Hunter biden, this is wild. Pleading guilty in the tax evasion case. Does this mean joe is going to break another promise. I said i will abide by the jury decision and i will do that and i will not pardon him. Laura: and he is not going to drop out of the race. The left's favorite narrative is back. An internal planning document created by the kremlin states that as a goal of the campaign securing russia's preferred outcome in the election. Laura: plus, we are going to take you inside that apartment building taken over by migrant grangs. Scared because there was a lot of them. That should capture the campaign of a supposed trailblazer like kamala harris we were going to empower women take charge and if necessary take names. The idea was that women would and should be in positions where they could be leaders in any field. And not restrained by the men around them. If only they were given a fair shot. Now, look at let's look at kamala harris. She has always tried to portray herself as a strong female force to be reckoned with. Come on, now. What we know always though is knowing that we get out of bed every morning. And we get our hair done. And we and we do what is necessary. Laura: the narrative was set early on. And the press dutifully fell in line. Now the push is in overdrive. Kamala the savior of the abortion industry. And then there's a strong resume, of course for attorney general, prosecutor, vice president, senator. Finally a political leader that women could be proud of. But the facts tell a different story. First, she didn't earn this nomination on her own. It was handed to her. She didn't build the campaign organization that is now propping her up, either. Nor did she develop any of her own positions, any idea she may have had back in california or in the senate, those have just been jed sonned by consultants who know her and don't trust her to make the case for them the supposed power house not doing what a vice president do let alone a president. When you see that even other had friends in the media are begging her i mean begging her not to delve into serious issues. She is being treated as a damsel in distress for sure. You're going to continue over the course of the next 8 or 9 weeks to see her talk a little bit about more about what her vision is going to be. In terms of policies that she is going to back when she becomes president. Laura: i don't even know what that is i remember when margaret thatcher though became prime minister of britain. She was the eepitome of grace and strength. And her economic and foreign policy vision, that was clearly her own. She was brilliant and could debate serious policy with the best of them. And, my generation expected that we would live in a world with a strong, powerful female leader and leaders across politics, business, ache dame i can't and medicine. And indeed on the angle every week we feature accomplished, bright, inarticulate women. Ceos, senators, scholars, philanthropist. Have you seen them all. There are people like tulsi gabbard, kim reynolds, marsha blackburn, people like senator katie britt in alabama. Who thinks that if any one of them were running for president, that they would be hiding from the press and giggling about whether to put tabasco on greens. Strong women are capable of being leaders. But she is being used by a powerful group of people to mask an unpopular and failing democrat party that voters frankly when they really look at the issues despise. But she is not going to be allowed to make any real changes to the failing policies of the past few years. No way. She is not going to be allowed to pick any of her top cabinet officials. In not very articulate one at that the ones who will really make the big calls, are the same people who got biden to drop out of the race. The same people who gave her the nomination. The same people who told her to argue that the debate rules should be changed. The same people who decided she'll stop at one debate, no more. Those are the ones who will have the real power if she were to ever win the presidency. I think she will even have less power than biden when you really think about it. At least he had some people in there who were loyal to him. And he did have a lot of experience. All kamala harris is going to have is her radical sister and i don't know maybe her brotherinlaw? she wants him to be attorney general, but i doubt they will let her do that. Of course, the press will not dig into any of this. They are not interested. They are going to maintain a shocking but i guess really kind of predictable level of incuriosity about who governs. The voters in november may have a different view. Women, all you women out there, you should want a real president who is directly responsible to you. Who isn't merely a puppet for more powerful figures. How is that girl power? forget kamala the tough prosecutor lady. She is more like an affable daytime talk show host. But this isn't what we expected of our first female vice president, certainly not what we expected. For our first female president. We want strong, smart, and never afraid to answer a question. It has been amazing to watch this campaign where kamala harris is afraid. Truly afraid to talk to the media. Which is a weird situation. Because the corporate press. They are already with her. There is a truth to that in the democrat party, but the problem is i think for a lot of voters. People don't really like what that permanent d. C. Class have been delivering. And kamala harris has had every opportunity, every opportunity to fight those policies while she has been the incumbent vice president and she has never done it once. Laura: marc? joy and laughter but we won't let her go out and talk about any serious issues. What is israeli jarrett really selling there? is that modern day feminism? is that the girl power we should hope our daughters aspire to? clearly not if she is not running because of gender or race what is her agenda. You say how it's like an 80's sitcom. Like a 90's sitcom seinfeld a show about nothing. That's the better analogy for the harris campaign. She did that interview with cnn. They asked her the most simple and obvious question. What will if you are elected. What will you do on day one? and she just gave a word salad. How can you be a not just a candidate for president. Every person running in a primary know what is they would do on day one. She is the nominee of the party. And she couldn't answer what i dual on day one. It's the most stunning i'm old enough to remember when roger mud asked ted kennedy you know why do you want to be president? and he couldn't answer the question. And this was the end of his political career. For president. How is that not the end of her candidacy right there? laura: that's great point. Mollie, again, the woman's movement, and girl power is all about just getting a fair shot not about changing the metrics for a female candidate. They want to change the rules for kamala. One debate. No press interviews a little softy on cnn with her emotional support animal. The rules are changed, taco, gardening and music and that's about it. The situation for women, they want to see a woman who is articulate, competent, has some successes behind her. We have not seen that with kamala harris or her political career. Now, that hasn't been a problem thus far. She is obviously run, managed to make it to great heights. The problem i think is that democrats and their media have pulled out every stop to help her get to this point and her polls are not where they need to be. This is going to be a close race because of how divided the country is. But she should be doing much better with the level of propaganda that she has been getting. Allies in the press. So as she has to start coming out and talking more and something that she struggles with she will have to are a kick could you late some positions. She has been using other people to come out and claim that she has changed all of these positions into she has consistently held quite radical. See how that bears up under questioning which at some point have to take place. Laura: speaking to mollie's point about where kamala harris stands in the polls. Despite getting this huge push from the regime media. Nate silver's analysis over the last week has been fairly shocking to a lot of the democrats. Trump now has a 60. 1% chance of winning. She were in a strong position, i don't think she would need to be spending a lot of time in new hampshire and minnesota. That's exactly right. They are afraid policies so toxic to the american people. The funny thing is that the left likes to say that donald trump is a threat to democracy. Do you know what is a real threat to democracy? a presidential candidate, nominee of a major party who won't take questions from the press. I mean, they are all upset that he called them fake news. Joining us now from right outside the courtroom fox news chief correspondent jonathan hunt. Jonathan, what can you tell us? laura, just about two hours ago, we ended what has been a quite extraordinary day here at the courthouse in downtown los angeles. With hunter biden walking out of that courthouse, having pleaded guilty to all nine counts of tax evasion and tax fraud. He held his wife's hand, melissa's hand as he walked out, said absolutely nothing but left it to his lead attorney abbe lowell to explain why hunter biden suddenly changed his plea to guilty on all counts. Listen here. Hunter decided to enter his plea to protect those he loves from unnecessary hurt and cruel humiliation. This plea prevents that kind of show trial that would have not provided all the facts or served any real point in justice. And it was lowell who earlier after everyone had arrived here at the courthouse dropped the bombshell in court that hunter biden did indeed want to change his plea to guilty. Stab the defense had conditions. In other words, biden would not admit to all of the accusations against him while still pleading guilty. The department of justice lawyers objected to that and the judge indicated he was more willing to consider an open plea. In which biden admitted guilt on all charges. So then the prosecution was allowed to read the entire 56page indictment, including all the lured details about strip clubs, expensive hotels, and expensive cars. And at the end of that, judge mark scarsy asked hunter biden on each charge how do you plead? and nine times hunter biden said guilty. He will now be sentenced on december 16th. We will then wait to see if president biden lives up to his word not to pardon his son nor commute any sentence. Laura: what is your read of all of this. First on the hunter front? judge jeanine: okay. On the hunter front, you had the department of justice and abbe lowell, hunter's lawyer who worked on a deal that was so preposterous and it would give him immunity in perpetuity that the judge, as you will recall months ago said this is absurd. There is no precedent for it and threw the whole thing out. So, now they are scheduled to go to trial. And got 120 prospective jurors sitting in the courtroom, ready to go. Everybody is teed up. And fired up. And all of a sudden, abbe lowell says we want to plead guilty. Would but we want an alford plea. An alford plea, of course, is a situation where the defendant says um, i'm going to maintain my innocence but i will accept the guilt and the punishment that goes with it. Now, normally, this is handled with the prosecutor ahead of time. And it is a very unusual kind of plea and i said earlier today, in 40,000 cases in my office a year, we did it once. And in this case, though, there was no discussion between the prosecution and the defense, and so the prosecutors are furious, the department of justice looks ridiculous because they are ready to go to trial. And hunter biden wants an alford plea. And so, they obviously were not talking, and the judge says we're going forward. So what happens? is he forces the reading of all of the counts of the indictment, 56 pages. Three felonies, six misdemeanors, and hunter pleads as jonathan said to all of these counts. Now, the sentencing is december 16th. But, tomorrow the judge will decide, based upon at least giving the prosecutor an opportunity to argue and say we don't want you to give him an alford plea. By the way, it's the prosecution's decision. Not the judge's. And so i suspect that there will not be an alford plea. He has nothing to lose, laura. He pled guilty to everything. He knows and he is going to get a pardon or at least a commutation. Laura: just to your point, these prosecutors have been living, breathing and eating this case for months and months. So, up all night. Their postit notes. Getting the opening, closing. And then this. I mean, you just don't do this. This just doesn't happen. Talk about ticking them off. I'm playing that polite vernacular. It doesn't happen. These lawyers are like gladiators now. They are ready for like the cages to open up and ready to go fight. The prosecution says what are you talking about? but, again, the department of justice is looking bad as it relates to hunter biden.
