everybody, it is monday, november 27th, 2023. we begin this hour of "fox & friends" with a fox news alert. it is 6:00 a.m. here in new york city. it's 1:00 in the afternoon in israel. and we are now in the fourth and final day of the temporary four-day cease-fire deal between israel and hamas. >> lawrence: we're learning that both have concerns over the list of israeli hostages and palestinian prisoners due to be released today, ainsley. >> ainsley: this after 14 more israeli hostages were freed yesterday, bringing the total number now to 40 over the last three days. >> brian: how many more, trey yingst is live at the children's medical center in israel. what's behind you? what's inside that building? >> yeah, hey, guys, good morning. overnight for the third straight evening. a group of hostages was released from gaza. 9 of them children that were flown here by helicopter to the schneider's children's hospital just outlines of tel aviv. additionally two mothers flown here as well. we spoke with the grandmother who had three of her grandchildren released last night from gaza. she said the kids were just being kids. they were laughing and playing. they wanted to eat pizza. we know among that group 4-year-old american israeli citizen. both of her parents were tragically killed. she did become a sin bowl of survival and hope, a reminder, also, of t brutality. yesterday spoke to pentagon he had this to say. >> the little girl abigail, what a joy to see her with us. but, on the other hand. what a pain that she returns to the reality of no parents. she has no parents, but she has a whole nation that embraces her. >> there are so many families struggling today with the aftermath of what took place on october 7th, but loved ones meeting their family members at this hospitals just trying to hold on to hope as the war continues. there are questions today in the last day of the cease-fire about if it will be extended. regional sources telling fox news they do believe they will be able to get some sort of agreement between israel and hamas to get additional hostages out for more pauses in fighting. guys? >> brian: i thought it was hard core give us 10 for each day. give us 10 and a day extension. is there some gray area? >> trey: it appears that will be exactly it. it has to go with the initial agreement brokered by the qataris. laid out 10 hostages for each additional day. we should talk about the caveat and challenge for hamas. hamas does not know where all of the hostages are because there were other organizations inside gaza that brutally kidnapped people on october 7th, including islamic jihad. some of these smaller fangszs and also criminal families in gaza. so hostages are spread throughout the strip. it will be incredibly difficult for hamas to identify and locate all of them. and so we may be looking at a few days here of an additional extension to this cease-fire. after that, the israelis say they are pushing forward with their operation inside gaza to destroy hamas leadership. >> steve: that's right. trey, of course, we want all the hostages back. apparently israel has got a problem with the list of hostages but hamas has a problem, according to reuters with the list as well. so, what's the problem? who gets to write the list of which bad guys we let out? >> yeah, there are a lot of technical details here. we should talk about the exchange, what's taking place. and also the list. right now there is an issue with the list because the israelis were promised all mothers and children would be rereleased together. last night that didn't happen. some children came back to israel without their mothers. additionally, hamas is pushing to get more of their prisoners released. we are not talking about people that were just simply taken to jail for no reason. yesterday a woman who tried to commit a bombing attack against israel was released as parts of this deal in exchange for children being released at the hospital. it gives you a sense of the exchange. what's taking place hostages for prisoners, we do expect that to continue tonight. additional hostages will be released if this deal moves forward on the fourth day. >> lawrence: trey, are the americans, you know hamas, are they worth more which is why hamas is holding on to many of the americans? >> trey: it's tough to tell how they prioritize hostages. it's our understanding from talking to the group and also from the hostages they have released so far they understand the symbolism behind some 6 these hostages. for example there is a 10-month-old baby. and we spoke with one of his relatives yesterday tel aviv at hostage square. he has largely become a symbol of hope for the israeli people. he has not yet been on this initial list. israeli officials are hoping he could be released today. there is no clear indication yet if he will be on that list along with his brother who was also taken hostage into gaza. the israelis continue to see the aftermath of this brutal mass concern that took place more than 50 days ago. just last hour israeli prime minister benjamin was in one of the communities along the gaza border. he was joined by elon musk. once again, the israelis trying to show the world, the international community the brutality that hamas inflected on the civilian population here trying to remind people, especially high profile visitors to israel what took place and who hamas was targeting. >> ainsley: seeing images of the freed hostages. we were also just blown away by that beautiful video of the 9-year-old boy running downtown hallways of the hospital where you are right now at the hospital into the arms of his dad. what are the hostages telling you or their families telling you about how -- there's the little boy. he is 9 years old. how they all were treated? >> it's a great question. that little boy ohad 9 years old. celebrated his birthday while held in hamas in late october. he has become such a symbol for this country. he was reunited and one of the first things he did was go and have mashed potatoes and schnitzel fried chicken a classic dish here. you hear this from some of the family members. the grand mother we spoke with last hour the grandkids wanted pizza and ipads. joking they had been in gaza so long. they are just kids. they want to have snacks and want to play with their friends. ohad when he came to schneider children's hospital he was reunited with his friends and you saw images of them eating ice cream it. did you tell us through all of the noise in this story. >> this is a story about human its. and about people. and so many families are waiting, hoping that their loved ones will be on the next list of hostages from gaza. >> steve: let's hope. >> ainsley: what are the ducks behind you. do those represent anything with the hostages? >> trey: it's just decoration for the hospital. this hospital actually has a giant fish tank, too, for the kids. >> steve: there you go. >> brian: great to see you without a bullet proof vest. >> ainsley: and a helmet. >> brian: thanks, trey. >> steve: this is a story about humans. about people. as we looked at the wall downstairs. we see all the people who have been released so far. they are starting to tell us a little bit about what they went through. keep in mind. trey just mentioned that is many of the hostages are scattered and held by other organizations. hamas doesn't have control of them. what we have heard so far is apparently the hostages who have been held eat very irregularly. two of them lost 15 pounds in 50 days. they ate rice and they ate bread. they slept in rows of chairs pushed together in what seemed to be a reception area. and apparently it took them hours before they would allow them to go into a bathroom. others kept in other locations were given meals of cheese and cucumber and pitta bread. and one woman who was finally released had to adjust to the sunlight. the light, because she was kept underground for so long and she had to acclimate herself. >> ainsley: israel is providing counseling and support for all of those released. most of them freed were in good physical condition they could walk and sleep. two of them needed serious medical care one 84-year-old lady. she as rushed to israel's hospital in life-threatening conditions. she did have pre-existing conditions. the hospital said she was not treated properly in captivity. >> brian: one a group of prisoners and the others are innocent people. you have senior citizens and children and many children still being held captive. people seem to be missing this. this is no equal swap. people just living their lives going to go to brunch if they weren't massacred and some of the horror they seen and experienced goes behind comprehension. the question is. the israeli is in a tough spot. they cannot allow this group to exist mentsd. if you drip and drab hostages and human beings clinging to any type of hope in israel being held in captivity, how do you tell them okay, stop, we're going to go back to wiping out hamas? that's what's going to be tough. israel is going to do it. >> lawrence: and it all goes back to what's happening during this pause. many people and analysts believe this has given hamas an opportunity to regroup. remember, a lot of their leadership does not live within the gaza strip. they don't live there. and they -- their mission is to be able to have recruitment and to get more people on the ground. so there has been some talk about even some of the leaders that are left there being able to escape because there has been such pause. there is no air support now that gives them the cover they need to get out of the country. >> ainsley: i don't know what it was like for you all at your family table for thanksgiving. i know our family, like so many around the country around the around the world praying for hostages. next day when the cease-fire happened and many of them released. such an answer to prayer. >> steve: last day of the four day cease-fire. >> brian: fighting the drones and satellite to be able to see the me. and see where they are going. i know they are still exploring the tunnels, they are allowed to do that. >> steve: more on this throughout the morning. meanwhile coming up, a disturbing scene outside of the american museum of natural history, right here in new york city. watch this. >> nyc means kkk. >> ainsley: comparing nypd and idf to the kkk. we will unpack that unbelievable chant. >> lawrence: plus, police exodus, police turning in badges alarming rate over mast protest inhumane extra hours. >> brian: retired nypd inspector turned attorney paul mauro on the reality, next. ou've been waiting all year for these holiday deals. that's why we've made black friday bigger and better with golden gable deals. for one week, discover the best savings of the year for your home. get help reaching your goals with j.p. morgan wealth plan, a digital money coach in the chase mobile® app. use it to set and track your goals, big and small... and see how changes you make today... could help put them within reach. from your first big move to retiring poolside - and the other goals along the way. wealth plan can help get you there. ♪ j.p. morgan wealth management. hi, i'm stacey, and i've lost 60 pounds on golo. i will never see these numbers again. i have to go. i don't want to go. but i got my 20. i'm going to go. if you don't have 20 and leaving, that's the really bad sign. that just means, you know what?
