i am laura ingraham, this is "the ingraham angle" from new york city tonight. lies and vengeance, that's the angle. looking at that decorations, the lighted trees, and the decked out window displays, the retailers are trying their best to entice you to spend some money. but there is one salesman who is always coming up short. because he is trying to sell what no one's buying. speak with the investments we are making have spurred by the inflation reduction act which i wrote and we passed is going to community is historically left behind. when i took off, i decided i would be president for all americans whether you live in a blue state or red state or rural or urban areas, and we are delivering on that promise. >> laura: okay, i hate to break it to him, but the entire country is feeling like a community left behind, joe, and as for biden and claiming to be the president for all americans. >> donald trump >> donald trump end a republicans threatened the very foundations of our rep republic. donald trump and his maga republicans are determined to spread hate and division. this maga threat is a threat to the brick-and-mortar institutions. we see maga republicans try to undo every progress we have made. >> laura: they thought demonizing trump as hitler was going to work. they thought that indicting him four times was going to work on throwing his supporters in jail, some of them in solitary confinement for months that that will work. and they thought being upbeat about the economy, just lying about the economy, they thought that that was going to work. but none of it has worked. none of it has helped biden. salaries aren't keeping up with cost of groceries, gas, insurance, your cell phone bill, migrants are everywhere. sleeping everywhere, fenton all overdoses are soaring, no wonder joe biden has gotten weaker, and of course trump has gotten stronger. he has been leading or tying with biden since early september, in the average he is up almost two points. now the legal hurdles trump faces, it's amazing, the more resilient his poll numbers seem to be. today the d.c. circuit ruled that trump is not protected by presidential immunity against plaintiffs who claim damages from the january 6th riot. now all of these suits are absurd, they should be dismissed, any lawyer who files them should be sanctions, but it's all part of the law fair being waged to take down trump, but i only bring this up because of voters are tuning it out, most know that this is a process that's unfair and most know that things were better with the economy and foreign policy and at the border when trump was president. so naturally, they are in a complete panic at the white house. and when you add the disturbing pro hamas anti-semite issue everywhere in young people, particularly a lot of young voters who say that they don't like the way that joe biden is handling this in handling the relationship with israel. >> for many of them, they will be voting for the first time in their lives, they are going to have to have a connection to somebody who is 60 years older than them and you know, gaza is certainly not helping. >> laura: but remember biden faced tight races in the states with large arab populations in 2020. in michigan, georgia, and for some historical perspective, 1,046 days into biden's presidency, his approval rating, 38 percent is the lowest of any president running for reelection since... jimmy carter. now, this is not surprising when we see where biden is with his once most reliable constituency, african americans. his approval numbers now amongst black voters has dropped 23%, from 80 percent to 60%. meanwhile, trump racking up endorsements including a big one today from the ohio republican party. so what will the sex do next to turn this around? it seems like they have tried everything, but i am telling you, when they panic and they are panicking, look out. because that's when things get dangerous. that's when civil liberties are trampled, they turned a deep state against him in 2016, then in 2020 they have their billionaire buddy mark zuckerburg to pour almost $400 million and to select democrat areas to push turnout. they work with social media company is to censor information that voters could access, they persecuted the january 6th defendants, and they let the blm rioters skate for the most part. i now? special counsel jack smith is making a database of speed nine's followers on x. i'm in the database. now all americans believe in the bill of rights should remain vigilant. the more biden seems cornered, the worst things may be getting for all of us. but don't be frightened, be courageous. and that's the angle. joining me now, matt towery postal and cohost of pulling plus, now according to gallup, the approval among independents dropped eight points in a month. i never heard of dropping that munch in one month to a record low of 27%. what's going on? >> well, he is in a tailspin, and you pegged it for the reasons that you talked about, i am sure that they are in a panic, and the problem that you have coming up seen this before, laura, when you get to this point it seems like everything and administration tries to do when they're in a tailspin backfires on them. and they have had the situation in israel, which obviously has affected some of their core young supporters who now are finding out mostly support the palestinians, apparently hamas, that shocked me. then a problem with african americans as well as hispanics, this is becoming now almost a submitting of hispanic voters continuing to draft a republican side. and if you look at that debate last night, where newsom look to alert, how can they see that and be happy about it in the white house? >> laura: that was not good, we will get to that in a moment, but point out to everyone watching tonight, it's friday night, but donald trump has never led in as many polls as he does right now in the entire 2020 cycle. so people can say oh, it's early, there's 11 months to go, a lot can happen, that's true, but this is now a pattern. you can't say it's an outlier, this is the reality that we are dealing with now in these polls, and as a pollster and all of the work you have done in republican politics, is this something that a campaign apparatus that biden pays an enormous amount of money for it, they can turn around with one initiative or speech? >> no, i don't think so, let's look to the gimmicks of the past, they think it's messaging, they don't think they have a problem with the policy is, they think it's all messaging. and go back to jerry ford with the whip inflation now, remember the little button, how did that work out? it did not work out. the gimmicks don't work, and now they are down to a year, less than a year and they can't lock it gimmicks anymore, that's a real problem for them. i don't know what they did, but i will say that they are being helped. a lot of our viewers don't know this, but a lot of the states that are going to be major caucus or primary states, there is republican anti-trump money running ads every day, just eviscerating him. but it's not affecting his numbers. they are getting -- yes, they are getting help from the other side. and i think that's partially what the campaign is going to rely on when they get into that. >> laura: big business, their buddies are globalist, as always, thank you. as he was saying, gavin newsom, fan boys & girls club, they are kind of upset. he watched online, they spent most of the day complaining about how the big debate went down, with ron desantis, that's a sure sign that they know ron desantis was the winner. >> california governor gavin newsom evading ron desantis last night and what could be described as a gate unusual bizarre spectacle. >> saying it's the last gas of ron desantis, we will see. >> laura: we will see, well, look, i give him credit for agreeing to the debate. it was fun to watch, but he did not do himself any favors with whiny moments like this. >> joe biden is in the pocket of the teachers union, and so is kamala harris, that's why -- >> don't pull kamala harris, it's come -- kamala harris. >> laura: does gavin newsom not realize that he can miss pronounce the name bob. if only he was that upset about the collapse of the state, but he tried to pretend that he is not enjoying the collapse of the biden campaign. >> $14 billion immigration package up in tech act, thank you joe biden. >> and i am proud of the work that biden and harris have done, that's why it will be working so hard to get joe biden and kamala harris reelected in 2024. >> laura: that's not a spray tan, who was staying it's a spray tan? that's so rude. join amy monica crowley and sean duffy, cohost of the line upon fox business, just wrapped up, snuck into the studio during the segment so quiet, what's your take away from what happen last night? >> this is the debate that americans really want to see, the red state-blue state and very different philosophies. and the results in the state. and the left has had control for decades, but gavin newsom is putting the nail in the coffin, they have taken a successful state and destroyed it, where is governor desantis over a freedom state where you have economic opportunity takes control over illegal immigration, and the nonsense in educational policy, ron desantis absolutely wiped the floor with governor desantis, he can totally come with facts and figures like florida, and did a superb job, but what makes him so dangerous is that even though he showed up with nothing to speak of in terms of california, the state is a disaster. he is very smart and clever about turning things around and pivoting to his advantage. so i think that we underestimate him. >> laura: now sean, president trump put out some amusing slightly rude, but amusing videos to kind of mock the debate. that's what he does. he's going to tease you. but that having been said, i think that's ron desantis it seemed a little bit more relaxed in this form. was that just me? or do you think he is safe? he seemed more relaxed. >> he is on a stage with other republicans, and confused of his personality driven, but he is fighting the media and that's why they went with him, and i agree with monica. >> laura: can you just disagree with her for the segment? >> the facts at it, the debate class in college or high school, who once gavin newsom's facts set? he came in and i thought it incredibly well. >> laura: he is talented. >> here's what he missed, so ron desantis, gavin newsom came in and said, listen, it's your fault, you sent migrants to martha's vineyard, which by the way it's a sanctuary. anyone support the $14 billion that joe biden wants for the border. ron desantis should have stepped back and said this is one of the biggest issues we face in that country? 10 million illegals come into the country and there is 2 million got a ways that we have no idea who they are and that's the answer one of the elite to democrats has for fixing immigration is $14 billion to process more illegals to come into the country? you have to call out the stupidity. and i think that he missed out on debate. >> laura: he did have a good moment when he noted that he was talking to a fellow and the fellow that was having to move to florida of course was gavin newsom's father-in-law, which apparently that was very offensive. they did not quite like that that was put there. is that not fair game? your own family is moving to florida. >> which sort of proves the point that he was making throughout the entire day which is the outmigration from these blue states to read states is happening for a reason. people want freedom, they won economic opportunity. they are economically rational, all of the things that red states deliver in terms of hard numbers, economically. in terms of education, in terms of illegal immigration, people want to feel safe. they want to have some economic prosperity. you cannot get them in the blue states. so that line about, look, your family is moving into my state -- >> laura: but the things that i think my kids when they were watching, the poop map. i can't believe that i am saying that on the show, but it was hysterical and so sad, he was mayor of san francisco, on the board of supervisors when he was more reasonable in the old days, but now it's cleaning up, but let it rot for everybody else. >> and you watch gavin newsom do it at that point, and he almost did it uncomfortably laughing, but it's a serious issue where you have a map and san francisco that shows how far the city in the state has gone. can i make one last point, laura? ron desantis did not call gavin newsom for actually sending his kids to private schools as he shut down his own schools, i thought he could have done a better job of calling out the hypocrisy of a governor living like an elite and making everyone else live under these horrible cares. >> laura: when i think he lost the whole country was when they were chasing people off the beach during covid. the whole covid thing from the beginning drove me mad, but when they did that, when they were sending people to chase people off the beach, that's what california has become. it used to be surfing usa, now it's harass people on the beach. >> the governor was dining at the florence laundry, and nancy pelosi was in a salon. >> getting kayakers out in the middle of the ocean, resting them and bringing them in. >> laura: california, save yourselves, it's time, so great to have you on at the same time. liz cheney, desperately attempting to be relevant, tulsi gabbard reacts next. this is franklin graham. i had a veteran one time tell me, "is there such a thing as a bucket of hope?
