's bliss is about defending a record, defending a record of what he is unleashed on the world and america over the class to work out -- course of the last 4 years. >> what's interesting is teen biden is anticipating a toned down version trump. >> may not see it and neil don't forget all eyes we'll be on right behind you because president trump has said his vp pick he is early chosen that person we'll be here tonight accompanying him. we artie not they were anticipating quite a few people on the shortlist so we will weight and see who shows up. neil. >> neil: ari aisha thank thank you for that peer if you have a busy night tonight. paul burnett joins us know. long all the lead back to 1976 at him no, he was that old. full disclosure here bob is also my attorney and has been for decades. all very good to have you. what do you expect tonight? >> i think that there are opportunities here for victory. opportunities here for defeat. i think there are a lot of myths swirling around this. i thank the taking drugs and all that stuff creating expectations lowering expectations will all be forgotten and we are going to watch 2 people on the stage talk about their respective records that spoke in prison and about the future because elections are about the future, not the past. the more either candidate can talk about what they plan i think will also see on trying to contrast and some moderators that will help to make some interesting choices because they are the third if you will entity on this stage. >> neil: eve advised candidates seasonal teen 76, "out of candidates period since trump and biden the loss go around. take a look. >> boat now. make sure you pack what people know senators. chemical and answer the question is to have while insert answer? >> the question is p. will you shut up man. >> that didn't go well. how do you avoid that? >> deal this room as me of what i call the myth of the muted microphones. there's been all kinds of talk at all because of talk about this magic leading of the microphones peer let me say as they prepared to post the toast put these 2 candidates and isolation boots -- booths like on the 64,000-dollar question i'm old enough to remember you on. it doesn't remember because the microphone that is live will pick up the voice of the candidate whose microphone is muted. more importantly, the candidate whose microphone is on is going to hear in his ear what the muted candidate says. the whole business of me and microphones is wonderful in concept. when you tell me their isolated booths i will say that we'll be a fight. >> we remember moments that stand out in debate vp candidate debate 1988. this is a bit more famous exchange. >> i as much expense in the congress as jack kennedy did when he sought the presidency. >> senator i serve a jack kennedy i knew jack kennedy. jack kennedy was a friend of mine. senator you are no jack kennedy. [ applause ] >> i was thinking of that, sometimes a great moment is you have election day moment does it. >> both correct. both candidates we'll have quotable quotes they hope we'll go viral and picked up by the millions who won't watch the debate but who will hear about the debate and their critical audience. you can believe both creek candidates we'll have lines ready if you will to deliver 1 appropriate to try to carry the viral audience. they'll be good and though be funny but as someone who was honoured to be involved in latest debates who cares a hole about american democracy our hope will cut through that and what will really do tonight we'll be to compare the 2 candidates and what they will do on immigration act on prices, on foreign policy. that's what really matters to you and her family. not zingers, not muted microphones, by content. i hope that the moderators will push towards a content debate. >> still a time singer can get you out out of the ditch. card number this with ronald reagan in 1984. >> i will not leak age and issue at this campaign and not going to exploit for applicable purposes of my opponents youth and inexperience. [ laughter ] >> the election might have been overrate there. what did you think we. >> at the end of the first debate in his closing even the wall street journal on the front page room nickel about whether there is an issue there. so he had to bring it back and with that 1 brilliant line by a brilliant actor he totally diffused the issue. and it was handled as best he could which was by laughing, smiling and moving on. those things can be real winners but they can also fall flat. >> neil: sometimes you wonder about little thanks people notice watching a debate. those visuals stick with you. bush and 43 dismissing. i think it was the same debate gore rolled his eyes. what you think of those type of moments bog and the impact to have on people visually taking it in? >> their most important meal in the so-called audience debates where you can move around and be more flexible. they don't have a whole lot of impact in the context of protean debates. actually in hillary clinton's first senate debate she was handed something to sign. we had rehearsed that and she was able with a perfect pivot to grab his arm and take it and respond to it and completely diffuse the attempt to use body management to influence the debate. with the people of preparing these 2 candidates i know all of the biden people who are so experienced i think we'll be ready for that kind of thing but i think it's more the oil delivered line supporting a podium debates in the body language which is more important and the audience debate. >> that we'll be an audience here, there we'll be the microphone cutting you said is a waste of time i agree without. these 2 don't like each other. that would be the first candidates who didn't get along but they have a particularly venomous fee of the other. i'm learning how that gets in. >> i think that 1 of the really interesting things to watch i am confident that president bennett will not take debate -- debate tonight a different state of some of my kind attitude we'll not prevail for 90 minutes and he will report to his normal way of dealing with public appearances. so i thank the demeanour thing which people we'll be watching for we'll be fascinating to watch and i'll tell you something else neil the moderators have a very interesting choice an important job tonight. they will be there as a sort of third entity on the stage and i'm sure they had made a question about fact checking. that's what follow-up questions are for soda moderators could be an important part of this if either or both of the candidates to evolve into telling things that just are demonstrably not true. are think moderators of a duty to fact check. >> quickly on president biden he can't afford a senior moment tonight right? >> i think he will be ready. i think we will cso and said on a cable channel mustn't a combination of scranton joe and state of the union joe. i think you will be ready and do well. i've had the honour and opportunity to talk with him a couple times last few months and i will tell you he is totally with a pair totally short. here member thanks i didn't think he even knew about and asked me about some stuff i had long ago forgotten -- >> neil: but he does benefit does he not -- sorry but does he benefit from social expectations? ib and that's it if he just survives and doesn't fall flat on his face it is built up that he is going to do poorly doesn't that help them create. >> yes". expectations are always helpful. you seen a whole lot of effort over the past 6 or 7 days to do that. 1 of the biggest ones has been this notion to almost drop is not preparing. and guarantee you'd almost trump is preparing. we haven't seen him in a few days all the emphasis has been on joe biden wears donald trump in preparing spewing interesting. ipo career on. thank you very much my friend could to see. i had no idea. bob burnett on that some of the thanks he was looking for let's see if it happens tonight at the debate it kicks off 9:00 pm eastern you can watch it right here on fox news channel you can tune in early for our coverage we'll be locked and then ready to go. getting -- starting 8:00 pm eas. had some group of individuals there. in the meantime to the markets are watching this. you might think it's premature or early but what if i told you may be an early summer rally that sorted picked up steam could even pick up more steam based on what happens in atlanta tonight. kyle explain and explore after this. lowe's knows when you need a new appliance, you want it at the right price. now you can save big on ge appliances like the ge range with easywash oven tray. with a removable tray that fits into the dishwasher. even a big mess is no sweat. shop lowe's now for great july 4th deals. with the price of just about everything inflating these days, you may wonder why mint is deflating the price of mint unlimited from $30 a month to just $15 a month. well, it's easy. we know a great price on a great product is better than one of those things. right? does big wireless really believe that these things actually work? how will we deal with our national debt and how will we get our debt down and numbly in a presidential election no 1 will tell you they will want to cut spending or reduce revenues. i thank the problem without, you know, where you get into trouble in a debate is speaking at -- to how will you did when markets come back and say that had nothing to do to. thanks of that nature. are think markets will look at this and say that wasn't bad nobody stepped on their toe and by the way we will get more attention and inflationary report tomorrow. no 1 falls flat on their face the markets will say we didn't get anything shocking we haven't learned a whole lot new 2 candidates we know who they will likely be and by the way ablation is more important to us right now. >> neil: both presidents have taken about for the markets this year. donald trump said not long ago in anticipation of the white house and joe biden saying his policies which shows jeff incorporate profits. the comparison comparisons over faber's dome of trump as far as the markets and how they performed under his watch. if we could go for market performance under donald trump in excess of 57% otherwise you have to take my word for it. monastic of 142 setback s&p 50069. i guess we don't have that i apologize check for joe biden and a little less doubtfully 7% 35% advance for nasdaq oddi for%. there we'll be a quiz on this afterward so folks, please pay attention. the bottom line the market segments a lot more for donald trump. that feels this argument that donald trump might raise your having a little bit of the game here but it's nothing like begin that i have. what to make of that comparison? >> ethic it's interesting when you look back at what's always being careless i believe for any parasitic to take credit for what's going on in the market has so much more to do with the overall economy that you either adopt or adjust to it. going back it's really been a better track to take to take no credit for the market whatsoever and hope you're policies which are by economic growth which drives earnings and therefore markets perform better. but when used take a step back and say looking at everyone's phones in the markets versus what their policies were it's not always into it. it i think it's part and parcel of what's going on here. i think 1 of the most important thanks for markets is what do we think of things like taxes and what do you think about things like immigration. all those things that make it matter in any manner in the economy. effing prospectively the more eddies you can get out there to say this is how we are going to fix the thanks you're most concerned about the more points you score. but my guess is this is just a pregame warm up to what we are really paying attention to it september where thanks are very much closer to the goal line and certainly at a place where if thanks are not can i give becomes more important event. >> neil: quickly on the federal reserve everyone seems to be waiting for the 1 and only interest rate cut everyone seems to be expecting. weather happens at all. wouldn't move the needle either way for either candidate? >> you know it's interesting that it's a great question. i will tell you that i think we started this year with expectations for a 6 rate cuts and the first 1 would come in march. it's worked his way down to 1 rate cut needed to end it doesn't come until september. the markets have done fairly well on the reason the feds have not continued -- cut the rates yet if the economy continues to grow is good for earnings. they forgotten rate cuts for earnings. i don't think september rate cuts will make a difference to either candidate and i think that's where the feds will feel comfortable to do that for the first time. >> neil: the market rates are about ready to go now so maybe it's doing some of the feds work. >> such a great point. >> neil: thank you. will sea how the debate goes. we've really got a guy who knows what it's like to debate donald trump knows what it's like to be state of two-stage person did fairly well in those debates but he knows what joe biden is in poor and he knows potentially as well or president chung could be invalid. there is a unique read on this after this. with the chase ink card, we got up and running in no time. earn unlimited 1.5% cash back on every purchase with the chase ink business unlimited card from chase for business. smile! you found it. the feeling of finding psoriasis can't filter out the real you. so go ahead, live unfiltered with the one and only sotyktu, a once-daily pill for moderate to severe plaque psoriasis, and the chance at clear or almost clear skin. it's like the feeling of finding you're so ready for your close-up. or finding you don't have to hide your skin just your background. once-daily sotyktu was proven better, getting more people clearer skin than the leading pill. don't take if you're allergic to sotyktu; serious reactions can occur. sotyktu can lower your ability to fight infections, including tb. serious infections, cancers including lymphoma, muscle problems, and changes in certain labs have occurred. tell your doctor if you have an infection, liver or kidney problems, high triglycerides, or had a vaccine or plan to. sotyktu is a tyk2 inhibitor. tyk2 is part of the jak family. it's not known if sotyktu has the same risks as jak inhibitors. find what plaque psoriasis has been hiding. there's o
