>> >> griff: it is a big event. let me give you a look, you can see the capitol through the anning of the stage. this is where the march will take place and on the stage big names including speaker johnson and majority leader chuck schumer and have israel's president herzog along with mark herzog, ambassador to the u.s., here. you can get a feel, there are cop cars and security here. here are chairs set up for vip donor people with a gift bag. i don't know what is in there. look all the way down to the monument, they have security, perimeter all the way down there 12 to 14 blocks and security is something they are taking into consideration. but while you are seeing people turning out to support israel, to free the hostages and stand up against antisemitism, you have some members of congress, the squad, speaking owl and calling for a ceasefire. take a listen. >> the israeli government does not represent judaism or jewish values. and the jewish people, it does not. >> ceasefire is not just an option, it is our only way out of this. >> president biden, i hope you are listening, i'm consistent in telling this over and over again, listen to the majority of americans calling for a ceasefire now. >> griff: one thing, we've been walking around the security perimeter trying to see if the marchers have come down. we saw one sign for the march already being defaced with "free palestine and genocide" written on it. that is why security is tight. may ooror /* -- mayor bowser ha deployed the national guard. the approximately will not be here, perhaps there will be some late addition. i give you one last look, rementes me when you had the pro-palestine march a few weeks ago, they were at freedom plaza and marched to the white house. this will not be a march, it will be a rally. tens of thousands will turn out, being bussed from places to rally from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. that is the main event. they are getting the sound system set up. there will be musicians and an actress, debra messing. >> steve: she will be there. perfect scene. bring in house speaker mike johnson joining from the cannon rotunda. good morning. we heard griff jenkins say you will rally for israel. does it disturb you there are so many people on the other side who are actually members of congress? >> it is very disturbing. i can't wait to be out there at the rally today. it is a very important stance we can take temperature is unconscionable members of congress will give cover to antisemitism. we have seen that spring up around the country. israel is the good in this fight, i agree 100% with what my friend benjamin netanyahu said. it is civilization versus barberism. we have to stand with israel, one of my first acts was to pas the bipartisan support package to help israel. we need that to be signed into law and we will stand strong with them today. >> lawrence: did you talk to the president? there is no word of the president or vice president showing up, do you think it does a disservice to the cause that all three branches of government are not represented at the rally today? >> it would certainly be nice to have the president or vice president or both at this rally. he needs to show support and we need to project strength. the problem with biden presidency, we are projecting weakness and that invites aggression and iran has factored that in. we will stand strong with israel, i am happy to see the senate do the same. they need to get the package voted through to sign into law and do that immediately thachl is a priority we continue to push. >> ainsley: the house is expected to bring your two-part measure to the floor for a vote. you have six that oppose the deal. you need democrats, how do you expect to get their votes? >> i think we will get it done. washington is broken. the appropriations process has not worked in decades. new innovation, two-state cr is important paradigm shift. it will prevent omnibus spending bill where thousands of pages are hoisted on members and we have to vote for example, like last year on 1.7 trillion lumped in together. that is no way to run a railroad. breaking it up and doing part by january and part by february allow congress to do its job in the open and allow us to fight for conservative principles and fiscal sanity. >> brian: republicans are upset because there are no spending cuts and democrats are upset no funding for ukraine, funding for israel. the senate is ready to work for this. you lost goode, marjorie taylor greene, scott perry, santos, matt rosendale. the last time a speaker combined with democrats to pass something, that speaker lost his job. are you concerned you will lose your job if this passes? >> i'm not, we are doing something different by breaking it up and doing the latter cr, it is a different process. it was not kevin's fault, the circumstances are different. by doing this, we allow ourselves to do our job and fight for conservative principles. i hate cr's we shouldn't do this and next year we will not do it. this will bridge the gap to prevent a government shutdown. >> lawrence: is that a commitment from you next year no cr's, you won't sign through going through the regular order process? >> that is exactly right. we will force it the way it is supposed to be done. budget control act of 1974 spells it out and nobody follows it and that is why we have the economic crisis, combined with bidenomics. we have to change how washington works and we are in the process of doing that. >> steve: you met with the house freedom caucus last night, i was just talking to somebody that was in the meeting. they appreciate the two-step ladder, but nobody from the house freedom caucus like it or will vote for it. you will have to vote on suspension today, which means you need two-thirds, that is gigantic mountain to climb and you need a bunch of democrats. >> we need everybody to support it. the idea came out of freedom caucus for latter cr. they want big spending cuts on front end, we only have a three-vote margin of republican, we don't have enough votes to do it. this will have to be bipartisan measure to prevent the government from shutting down. the democrats hold the white house and senate, this is good governance and gives opportunity to have policy fights we want for changes on border and oversight of ukraine and supplemental. we have to fight to change how this system works, that is what this effort will accomplish and look forward to fights ahead of it. >> ainsley: you had exciting last few weeks. you became speaker of the house, i loved your speech and love you are a christian and don't apologize and your daughter was engaged recently. hannah and cody. i know you went to louisiana to celebrate. tell us about it. >> cody did a great job. ill time for us, after the speakers race, but a great time and we're super happy. they are a great couple. >> brian: you will get all the votes, it seems. former speaker of the house, 96% approval, is considering retiring. is there significant position for him? i don't think we've had a speaker go back. what do you think about that? >> i've had many talks with kevin, dear friend of mine. we've talked about what role he can play. i'm completely open to his ideas on that. he's getting offers in the private sector and he should. i want kevin to do what is best for him, i want kevin to stay and we need that leadership in the house. >> steve: we'll watch for you speaking at 2:05 at the rally for israel. >> brian: your prediction is? >> on the vote? >> brian: yep? >> i'll let you know in a couple hours, i'm meeting with republicans now. >> brian: need to meet with democrats. >> yeah, right. >> lawrence: to fox news alert, united flight headed from los angeles to canada making emergency landing after alleged bomb threat. >> ainsley: alexandria hoff joins us with what the airline is saying. >> alexandria: a threat was made as it was heading over northern california, potential security issue forced the united aircraft to divert. the threat level was low, the plane moved from the tarmac to passenger terminal and everybody offboarded there. flight 1909 diverted to san francisco due to security issue onboard. the flight landed safely and met by localing law enforcement. we will get the customers to their locations. 148 passengers on board and eight crew members. unclear if any arrests were made. >> steve: could have been a passenger, a phone call, a text. >> alexandria: they did not distinguish passenger or crew member, joke or not. there is a statistic i was looking at even post-covid from last year to this year, unruly passenger incidents rose another 47%. airlines, it is not the -- distinguished kind of feeling to taking a flight couple years ago, it is not there anymore. >> lawrence: i'm on planes and every time i'm on, some passenger getting into it with one another or with the flight attendant. >> they have turned into public buses at this point. >> steve: if they say, you cannot drink the alcohol you might have purchased on the ground on our plane. you can only drink our alcohol. >> they can monitor it. >> steve: thanks. >> ainsley: that happened to my parents. they were on a plane and someone said bomb on the plane and they had to land and arrested the guy. >> steve: 8:14 and carley has news about russell brand? they came up with something, 168 million could have gone to the bank. they say if the true value of property was out there, our heart goes out to the banks. >> i think it is a ridiculous theory. the banks have skin in the game. there is no way they lost 168 million and they didn't sue?
