hostage. he got hugs from his family for the first time in seven days. joey:alex hogan is live in jerusalem. >> reporter: we are just hours from the expected release of more hostages on a historic day yesterday, the release of ten hostages, one filipino and 13 israeli hostages. let's look at how dramatic and emotional if this was, this little boy, 9 years old, running to see his father for the first time, reunited in that hospital. he and his mother were released. such emotional moments. this is seen as a major victory across israel, a desperate time for people begging for their release. there are three american hostages expected to be released through this deal, president biden was asked if we could see their release today. >> president biden: we don't know when that will occur but we expect it to occur. we don't know what the list of all the hostages are or when they will be released. my hope and expectation will be soon. >> reporter: these are the faces of the 13 israeli hostages, they are now home and safe. her two daughters, 4 years old and 2 years old. danielle aloni, and her daughter, ruth munda, ohad munda, indina mondet, hana parry and yafa adda. these hostages should be released at 4:00 p.m. local time. they will be handed to the red cross. we expect them to make their way on these buses just like we saw yesterday where they will go through the initial medical checks. before they are transferred by bus or helicopter to other medical facilities across the country, there will be medical checks and psychological evaluations and when they reach reached the hospital they will be greenlighted or their families, and the families of the initial hostages who have been released, it is the end of what has been a nightmare. >> the past several weeks have been a nightmare, we have a little bit of joy. everyone is back. we will be worried until everyone is back home safely. >> reporter: here's another of those reunions, families being reunited, first hugs after the release of amelia and her mother, daniel. something a lot of people are talking about is the health conditions we've seen, a lot of these hostages being able to walk, run, hug, and embrace their loved ones, we had no idea 24 hours ago what state they would be in. there's a lot to see and terms of psychological advantage we will see you. as far as what's going on in this cease-fire, it has been relatively calm in gaza, sirens are going off in northern israel. there had been reports earlier of a possible drone invasion. rachel: i also was so surprised to see that little boy running towards his family, what a beautiful moment. some of the littlest ones were released. were there anymore little children? i saw photos weeks ago of terrorists holding little babies, any of those children still left behind? >> there are very young children. to imagine the condition they might be in, we will hopefully see their release today. what we expect from hostage releases in the three days to follow, we are looking at children under the age of 19, either their mothers or elder women, we are not expecting to see any men released and not expecting to see women in their 20s, 30s and 40s if they are not mothers. that's a difficult thing to hear if you are father or mother your 25-year-old was kidnapped knowing she would not be among them but there are very small children who remain in gaza. there's a lot of hope today they could be among those released. joe: that image of that little girl took our breath away. you heard what the president said, we could have americans today. you are on the ground, you know what the reality is. do you get the sense that hamas is going to hold these american hostages until the last minute to extract as much as possible from us? >> what is worth noting with the release of these hostages, there's a list of names given the night before. as much as families are made aware, there's this fear of not wanting to talk about or release any information until we have the moment we've been watching playing out, hugging your loved one to make sure that is them while they might have received word that it was their loved one who couldn't be released until they are holding their child or mother, it is too painful to discuss, potential possibility that they could get their hopes up, go to the hospital, and it is not actually their loved one. there are several dual citizen is really american citizens that could be released, three of them are those potential and a lot of expectations, likely a lot of pressure on the biden administration to see what the biden administration can do to secure their release. joe: i know there has been a lot of talk the biden administration has put pressure on israel to not just have the cease-fire but to negotiate for hostages. qatar, the us, and egypt involved in this negotiation. citizens from thailand working on their release. obviously it is easy to see ourselves in a bubble here, are there other multilateral communications or negotiations going on where we might have a similar sort of surprise from other countries? >> reporter: we will see the release of more tie hostages. they were helping farmers and they essentially were caught up in the middle of this. likely to see more of them released today. this is a separate deal. there were about 20 other countries aside from the us and israel trying to navigate this as well. there citizens caught up in all of this. one thing worth noting, how complicated and difficult the situation would be on top of being taken as a hostage, but to be there when you are caught in the middle and don't speak either language so you can't communicate with those who abducted you or with the other hostages that are there alongside you. just how traumatic that would be as well. there are so many layers of pain and trauma we are only starting to unravel. joe: thank you so much. rachel: that is just so true. there is so much joy around the release, but how traumatic it must be to have been in captivity for that long and taken under such violent conditions. this is a long road. joe: we talked about this yesterday on the five, the idea that these hostages are experiencing, seeing, and learning things they don't know they are learning like what was that noise in the next room. can they talk to these hostages and discern from what the hostages say, we haven't heard people talking about this or the machine doing that or there is weapons here, mapping out the tunnels. there must be a command element there because of what they heard. these hostages are going to be heroes in ways they don't know yet not just for surviving but for what information they can bring back to israel. will: also the fact that you have to do that with the adults and the kids but the kids have the extra layer of trying to explain what happened in a way that a child can understand. you saw those images when they welcomed the children back, they have teddy bears and all these things to get to normalcy, to a situation that for the last number of weeks has been anything but normal. rachel: so much joy but so much to unravel. our president was on vacation in nantucket but he was not, he was not removed from some of the chaos that was going on. he was confronted with these protesters on the side of the palestinians here. this was 2000 of them. here's a little bit of sound of what he had to hear. >> free palestine! free palestine! free palestine! >> excuse me. this is a community tree lighting. we respect your right to national security. listen to this. >> they share a common hatred. they hit the united states and what it stands for, it stands for imperialism, capitalism and all these things and so at these palestine rallies i have seen antifa iconography, blm supporters out there and it is because they share this radical ideology in the sense the united states as we know it needs to be completely the crazy thing to me is that they live in america. they hate the country that allows them to do the shenanigans they are doing right now. rachel: the fbi was so infiltrated into the january 6th point. all the pandering democrats due to the far left they don't believe it in their heart. it is almost like they need to shut up the left and give them a bone so they don't keep going after them on things like the israel policy and drilling and stuff like that. if we give you this appliance stuff and make it look like we are doing something we will appease you. i think it is our shiny ball. >> essentially what is happening right now in qatar is you are having the united states, israel, qatar and others, egypt is involved in the negotiations so we are not talking to hamas directly but we are talking through the egyptians, remember that during the taliban and negotiations in 2019-20, we were using the curries in delhi. we done this before. this is not a new role. however, the administration, if we don't get more americans out today we should know within hours who the next 10 to 15 are. if there are not americans on the list, this administration is going to have to use leverage, they are going to have to be direct with our negotiators, especially with hamas. this is one of the reasons, none of this stuff happens in a vacuum, this is why three years of trying to appease iran doesn't help the situation, doesn't help get americans home. the policy directly affects what happening today. >> is there more pressure on the biden administration to get americans hours or more pressure on israel to get americans out? >> they are americans, they are our response ability ultimately and we have been thankfully except for the extreme fringes we've been, there has been a bipartisan consensus that has been supportive of the state of israel, that needs to continue. i very much worry what we are seeing on the extreme left but ultimately the responsibility of any president of the united states is to get americans home and remember during covid, i was part of the team that had to get one hundred thousand americans home. we had to repatriate them from around the world so this is tough, these are tough issues but they can be done with a strong president and strong secretary of state. joe: we appreciate you bringing your expertise. still ahead, a fox weather alert, snowstorms could have a major impact on one of the busiest travel weekends of the year. our own chief meteorologist, rick, is tracking get straightahead. plus don't cry for him. donald trump planning to visit argentina as the south american nation becomes the latest to raise the global wave of conservatism during elections. manhattan institute fellow daniel martino calls this a once in a generation opportunity and we ask him why straight ahead. 4hr prevents heartburn acid before it begins. get all-day and all-night heartburn acid prevention with just one pill a day. choose acid prevention. choose nexium. we handcraft every stearns & foster using the finest materials, like indulgent memory foam, and ultra-conforming innersprings, for a beautiful mattress and indescribable comfort. for a limited time, save up to $800 on select stearns & foster adjustable mattress sets. hillsdale was founded in 1844 we're passing on a cultural heritage, the culture of the west when the federal government started giving money to colleges, we didn't take it. that independence has allowed us to stay with our mission that we established 175 years ago. because we don't accept federal money, we are free to concentrate on the mission of the college we care about freedom and that affiliates us with the free institutions of america. when my doctor gave me breztri for my copd things changed for me. breztri gave me better breathing, symptom improvement, and reduced flare-ups. breztri won't replace a rescue inhaler for sudden breathing problems. it is not for asthma. tell your doctor if you have a heart condition or high blood pressure before taking it. don't take breztri more than prescribed. breztri may increase your risk of thrush, pneumonia, and osteoporosis. call your doctor if worsened breathing, chest pain, mouth or tongue swelling, problems urinating, vision changes, or eye pain occur. ask your doctor about breztri. sure, i'm a paid actor, and this is not a real company, but there is no way to fake how upwork can help your business. search talent all over the world with over 10,000 skills you may not have in house. more than 30% of the fortune 500 use upwork because this is how we work now. rachel: back with a fox weather alert, snow is falling in the midwest for this thanks giving we can, travelers should be prepared for flightmares, 280 flights been delayed, 22 have been canceled across the country. meteorologists say part of the midwest could see a foot of snow and slick roads. let's turn to chief meteorologist rick reichmuth. our friends in the midwest going to get home?
