welcome to a special edition of "jesse watters primetime". i am kayleigh mackanin a. tonight we start with a fox news alert. an explosion at the u.s. canada border triggered an international response. this story has been developing all day. here is what we know. a car going up to 100 miles per hour smashed into a concrete barrier near a border checkpoint. two who were in the car died and they were believed to be a couple in their late 40s or early 50s. a border agent was also injured and treated for minor injuries and released from the hospital. despite the dramatic nature of the crash, the governor of new york says there is no sign of terrorism. >> based on what we know at this moment, and again anything can change, there is no sign of terrorist activity with respect to this crash eric we have identified that this is a local individual, a western new yorker. >> now we are hearing the car was coming from a nearby casino and the driver was trying to cross over into canada. started driving erratically and went up onto the median. look at that video. that was to avoid a border patrol officer stationed off to the side. the car went airborne and crashed and burst into flames. here is an eyewitness. >> about 30 feet from me i seen something airborne. i first thought it was an arrow point. a look like slow-motion. it's a car. it's a vehicle and it's flying through the air. he hit the concrete barrier probably right at the signal and then all of a sudden black smoke, no explosion. we all heard, the people in the building heard it, meddle on medal. all of a sudden i saw black smoke and then fire. there was no explosion. just black smoke. there was so much smoke it was unbelievable. >> the crash was so fierce and in such a sensitive location that everyone's mind went to the same place. terror. with war in the middle east, violent domestic protests, radicals calling for days of jihad, the fbi director telling us to be vigilant. we are all on edge. after the car crash, government buildings were evacuated. buffalo airport stopped international flights and search the trunks and back seats of cars. the trains between the u.s. and canada were suspended. this is what usually happens after a terrorist attack, sources tell fox. president biden was even briefed. canada's prime minister justin trudeau was briefed too. this was an international incident. we are still trying to figure out exactly what happened. every minute new details are coming in. moments ago we got word that the rainbow bridge has been reopened. we will bring you more details as we get them. chris walker is a former fbi agent and joins me now. chris, that's a pretty dramatic reaction, shutting down the airport, dogs sniffing cars, shutting down border checkpoints. is this part for the course? >> it is. it's the times we live in, kayleigh. given the location where this happened, the heightened terror alert status that we are in right now, just the overall circumstances. it's almost a default to terrorism first before we can rule it out. the target appeared to be, if you can call it a target, a border patrol booth area. all of these things, whether its coincidence or not, add up to consistent with a terror attack. i have investigated these types of bombings in general when i was leading a team of agents in iraq. we went to two dozen bomb sites. every time there was a bomb involved there was a giant crater the size of a swimming pool. i don't see that here. all the circumstances point away from terrorism. >> so, pretty quickly it seems like what you are saying, you don't see this huge blast zone. pretty quickly they were able to determine not terrorism? >> maybe not pretty quickly, but it's critical to get the identity of the people in the car. that will tell you almost the whole story. do they have a history? are they on anybody's list? have they've been posting or telling people, expressing themselves in terms of political views and their plans to do something like this? to me this looks like an active suicide or some kind of suicide pact if there were two people in the car. this doesn't, if it's not an act of terrorism, it doesn't diminish the fact that we are in a heightened terror alert and probably in the most vulnerable situation we have been since pre-9/11. >> yeah. we don't know the motive just yet. we will continue to gather the facts. thank you very much. israel israel-hama have just struck a deal that would bring this war to a halt temporarily. it would be a temporarily pause on what israel is promising to give hamas in exchange for 50 hostages. a pause for the hostages. women and children we are told who since october 7th have been trapped inside the treacherous hamas tunnels. they may finally see daylight. israel has agreed to release 150 palestinian prisoners. it's a 3-1 hostage swap deal which is set to happen over a four-day period. benjamin netanyahu says it was an ethical thing to do. >> we are bringing back babies, mothers and children. we have the highest ethical demand on us to do so. >> it's not just israel's babies being released. it's americans too. look at that picture. that his three-year-old abigail eaton who is expected to be among the 50 hostages released. abigail became an orphan on october 7th when her parents were murdered as they were shielding abigail, shielding their three-year-old from the bullets hamas was raining down on them. abigail turns 4 on friday. what is left of her family is hoping that she will be home to celebrate. >> she is a three-year-old child who should never be a hostage anywhere in the world. we only hope that she is. her birthday is on friday. she is turning 4. she should not be spending her birthday somewhere in the dark in gaza. >> so sad. for many grieving families hope is all they have. like the family of 10 -month-old and a four-year-old. according to the times of israel they were huddled with their parents. the father texted family that the boys were having a hard time staying quiet and he said it felt like the end. his last message was, i love you hours later family saw a viral video of him sound surrounded by hamas terrorist as she held her babies in her arms. then there was a family of four-year-old roz and two-year-old aviv. they were taken captive with their mother leaving their father and a living nightmare. he was on the phone with his wife when she told him there were terrorists inside the house chilling. she tracked her phone and was able to see the phone move into gaza. i can't sleet. i am living outside my own body he told the new york times. i have two little babies, two little girls. these little babies should not be held or kept by terrorist. these are innocent children abducted by terrorists over 45 days ago. hamas reported is holding up to 240 hostages total. israel has promised to give an an additional day of cease-fire for every 10 additional hostages released. but can israel trust hamas? that's the question here. moments after the deal was announced, hamas said the following. we affirm that our fingers remain on the trigger. if history is any guide, we should know hamas has violated cease-fires in the past. violating sometimes the cease-fires minutes after agreeing to them. for every hamas prisoner released, it's another layer of risk to israel. the men responsible for the october 7th attacks was released in a prisoner swap back in 2011 and he coordinated that murder is day. the white house is taking a don't trust and verify approach to the situation. >> we do assess that other militant groups, even potentially criminal organizations, were holding some of the hostages and hamas is working to try to ensure it can deliver on its side of the bargain. we can't say for certain that hamas will step up and deliver. that's why this is a trust but verify approach. >> i'm struck by the trust but verify. how do you trust people, hamas in particular, who are not known for keeping their word? how concerned are you about this and what are we doing about that? >> look, that's a very fair comment. the better way to talk about it is don't trust and verify. >> hugh dugan is a special envoy hostage for hostage affairs. he joins me now. you and i worked in the same administration, the trump administration, which had great success in getting american hostages home. i know you know robert well, your predecessor. we are learning there is no cease-fire tomorrow. it looks like there is a push of this deal by 24 hours. what do you read into that? >> thank you for having me, kayleigh. it's a matter of us tempering our expectations because hamas is not a good faith player. they don't respect hostage but are using hostages as our own life insurance. i think the effort on their part is not only to destroy israel, but to humiliate the u.s. as well and hopefully out of the region as they seek to be proxies for creating and alternate region with iran as their broker. >> what do you make about the terms of this deal? it is three to one. 150 prisoners out and then 50 hostages back. >> it is unbalanced. but we can't continue to speak about people as commodities. we have to pull back the lens and realize we are talking about the bargaining of human life. this is a sacred thing. we need to come at this with maximum response because taking in hostages is tantamount to an act of war. we can get into headcounts and try to play poker with this, but this remains an online poker game, unfortunately. we've got to do our best to show resolve and turn the tide on the terms. basically we should be telling hamas return all the hostages, surrender and you will live. though should be the conditions. >> makes sense. i like the way you phrase that. the attempt of his life spent in captivity. what a beautiful thing if he got to go home and be with his family. i want to ask you this. part of this deal is that the red cross will get to go in and assess the remaining hostages and give them medical care. how much will the red cross be able to gather in terms of the conditions of hostages, the way they are treated and the environment? >> we will see if this is implementable. there is a fog of war. there is mistrust. there is confusion and anger on the ground. i would be impressed if the icrc and red cross and others would get access relatively soon and on the terms we would need. we need a lot of information. we need proof of life. we need names. we need nationalities. over 200 people are from 29 different countries. i believe our country should try to coordinate with them and establish some mechanism so we can exert maximum pressure on iran and show resolve against this heinous practice and to recover souls who are suffering right now. >> yeah. we want to bring those babies home. all of those 240 hostages. thank you. on october 7th, hamas threw an explosive inside of the home of yuri levine. his quick instincts saved his life. yuri jumped out of the window and survived. but outside he found himself swarmed by hamas terrorists where he was viciously dragged out of his home. yuri new was coming. either captivity or death. through his courage, yuri fought back breaking free and running away from hamas. here to tell us the story, yuri levine. yuri, you were income far. thank you for being here. we know the atrocities that happened there. babies burned alive. you managed to escape this. you were in your shelter. take us through what happened. >> so, at 6:30 in the morning i wake up at 6:00 a.m. and decided to go out with my friend. i decided that i am going to go back to sleet. this is the first miracle that happened to us. other people that go to iran, the whole city, all of them were murdered by the terrorists hamas isis. 6:30 in the morning all of us heard the alarm. we didn't know what to do in this moment. we go inside to the shelter room a moment after we hear the alarm, i went behind my window. the terrorists were yelling in arabic. i heard a grenade all over the place. in this moment i was hiding below my bed inside my house. my bedroom is the shelter room. so i hide there for almost three hours. and then at 10:00 a.m. i heard that they spilled something into my house. they shoot inside my house. they shoot outside behind my window. i hear civilians screaming. i hear a woman that is screaming don't touch my children. after that i hear some guy telling them i don't speak arabic. anything that they will tell you, i cannot explain the scary seconds and moments that i have when i hide there. at 10:00 a.m. they spilled something inside to my house. a moment after i hear it again they are shooting inside my house. one second after i hear the fire inside my house. the smoke, the moment i go out from below my bed. >> you actually--i only have a few moments. you went out your window and hamas captured you. how did you get away from hamas and what was that like? >> they kidnapped me and they take me from my house. i saw the murderers eyes. i had a moment that i understand that if i go left with them, they kidnapped me and they will rape me like they did to women and children and so many people and so many of my friends. one second of insight powerful, i decided to start running and i just run for my life. the only reason that they are still alive is because the guy with the gun goes back to kill more of my friends. in my neighborhood. you need to understand 1400 people were murdered. 36 kidnapped in gaza. children, kids, women, young people. i saw more in the media. people taking the science. >> yuri, we have run out of time. but i want to thank you very much for waking up so early for us. my heart grieves for you. you are in my prayers. those lost in my prayers and those hostages. thank you for sharing your story with our viewers. >> thank you. gavin newsom just found a way to indoctrinate your kids. that is straight ahead. the chase ink business premier card is made for people like sam, who make- everyday products, designed smarter. like a smart coffee grinder, that orders fresh beans for you. oh, genius! for more breakthroughs like that- i need a breakthrough card. like ours! with 2.5% cash back on purchases of $5,000 or more. plus unlimited 2% cash back on all other purchases. and with greater spending potential, sam can keep making smart ideas- a brilliant reality! the ink business premier card from chase for business. make more of what's yours. she found it. the feeling of finding the psoriasis treatment she's been looking for. sotyktu is the first-of-its-kind, once-daily pill for moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis for the chance at clear or almost clear skin. it's like the feeling of finding your back... is back. or finding psoriasis can't deny the splendor of these thighs. once-daily sotyktu is proven to get more people clearer skin than the leading pill. don't take if you're allergic to sotyktu; serious reactions can occur. sotyktu can lower your ability to fight infections including tb. serious infections, cancers including lymphoma, muscle problems, and changes in certain labs have occurred. tell your doctor if you have an infection, liver or kidney problems, high triglycerides, or had a vaccine or plan to. sotyktu is a tyk2 inhibitor. tyk2 is part of the jak family. it's not known if sotyktu has the same risks as jak inhibitors. find what plaque psoriasis has been hiding. ask your dermatologist about sotyktu for clearer skin. so clearly you. sotyktu. i have moderate to severe crohn's disease. now, there's skyrizi. ♪ things are looking up, i've got symptom relief. ♪ ♪ control of my crohn's means everything to me. ♪ ♪ control is everything to me. ♪ feel significant symptom relief at 4 weeks with skyrizi, including less abdominal pain and fewer bowel movements. skyrizi is the first il-23 inhibitor that can deliver remission and visibly improve damage of the intestinal lining. and the majority of people experienced long-lasting remission at one year. serious allergic reactions and an increased risk of infections or a lower ability to fight them may occur. tell your doctor if you have an infection or symptoms, had a vaccine or plan to. liver problems may occur in crohn's disease. ♪ now's the time to ask your gastroenterologist how you can take control of your crohn's with skyrizi. ♪ ♪ control is everything to me. ♪ ♪ learn how abbvie could help you save.
