welcome to "sunday morning future," i'm maria bartiromo. thank you so much for joining us this morning. today, the leadup to the big showdown. president biden and president trump going head to head this thursday in the cnn presidential debate. we are previewing the first debate coming up. debate prep with trump organization executive vice president and president trump's son eric trump here, live, moments away. plus, mental fitness on full display. former white house physician to presidents obama and trump, texas congressman dr. ronny jackson on the mental capacity required for the commander in chief. then trump ripping through another democrat strongholding and commanding big crowds with a rally in philadelphia as a congressman byron donalds is betting trump could take 25% of the black vote. the florida congressman will join us. >> black issues are american issues. everybody wants a secure border. everyone wants lower taxes. everyone wants a better economy. everyone wants to be safer and feel safer. we're trying to basically siphon off 25% of the black vote. if we get 25% of the black vote, mathematically, mathematically democrats can't win. maria: plus, america's adversaries on the march. former vice chief of staff of the army and four-star general jack keane on the threats rising against america. then, was it all just for potential new would-be voters? texas attorney general ken paxton on the murder and crime at the hands of illegal migrants who came into the country through joe bidens' open border. are the newcomers now being told to vote for joe biden? it's all right here, right now on "sunday morning futures." ♪ ♪ maria: and we begin this sunday morning with a look ahead to the upcoming first presidential debate between president biden and former president trump, now just four days away. this thursday, hosted by cnn many in atlanta. the rules for the cnn presidential debate include candidates will not be allowed to interact with staff during the two commercial breaks. after a coin toss, trump will be featured on the left podium and biden on the right podium. microphones will be muted outside of the candidates' allotted speaking time. no props or prewritten notes will be allowed on stage, and president trump will have the last word during the closing statement. meanwhile, the biden campaign9 and the dnc revealed on thursday that they hauled in $85 million in fund raising in the month of may, falling way short of the trump campaign9 and the rnc haul which pulled in $141 million including nearly $53 million in a 24-hour period right after the guilty verdict in trump's new york trial. all of this coming as new polls from emerson college and the hill show trump leading biden in six key swing states, arizona, georgia, michigan, nevada, pennsylvania and wisconsin. a total of 77 electoral votes are at a stake. joining me now in this "sunday morning futures" education collusive is trump organization executive vice president and president trump's son, eric trump. everything, great to see you -- eric, great to see you again. thank you so much for being here. >> morning, maria. maria: so how is president trump preparing for this upcoming cnn presidential debate? >> well, obviously, he takes it very seriously, but he's going all over the place campaigning. he was in inner city philadelphia yesterday, an amazing thing, right? something republicans don't normally have the backboned to do. you saw him do that in the bronx, in queens, he's doing that all over the country. i'm really proud of him. and the crowds he's drawing and the diversity is incredible. at the same time, make no mistake, this is still cnn, right? this is jake tapper. jake tapper has compared my father to hitler. jake tapper's a guy who would yell at his control room saying turn this man off a when my father's giving press conferences. i can't tell you who these people are. you know who they are, you've seen them before. i saw them as as i walked into a courtroom every day where they're sitting there with grins on their face, i mean, just ear to ear smiles, right? so understand that he's not just going to be debating joe biden, he's going to be debating cnn. i was a guy who never missed a debate, i went to every single one of them. go back to cnn debates in the primaries in 2016, right? it was the same thing. it was attack after attack. they can't help themselves. and you better believe that biden's going to be getting a lot of, you know, a free pass and, you know, you better believe that they're going to hit my father. one other thing i need to mention, maria, it's pretty telling of president who has to go to camp david, in the middle of the woods, and lock himself effectively in a bunker for an 8-day period of time because his policies are so bad that he has to figure out some way to polish them up and try and frame them with all of his top advisers. and i can tell you my father's not doing that. my father's on the right side of these issues and 10 days or 8 days in the woods at camp david to try and explain yourself not american people, i'm not exactly sure if that's a big, you know, showing of confidence. maria: well, i mean, look, you raise a couple of important points. on the camp david situation, i mean, look, the world doesn't stop. we've still got our adversaries, they're coming at us, communist china, iran, you know, russia, i mean, you know? if so for him to take himself out of the is situation and sort of go and holed up in camp david, i mean, we pray nothing happens, that he's not, you know, in the white house. but the other thing on jake tapper, the other day i saw a clip of jake tapper. somebody put it on twitter, i think. and he said to one of his colleagues, you know, let's remember what happened in the 2020 debate. trump brought up biden's family taking money from china, and president biden said it wasn't true, but now we mow otherwise, it was true. actually, biden lied. jake tapper said that. i saw the clip. i mean, i don't think it was made up, i saw the clip. so if he knows that, do you think he would bring up this influence-peddling investigation that the house oversight committee is doing against joe biden? i don't know. or is it the cnn rules that that he won't be allowed to bring up that? because james comer is using words like money laundering and bribery and influence peddling. i don't know, do you think he would bring that up, or would that be against the cnn rules? >> you know, if he's inte lek can chilly honest, he would. but it would absolutely be against the cnn rules. look at the last debate with my father and caitlin collins, one nasty question after the next. he killed it. he did so well in that. i just don't think these people can help themselves. don't forget, maria, and this point often gets lost, remember in 2016 when donna brazile admitted that hillary clinton was given the debate questions ahead of time? like, these games are played behind the scenes. the only person they're not played with is donald trump because the mainstream media absolutely detests him. the good news is the american people love him. is and the good news back to, you know, it's bad news for our country, but believe me, the american people know his eye is not on the ball in terms of china, the middle east or any policy that matters to this country. and that's why he can talk eight days, my father would never have done that, his eye was actually on the ball. those things are out of sight, out of mind for this man. he doesn't know what's going on. look how bad russia a in ukraine's gotten. look how bad the middle east has gotten. look how bad our inflation is. i'm just predicting it right now, our economy is teetering out as we sit here and speak. we've got real problems, i mean, real problems around the world. we're losing our currency, we're losing our standing, we're losing everything. and, you know, the guy's going to be hunkered down in camp david trying to memorize lines to explain horrible policy decisions he's made over the last three and a half years. maria: meanwhile, look, you've got a sentencing coming up for your father, july 1 11th, just a few days before the republican national convention. what are you expecting from this sentencing? >> yeah. well, shocking. the next evening i take the stage at the rnc. go figure that. of all the a dates the judge could have put that, they have to put it before the biggest day outside of an election day in an election cycle? maria, this is planned. and, again, the american people see through all of this. the judge couldn't have picked a day two days later? he had to do it right before? again, it's why people realize that george georgia's a sham, the boxes case can is a sham, and merchan's a sham and the daughter, you know? raising the amount of money that she's been reportedly raising is also a sham and a conflict. you know, the more they, the more they do this, the more the american people see how persecuted, ostracized. and you mentioned in your opening about a african-american if support. you mentioned that certain communities are coming over to my father. it's exactly because of this. they're doing the same to donald trump as they did to so many of those communities for so long. these people are saying, huh, it's really interesting. they did this to us for a long time, now they're doing it to him. i might actually want to vote for the guy,s you know, who'll fight back against this as we have tried to for so long. and i think that's why my father's done so incredibly well, and i think's why some of these inner cities are embracing him to the extent that they are. maria: congressman andy biggs came out with a timeline of meetings that he said took place between the prosecutors that have indicted your father and white house counsel. and jesse watters had a clip on his show the other might pointing to november 18th saying that, first, joe biden comes out and says we have to make sure -- as soon as your father announced that he's running for re-election, a couple of weeks later joe biden come out and says, look, we have to make sure trump never returns to the white house. and then nine days later or a couple weeks later, on november 11th is what jesse said -- 18th, those prosecutors had meetings with white house counsel. do you have evidence that, in fact, there was a coordination with the white house to indict president trump? >> of course. michael coanglo, the number three in the doj, he went, he purchased from washington, d.c. to new york city to prosecute everything that is donald trump. can you imagine if the number three in donald trump's administration, in donald trump's doj went to delaware to prosecute everything relating to joe biden? there would be riots in the streets. the mainstream media would go crazy. of course there's coordination. and beyond coordination, maria, you have the white house logs where all of these people, you know, they're all going in and out, they're all trading notes. of course. this is a coordinated attempt by soros-backed prosecutors in conjunction with the white house. you think the fbi would raid the house of donald trump and mar-a-lago, one of the most famous homes in the world, without asking their boss first? of course they would. this whole thing's coordinated. the american people understand that. maria: wow with. okay. real quick, are you comfortable with the rules that cnn came out with for the presidential debate? are you comfortable with so far the playing field as your father enters on thursday? >> i'm comfortable with my if father. he's got the right message, he's got the love of america behind him, and he's going to do awesome. he always does. he's good to go. maria: eric, it's good to have you. we're all watching, and we so appreciate your time. thank you, sir. >> thanks so much, maria. maria: trump organization executive vice president eric trump. and be sure to tune into fox news' democracy 2024 special coverage of the cnn debate simulcast this thursday, june 27th at 8 p.m. eastern, right here. and now this -- >> as you know, it's been reporting that right now crooked joe's gone to a log cabin to study, prepare -- no, he didn't -- he's sleeping now. [laughter] because they want to get him good and strong so a little before debate time he gets a shot in the [bleep] and that's -- [laughter] they want to strengthen him up. maria: and tpresident trump on the campaign trail last night in philadelphia once again in another democrat stronghold. joining me now with more is florida congressman byron donalds who's a member of the black americans for trump coalition. congressman, thank you so much for being here. >> good to be with you. maria: tell me about trump's coalition and what you're pursuing here. we spoke with a colleague of yours this week, i did, on "morning, with maria" who said that he thinks you could get 25% of the black vote. is that what you believe? >> yeah, i agree with wesley. his viewpoint. look, i think right now if you were going to call votes today, president trump's support amongst black voters that are going to actually vote anywhere from 4 to -- 14 to 18. how you get to 25 is you go through the actual campaign, get out the vote effort, direct targeting of media to black voters explaining that president trump's agenda was better for them than joe biden's. and then going through how he's going to get america back on track. that's what black people are looking for today in the united states. 40 no more of the political dogma. it is the actions that come out of washington, it's it is the actions of the president of the united states that matters. joe biden has been a failure. i believe that 25% is very possible. maria: well, are republicans and the trump campaign making the case for themselves? if "the wall street journal" recently writes this: how black voters become swing voters. democrats have left a leadership vacuum, but republicans need to make the case for themselves. >> no, i agree, and that's the part i'm talking about. that work that the trump campaign is going to do, i believe, takes you from that 14-18% area up to the 25% area. look, during the campaign you have to go make your case. you have to make your -- take your message to voters. and it's indicative of what happened in philadelphia last night. president trump is doing that. the campaign is focused, and it's ready to go. maria: well, what if you were president trump's running mate. do you think the numbers would be higher if you were actually the vice presidential candidate? >> well, look, i don't want to predict that, maria. what i will tell you is that stepping into that role, you would have a direct contrast between me and vice president harris in terms of policy, in terms of what it means for the united states of america going forward. and how this would help struggling black families trying to make ends meet, how it would help middle class black families in america achieve higher levels of success. t not just black families, it's all families in our country. that's what the american people need. that kind of message, i think, resonates across demographic groups. and what it would demonstrate is that you have black voters who are shifting in their political thought, are shifting in their politics. i think this november is going to be the opening salvo of, if you will, of seeing that demonstration of movement of black voters, but a lot of voters in the united states. maria: yeah. i saw a couple of tweets from bo nichol as well as ores, four-time ncaa finalist, three-time national champ at a penn state wrestling right behind president trump. let's talk about the debate for a second here, congressman. what are you expecting when the two are up there on the debate stage on thursday? what should we be thinking about going into this important cnn presidential debate? >> well, i think what you're going to see is, obviously, the cnn moderators are going to try to do everything they can to go after a president trump to try to get under his skin. i think what president trump, what he's goinged to do is focus everything back to the terrible biden agenda. inflation, crime, illegal immigration, foreign policy. i think that's going to be the focus. that's where the american people want to sew this -- see this debate basically be executed between these two gentlemen. i don't know how joe biden's going to defend his record because he can't. what he's going to try to do, in my view, talk about january 6th, talk about what happened in lower manhattan. but if you get into the lower manhattan conviction, that's going to demonstrate the two-tiered system of justice that has so many americans frustrated with what's going on in joe biden's america. maria: well, look, we're going to show some of these videos later when i speakh dr. ronny jackson, but the white house seems to be claiming that anytime we see joe biden freeze up or forget somebody's name, that it's a fake video. it's a cheap fake is now -- this is the new buzz word, cheap fake. your reaction. >> no. i think that's all -- that's orwellian language coming from the white house. this is 1984 stuff. the truth of the matter is that joe biden is not the man he was 4 years ago or 8 years ago. everybody knows this. and so what they're trying to do is lie, dissemble and cover up for the fact that joe biden cannot go on the campaign trail like donald trump is doing right now. he has to be in camp david for seven, eight days to prepare himself to be in a 90-minute debate with donald trump? that does not bode well for a man who says he wants four more years. america, this is why we need to change leadership. donald trump is prepared. he has done this job before. he will do an excellent job for the united states of america once again. maria: what about the corruption? where does your investigation in the oversight committee stand in terms of investigating president biden? >> we're still continuing to do our work. we're still subpoenaing, doing subpoenas for additional financial information. listen, the biden family, they went through aches is and and pains to hide this from the american people, to consumer seal all -- conceal all these transactions, obviously, from congress but, frankly, from everybody. so it's taking us a lot of time, a lot of effort to dig up these financial records, but our investigations have not stopped. maria: congressman, it's good to see you this morning. thanks very much. >> thank you. maria: congressman byron donald donalds. quick break, if then texas congressman ronny jackson on president biden's capacity going into the upcoming debate after more public gaffes raising concerns about biden's health. now just 135 days away if election day. but first, fox news senior strategic analyst, retired four-star general jack keane is here on china ramping up aggression in the south china sea as its coast guard damages two of the philippines' navy boats. that's next. ♪ when you're in the military you're really close with your brothers and your sisters that are in the military with you. and when you get out of the military, you kind of lose that until you find a new family. we can talk about our struggles and the things that we did overseas and not everybody can do that. adam! how's it going, brother? "the new york post" is reporting that china has purchased farmland near9 19 highly sensitive military bases including fort libertity in north carolina and camp pendleton in san diego. chinese ownership of american farmland is larger than that of all of new york city with nearly 350,000 acres. joining me now is retired four-star general jack keane. general, always a pleasure. thank you for being here. give us your take on all of this farmland that communist china is buying in america and why. >> yeah. well, china is conducting one of the most comprehensive penetrations of american society in our history. certainly, the most extensive is their cyber espionage, stealing our secrets, stealing our intellectual property but also putting malware in a lot of our critical infrastructure so if war breaks out in the indo-pacific region, china fully intends to defeat us in the homeland. and buying the farmland close to military bases is part of that strategy. after all a, if you own those, that land close to the bases, you can mono-- monitor and surveil what is taking place there, use drones and listening devices to do that. and many of these bases are strategic platforms. i commanded one of them, fort bragg, which is now fort liberty. we deployed some of the most elite forces the united states has in its arsenal from that strategic platform. they would monitor the goingings and comes there. it's all part of this comprehensive program that the chinese have. some of it is actually kind of crude and primitive like having people try to penetrate military bases and poagz as hotel guests -- posing as hotel guests or taking pictures of what's going on around military bases. seems kind of a crude method to gain information. they're testing our defenses and our security measures. it goes from the crude is and trivial with like that to something as sophisticated as a putting malware in the financial system, in our transportation system, in our electric grid so when war breaks out, they can break down america at home. the fbi, i think, is overloaded with what china is doing to us comprehensively, and i wish they would stand up and admit as much so we can put more resources on this problem. maria: yeah. i mean, it seems like christopher wray regularly now raises this and says, yes, communist china is our number one threat, our number one adversary, but we don't seem to have changed our stance. i mean, all of this farmland, couldn't they also, you know, de-- affect our military bases if, in fact, there's a war? if they're so close to those military bases, could they actually destabilize those military bases in the event of a war? and then there's those 50,000 chinese nationals that have come across the border over the last year. what, why are they here? you can't just pick up and leave china, right? is this xi jinping's plan, to have boots on the ground in america should things turn more hostile? >> on the bases themselves, 33 states have taken legislative action within their states to stop this land grab from taking place by china, and chairman mole far of the china select committee and other members of the committee are proposing federal leg to stop this from happening. -- legislation to stop this from happening. and that which already has happened is a security issue, to take it back. because it is a national security issue. so i think that we're moving in the right direction. i think we've got caught surprised by it, but now we're tuned into it and taking appropriate action. the good news here overall a, maria, is the american people and the congress are very much aware that china is the united states' number one threat. maria: yeah. >> and, clearly, there's true consensus on that issue. maria: but they don't say that, right? every time you hear president biden talk about china, he calls china a competitor. he has not called china an adversary. >> well, china is definitely an adversary, no doubt about it. maria: no. >> even if it was just a competitor, we should be doing everything to win the competition. and and we try to avoid confrontation. we try to -- we push appeasementif diplomacy and try to keep things tampered down when, obviously, china is a bully in the indo-pacific region and is raising the temperature quite significantly. maria: yeah. general, real quick before you go, bibi netanyahu will address congress on july 24th. we are waiting for this. obviously, the democrats are very upset with netanyahu. aoc called him a war criminal. what are your thoughts in terms of this administration holding back weapons to israel during the fight of its very survival? >> yeah. well, this is one of the most disappointing foreign policy things i've observed in my lifetime. israel is our number one ally in the middle east. you can make the case it's one of the strongest allies we have period. we were very much in favor of the formation of the state of israel in 1948 by the united nations, and we have stood side by side with them through democratic and republicanned administrations -- republican administrations particularly in time of war if they needed our assistance. they never needed us to fight for them, but we certainly gave them assistance. is and they are in an existential threat right now that they have not seen since the state was formed in 1948. and we have to remind ourselves of that every time we're talking about riles. maria: yeah -- about israel. >> this is their motivation. they're fighting for the very survival of their people, and hamas and the iranians have all come together to do quite the opposite. hay want to make -- they want to make the security situation so volatile in israel that people don't want to live there. the small number of people, view people that live there, 7 million or so, will choose to raise their children and their grandchildren someplace else. maria: wow. >> that is what this is about. it is about their survival. and for us to hold weapons back from israel to pacify people politically is absolutely outrageous. we're risking the security of this nation in doing that. maria: yeah. >> and we should not be telling israel how to fight its wars. and we have policymakers who don't know much about how to fight wars, to be frank about it, and we know them by name who are doing this with the netanyahu administration. that is -- it makes no sense whatsoever -- maria: yeah. >> and whose hand are they strengthening here? they're not strengthening netanyahu's hand, they're strengthening hamas' hands, the iranians' hands. hamas' leadership believes they're winning. iran believes they're winning. iran is talking about the next time we do this, it's not going to be sequential, hamas is going to attack, we're going to do this sin co. >> niced and coordinated with all of the proxies attacking at the same time. that's the lesson they're getting out of this, that israel is vulnerable. maria: yes, okay. >> and the president should be standing steady against all of that not just rhetorically, but certainly providing the weapons that are needed. maria: general, thank you so much for your incredible insights. retired four-star general jack keane. we'll be right back. ♪ if. ♪ ♪ ♪ citi's industry leading global payments solutions help their clients move money around the world seamlessly in over 180 countries... and help a partner like the world food programme as they provide more than food to people in need. together, citi and the world food programme empower families across the globe. ♪ did you know? they have to make incredible decisions, they have to multitask every day. we don't want somebody who has to be medicated to perform to potentially get the job done. i think it's important that that they prove to us that he's not doing performance-enhancing drugs of any type. maria: i mean, that state of the union sparked so much conversation, i spoke with c. greg murphy -- dr. greg murphy, and he said joe biden was definitely, quote-unquote, jacked up, jacked up during the state of the union. >> yeah. maria: what do you think president biden's issues are? what drugs i would they give him? >> well, you know, there's drugs out there, all kinds of new drugs hard out there that are specifically for alzheimer's or parkinson's, things that cause these cognitive issues that the president seems to be subject to. they treat the cognition part of it, they try to make it where he can think straighter and he's not lost and confused as much. and then there's drugs that actually just increase alertness like adderall and a host of drugs that try to take the agitated edge off most of these cognitive disorders. i feel like they're probably giving him a little bit of all of this, they just have to get it just right. they have different times of onset, different duration. they interact with each other, so it's a challenge, but i think they have no choice with what they're working with. they don't have much to work with. maria: i mean, is that dangerous, to be drugging president biden going into the debate? i mean, this all sounds incredibly dangerous. he's the commander in chief. >> well, yeah, it's dangerous not just for him, i would say, but it's dangerous for our country. need a commander in chief, we need a head of state that can function on a day-to-day basis without being medicated. and that's why this drug test is important. if he gets up there and he's all like dr. murphy said, all a jacked up, then the american people are going to realize something's going on. that is not the joe biden we see on a day-to-day basis. we see someone who struggles to stay awake, he looks sleepy, he slurs his speech, he's having these freezing episodes now, he shuffles when he walks. the american people need to know what's gown on, and our adversaries and allies see this. it's a national security issue for us, it really is. maria: wow. it certainly sounds that way. congressman, we so appreciate you, dr. ronny jackson. >> thank you, maria. maria: thank you, sir. all right, we will catch up soon. quick break and then houston police say a 12-year-old girl was murdered by two venezuelan nationals after crossing illegally into america just last month. the latest in a string of murders and crimes at the hands of illegal migrants who crossed the border during biden's wide open border policy of the last four years. texas attorney general ken paxton on the deadly impact biden's border policy is having on americans. back in a minute. ♪ ♪ okay everyone, our mission is to provide complete, balanced nutrition for strength and energy. yay - woo hoo! ensure, with 27 vitamins and minerals, nutrients for immune health. and ensure complete with 30 grams of protein.
