you got to be kidding me. during ve k trial overseen by aden dona partisan biden, don'tvicted judge convicted after just a few hours of deliberationsaftu by a jury of misty dnc fans a selected from a district that voted up to, what, 90% for joe biden. orthis is a headline fromlibera the very liberal new york magazinagazine quote,pu prosecutors got trump, but theyt contorteorted the law. that article written by fake news. cnn senior legal analysts, even a blind squirrel gets it. not right. and he wrote, quote, the charges agains quote chat trump obscure and nearly entirely unprecedented. then he said no state prosecutor in new york or wyoming or anywhere has ever charged federal election laws as a direct or predicate state crime against anyone fors as anything. none ever. cratic democratic prosecutors in the state of new york city p of newo york, including a former top official, the third top official of biden's own doj, alongiden's with this radil democratic judge, twisted the law into a pretzel in ordern to convict the leading republican presidentia tl a candidate in the middle of an election. so you're not going to hear any complaints from joe biden or any other democrat ojoderr alli their their allies in the mediam mob telemarkob ricans. no one is above the law. well, of course, they're not goin g to. there are a notable few exceptions, including what bidene notabl? himse himself. really? okay. now, a special counsel recently declined to charge president biden with mishandling classified documentined targes. his four locations never got raided. his home never got raidetiond, e despite ample evidence of criminal misconduct over multipleample iminal. well, they concluded, well, he's probably a nicecluded w ole is going to come off nice to a jury and he's just going to seeand m forgetful.forg so we're not going to prosecute him. why didn't they rateetll not hie why didn't they raid hillary clinton's house? the exact same allegatio hillar, you know, donald trump is currently awaiting a criminal triaentll for the mishandling of classified documents over a few months ified. he hillary clinton also is above the law, likoee joe in 2016. james comey, the july 2016 press conference. you know, what did she do?e mish she mishandled top secret classified documents on, her servers, and lists a private server she never should have haillicit d infamouy coldly saying no reasonable prosecutor whatever prosecute. you know, hillary clinton during an election according to call me acco right. but that's not all. after hillary clinton and the dnn anc caught mislabeling payms for that dirty, decent formation, russian dossier is a legal expense. remember, it was funnelee.d through a law firm that hired an opp research firm that hired christophed anr steele, that led to a dirty russian disinformation dossiermation d that resulted in not one but four separate files of warrant, issued, three signed by james comey himselsignedf. minal no criminal charges everchgh brought. both clinton, the dnt. c say they were allowed to settle that matter quietly with a simple finbue for the fecd that said in this case, had they been allowed to testifys c crime was committed. no violation was committed. and keep in mind, trump was convicted of 34 felonies for allegedly mislabeling a paymentt to a lawyer as a legal. but we can right this ship. you have the power. verdict the ultimate verdict lies with you. donald trump can finish what started in 2016. that's when trump destroyed hillary clintoat's when at the box. now, today, she's still deeply unhappy and bittershe'l deep. instead of serving as the president of this country, hillary noew is selling mugs on instagram. and 2016, the u.s. justice system never held her accountable. the american people did. u ha >> and this year, you have anopt opportunity to render the final verdict at the ballot box. that's the only verdict that will ultimately matter. will, with the reaction president trump's attorney in this case, he argued the case todd blanche is withrgueod us. i yourever see a case like this in your life? i mean. of course not. and neither is anybody else. i don't stand alone there. i practiced law in new york for and ears and nobody nobody has ever seen a case like this before. >> and hopefully nobody ever will again ever . yeah, well, hopefully they'll never again. let's talk >> hopef a little bit about about what your expectations werwhat ye. . yeah, i've you know, i've gone through the list. you have a biden donor judge. you have b judge a family confl. you have a day that ran on a mat trump campaign. mar-a-lago still, i guess, valued at $18 million. a call according to judge. ergo one, it's closer to a billion. but more importantly, this novemore impl theory. then, of course, the broadhe latitude given to the defense in closing arguments to make anyaccuras that are factuall inaccurate to the jury over and over again, you woulteved you would object. that would be overruled. and thenould the judge himself, then a novel legal concept goess against not one but two separate supreme court decisions. and that's a short1 bu2 sepa. it todd blanche. i want you to respond to all a >> wllt. look, we we knew this wass a problem the day that the indictment was handeled. t so it wasn't april 15th that wed realized that we had we're up ta against a battle that would be virtually impossible to win. that happeneuld a year ago.e and we've been fighting this case for over a yearover a y wie judge, with the district attorney, trying to understand anttorney what there, underlying crimes were. and we got no answer. we really got nower. answer untl the trial started. think about that. and it turns that the crime that was charged, the original crimes, a misdemeanoe orr, bumpf up to a felony if it's supposed to cover up another crime. the otheto cover crime that wasd being covered up was another misdemeanor, anotherr misd misdemeanor, a state law election violation that required unlawful means. and that's where they decided to use a federal election law, tax lal w and other false records filing completely for sure, confusing the jury, confusing everybody. so this this was a for the past year and a half with with this t system and thihis judge. and we know going in that we were going to have a really tough road. and we did have a reallyugh roah road. and the person that comes up ist on top, though, in my mindah a doubt is president trump. and you saw that last night. you saw that todayyou sat nigh e in his press conference where he told the american people exactly what he t happened and exactly what he was going to do today and tomorrow. doand we're going to fight. i look, this case is ripe for appeal. i did not to have to appealo ape this case. i wanted to win it at trial. and weali want didn't.e we but this case, we're going to appeal it. and i fully expect to i fully expect that we'll be fully exonerated on appeal. talk about the appeal and let'sn talk about next steps. obviousl y, we can you get an expedited appeal considering the circumstances under which the severity of violations, ioln constitutional violations. what do you expect the nextt an step? we hope to get an x what of anae expedited appeal? i mean, look, the nextal. stepgn is the sentencing on june 11, july 11th. and our goaljune 11th i. 11t is, and that's to keep the the leading candidate fortate president of the united states out of prison. and that's what we're goinrisong to try to do. and he shouldn't go to prison. putting aside the fact the law suggestso putting fact that somebody likem should never go to prison for this crime. he waso to priso the president e united states and he he under no circumstances a should spend a day in prison. and that's what we're going to be asking the judge to doegoo is not sentence him to prison. but no matter the sentence, whatever it is, we're going to immediately appeal. and you're right, sean, we have all kinds of stuff to appeal. immediatkind of stufthis was a e the district attorney said yesterday. and he thisdist said it a year ago. this is the bread and butter. this is what they always do. ththat is not true. that is just not a true statement. there is not a single case that anybody has showed me in oa year that is anything like the case that this district attorney brought. that'sthing you're talkingat too about communications that took place in the year of our lord 2015 2016 records from 2017 on president trump's personal accounts while he was the whiteh house running this country as a leader of the freeiss world. that's not a normal case. that's not bread and butte.r. >> let me ask you this. you talked about july 11th,. by the way, ironically, four days before the republicabo convention, somebody classy, feloniesni somebody with no prir history of any convictionformer of any kind, former president in the middle of a campaignn th, you would think that a judge would release him on his own recognizance. he's certainlyn hi not a flightot s risk. >> he's got secret service around himecree ar and a pendinl . nothing about this judge would surprise me. is he going to givouldel he'd confinement? will he dare put donald trump in jai airport in jaill? s do you have any thoughts about where this is headed? i look, i hope and i'm going to spend the next every dayy until july 11th working to make sure that there is no jail1th o jail sentence. i don't know what judge merchan will do. i think he knows that he's been' a judge for a long time. he knows the law. and i hope that he sentences i appropriately. but no matter the sentence, we hope that it's stayed for surepe pendinnding g appeal. because. because it's not even all judge merchan. notright.d it's a district attorney that brought this case. and there's a lot of things los thatd. >> lasalea well, last question. when you go to the appellate court, the supreme courtt g thh both, look, we're not going to stop fighting. >> i mean, i don't you know, owd everybody's talking on your show and on other shows about going right to the supreme courws gt. we're going to do whatever we can if that means we're going to the the first departmentof and the new york court of appeals in the supreme court. that's what we're going to do if gh. we can go right to the supremedw court. that's what we're going to do. we're going to do whatever what there's no option that we're slamming the door on. thison is this has been yea a travesty of justice for over a year, a year and ad a. sean, you've said this before, but it's worth just before before weforit'se go.invest this investigation was opened. this grand jury was starteigwado less than two months after president trump announced he was runningesident for reelr right after he announced he's running for reelectio n. alvin bragg's prosecutors called the southern new york, moery, can we have the most incriminating evidence that you have from your casstthate? and then they indicted shortly thereafter. that's a fac shortly t. and you didn't even know the charge up until. i don't evencharge know if if yo this day know what the real charge is. will there be clear constitutional violation? all right, todd blanche. thank you. clear co we'll be watching closely. here with reaction, george washington university law professo close r and fox news contributor jonathan turley. cont, a lot of what i brought up with todd are things that we have gone whtong detail, great detail on. what was your reaction to what he said. >> well, obviously, they're already hard at. exp they have to explore other options. i'm a little skeptical about trying to leapfrog to the supreme court. the supreme cour tt turned down an effort by its special counsel, smith expedite his cases. i doubt they're going to want to do that for, former president trump. >> so they're likely to have to gheo through the state systet but this is a targets rich environment, for appeal. you know, i know that there's been great celebration a manhattan. this is something of a thrill kill conviction. i but that may not last long under review if the thet new york courts don't reverse this, i expect the federal system will. there are layers of reversible here. by judge merchan, professor, k i know you work hard all week. thank you for sharing all your time with us. we appreciate it. for sharin we appwe go now to the author oe book get to trump, harvard law professor alan dershowitz. profs fox news legal analystso greg jarrett is withders us.it greg, let me let me start withtt you and let me start with the questione of. what is next? what should be next? if you're advisingif y the trumw legal team, what would you advise and what would the next steps be as we head into this july 11 sentencing? well, i think you have look to an appeal and higher court judges in new york, sean, or just like merchan. >> i mean, there are many me this is a liberal, politically driven club. >> they protect their own. >> so i'm not optimistic that the former president'sprotc chances to overturn the conviction, which means i'm that trump's only real relif is in the federal court. >> but that's the proper venue anyway, because as jonathan pointed out, most of thed egregious violations by thoue judge, these were constitutional due process judg. >> for example, refusing to tell the defendant what this conspiratorefusingr c crime wase >> we still don't know. that's a clear violation of thee sixth amendment. >> and then, of course, tellinse the jury, they can forget all about a unanimitjury ty thaa bedrock constitutional right derived from sixth and seventh amendment judge merchan madenth emin a moy of that, as well as justicemultt with a multitude of reversible errors that are quite shocking. >> quite i think, to everyone. >> and it's not it is the federal courts, not state courts, that they're the oneso e who tend to scrupulously guard our due proces s. be >> so, you know, there may be ak dual track here. he you've got to go throughem the state system. ma and,h 'll get lucky. you know, some judges with a conscience who are schooled, l the law will look at this and say this is fundamentally wron and thig, reverse.i but i think in the end,th it's going to be the federal, yb maybe even the supreme court ths incrediblehi injustice. yeah. let's get your take, professor. and what what would the next steps be for you if you wereg talking to president trump's attorney? >> i would do something quite radical. o something foroccutely the sentencing to occur next week, not july 11th, so that you can get the appeal going. you can'so yout appeal until ths a sentence. if the court to expedite the sentencing. i would try to take the case now immediatel wouldy to the new york court of appeal, skipping the intermediate court of appealsrk which is a political court, manhattan basea pod democrats, largely. i would try to go right totr coe court appeals and ask them for a decision within 30 days in order get to the supreme court before the election. there's no reason have the sentencing delayed until july 11th. the judge knows what he's going to do. >> professor, why would you have any confidencete that judge merchan would expedite the sentencing? because i have you know, to me, i think the obvious thing to do, if it was him, would be to say, all right, you were releasedo if on your ownr ow recognizance pending appeal. i don't have faith he'll do. that. >> no, that's not the point. the point is to impose t. the sentenceimpose now so that e can be an appeal if the judge refuses, as he wouldof the refue to take the case to the court cu of appeals and say honors, we t want the sentencing to be done now. so we can appeal. if the judge refuses to allow the sentencing to, impose u your honors, let us appeal. now, we're not going to appeals. the sentencing now. we're going to appeal the conviction. wilhe conviso i would do everyg to expedite this. >> timing is everything. >> very dangerous times forr our constitutional republic. c. very dangerous. thank you both. greg, thank you both . fun being on fox nation with you yesterday. and professor, thank you. when we come back, lara trump is here. she'll react to the biden campaign reportedlycampai celebrating trump's guilty verdict. and judggny celebratine jeanineo all coming up straight ahead. >> oh, carney assault. it's carney. i saw that. that's what i said. ,sara. >> carney. carney. got to see carney. >> a harness. carney, i did. and you schools? >> all that golden cow, golden corral. well, for years i've been sh
