Qu R she is going to visited the border for the first time in three years as she tries to sell investigators on her immigration ideas. Ainsley senior white House Correspondent Peter doocy was there the last time she visited the border. She was wearing a mask. I assume that was a long time ago during covid. Brian outdoors. Peter we were all wearing masks 2021. Vice president harris does not want to be known as the border czar. But she does want to take credit for improvements border crossings. But, look at the body of work. We had a graphic made. It shows 8. 3 million Border Encounters for the 3 and a half years of the bidenharris administration. That is up a modest 241 and a Half Percent from the southwest Border Encounters of the trump administration. She should save her airfare. She should go back to the White House and tell the president to close the border. He can do it with the signing of a just a signature and a piece of papered to the border patrol. Peter the Vice President has one event in Douglas Arizona and that trip to the border. Trump has Walker Michigan and Warren Michigan today. His Weekend Plans have opinion changed because the Secret Service is shortstaffed. The Trump Team wanted to be outside for a rally this weekend in wisconsin. Now its been moved inside. Which requires less manpower. We are being told too many agents and office
