closed-door fundraiser. he said, we have not stopped winning and he hasn't stopped losing. there are liberals who are not so sure. >> the biden-harris coalition could be called humpty-dumpty coalition. the black vote and youth vote on the ground, this is not good. >> the biden campaign is pushing back on that, we have seen coverage from media coverage, political prediction tend to be different a year later. joe biden has been counted out time and time again. his problems are laid out in this "new york times" poll. georgia trump plus six, arizona trump plus five. michigan trump plus five. pennsylvania trump plus four. "new york times" columnist says among demographic groups he must win. i sense dissatisfaction and the war in gaza is making it worse. we had a chance yesterday to ask the president about exactly this. >> peter: why do you think you are trailing trump in swing state polls? >> president biden: you don't read the poles, 10 polls, eight i'm beating him. you guys only do two, cnn and "new york times." check it out. >> peter: true to his word, the approximate the and his team got a copy of the polls, but they are national pols and four of them are three-way polls that give biden the lead over trump when r.f.k. jr. is on the ballot. back to you. >> lawrence: wow. >> brian: get this straight, mike larosa, worked with jill biden, came out and said the campaign is a mess and david axelrod said think about running. i did not mention karl rove or a former president. these attacks are from inside the tent peter, i think it is significant. >> peter: maybe that is why president biden was eager to come defend himself. attacks from outside the white house including former officials and people the bidens are used to and we have not seen a ton of the president lately. when we came into this white house, he was taking questions from reporters all the time. we've seen less and less of him and his approval rating has really cratered. it is only up from here, if you are biden and it -- hopefully yesterday him being so chatty and so forthcoming -- >> brian: good for you. >> peter: it would be great, we have a lot of questions and there will be more polls. maybe they will let him try to make the case himself. >> lawrence: peter, not just outside the white house, there are people within the white house that say they feel like the president is complicit when it comes to real israel response to the attack that happened and they are openly leaking to the press about administration strategy. is there any word about the white house sitting them down and talking to the staffers that don't like the president's policy right now? >> peter: we know there have been efforts to hear out these groups of arab american white house staffers who, according to reports have been putting out the word they wish president biden would consider a ceasefire or be more considerate of the atrocities happening inside of palestine right now or inside of gaza, pardon me, with palestinians. but there has not been, nobody has put their name on anything at the white house to complain about the israel policy. one guy worked at the state department and resigned with a very dramatic letter explaining and outlining his problem with the administration policies. in terms of people at the white house, have not heard anybody resign in protest and maybe it happened and we don't know about it, nobody put their name to that. >> brian: peter, are they grinding a tree stump next to you? >> peter: that is what they are do, bad polls and a tree stump that has been there 100 years has to come out. >> brian: follow that story throughout the day. >> ainsley: the race is ramping up, we're hearing the president talk about donald trump and donald trump is ahead and has higher approval rating than the other five combined. the governor endorsed ron desantis and some did not understand that, president trump had endorsed her. she is well liked in the state, but when donald trump was upset with her for not being ready to endorse, he went after her and she decided to go for ron desantis. the -- is endorsing donald trump, she tells you why. >> president trump will fire joe biden and win our country back, we were better off when he was president, strong economy, strong country, our border was secure, we need president trump back to make america great again. he's strong, he's doing well in my home state of iowa and i think people recognize that biden's leadership has been absolute failure and they remember what it was like under president trump and want him back. >> pete: there is a reason the polls are devastating on both sides. you have the premise regulars had for a long time, i'm more likely to beat joe biden than donald trump. trump can't win, that is blown out of the water and premise of biden running for reelection when he is unpopular and really old, i'm the guy that will beat donald trump and polls collapse both arguments and -- i don't, they are slouching toward him being the nominee because there is not an alternative there. they are going to yell with political operation, but everybody knows they need a different candidate to run against trump. >> ainsley: we watch the debate, we walked away and said it is interesting all six republican candidates are better than the one the democrat has? >> here is the issue. democrats say, listen, stop being so hysterical, you thought we would get blown out in the midterm because of afghanistan, because of inflation, we didn't. we had abortion and you thought going to be disaster midterm as kentucky went back to republican governor and virginia flipped and became maybe a ret state, it didn't happen, we have abortion. maybe he feels we got two things, i will make donald trump the worst person on the planet, worst person you could have in america. and number two, continue to message freedom as relates to women and republicans don't like women and don't want them to be free. that is the messaging. >> i think you are right. problem they have with donald trump, although the president is pro-life and he did get the supreme court to overturn roe v. wade, it is he has a different position on what states and what message the republicans should have in the election regarding being pro-life and he says some stuff is not reasonable, if you want to win. looks like the former president is willing to shift strategy on it versus the typical republican party. we'll see how it turns out, though. >> ainsley: yesterday we were on the set talking about at 12:00 yesterday, noon, there would be kids walking out of classrooms. this was all public schools in new york city, mainly high school students walking out in protest of what is happening. it is called shut it down for palestine rally, the pro-palestinians, you can see the signs, free palestine, stop genocide, shouting out something about joe biden, how it is genocide and brian brenberg went there. we talked to him earlier and he told us what he saw there. listen to this. this was him talking to protesters. >> brian: the tragedy palestine is facing is because of the israeli government and our tax dollars, it is scary and i don't like it. >> brian: do you think it is possible for hamas to free the hostages who are in gaza right now? >> they have tried. >> brian: hamas has tried? >> they said we do not want the hostages. >> brian: some call them terrorists, you are calling them freedom fighters? >> right. >> lawrence: this guy was approved to speak. when you go to rallies, they surround you and have tiktok videos and group chats of all the reporters that aren't friendly to hamas. >> brian: they are fans of us? >> lawrence: they are not, we don't like hamas, they like hamas. you get to the protest, they surround you, they don't allow the kids unless they give them the opportunity to speak and that happened yesterday. brian brenberg said they stormed "new york times," they had spray paint and 75% of the crowd had face masks they don't want the world to see who they are. >> ainsley: they walked into the "new york times" and occupied the lobby passing out mock newspapers that said new york war crimes instead of "new york times." there was a police cruiser outside. they bashed in the window, they were spray painting cars with graffiti. >> brian: what is amazing, what one of these people cared about the palestinian situation before october 7? where were the pro-palestinian? you never heard of it. people protesting or rallying for armenia. until october 7, massacre against israelis they had no mission. what is going on there? >> pete: you are correct, when you look at how they teach history? high school and universities, they were prepped for this moment. the continuum in their view of the middle east and western classrooms, october 7, regardless who perpetrated it, lit a match on world view they already have and are willing to embrace intifadafrom the river to the sea, some foolish kids may not know what that means. most of them know precisely. >> lawrence: to pete's point on the universities before the terror attack hamas and allies were taught to be freedom fighters. they were not taught as terrorists. the conflict happened, many of the message when i talk with these, they feel like the attack was justified because of the conflict before. >> ainsley: the united states government deemed hamas a terrorist organization. we can see what they did to the people in israel. when you hear that man on the streets saying they are freedom fighters, why? for putting a baby in an oven and burning the baby to death? why? because they chopped off a little girl's foot and brother's fingers while eating breakfast with their parents. gouged out the guys eyes and cut off the woman's breast and then killed them off after that gruesome attack. why would that be freedom fighter? that is not a freedom fighter. benjamin netanyahu was asked about pro-palestinian marches and rashida tlaib posting that video from the river to the sea and he explained what that means to the jewish state. listen. >> from the river to the sea means no israel, from the jordan river to the mediterranean, tiny area, by the way, that encompasses israel, there is no israel. what the congresswoman is calling for is polyicide and genocide, the jewish people thachl is absurd and i salute congress for censoring her. >> brian: he had a long interview with bret yesterday, abc two days before. he talked about the pause. hostage approach and they are going to forge ahead. they have to get rid of hamas. this can't be retaliation, it has to be elimination. he knows the american situation and knows that xi knows what he's doing. he probably wouldn't recognize fifth avenue yesterday or wouldn't have recognized los angeles as you had american jews fighting pro-hamas people out in california. meanwhile, he is over there probably -- palestinians have to be elated, iranians have to be elated, look what we've done inside america with next generation. >> part of hamas strategy is to draw this out as long as they can, counting on international condemnation and pressure inside america against this white house so they don't get utterly eradicated, what should happen in gaza. it didn't have to be this way. it didn't. look at afghanistan and the war that was started in ukraine, look at what hamas did in gaza. they just so happen to happen in the last 2-1/2 years. >> ainsley: why are you shocked when you see the amount of people that show up for protests and that rashida tlaib wins elections. i'm surprised. >> lawrence: that is her constituency, they share the viewpoint of hers and goes to the point pete was making, it didn't have to be this way. americans felt safer under donald trump and they don't like the way joe biden handled the conflict. donald trump was asked to respond about the current conflict and he said it wouldn't have happened under his watch. watch. >> if i were president, we had the trump, five hostages and five hostages sound good, they gave access to 6 billion, that is a lot, that is peanuts compared to the oil money because we made it so. they freeze the funds. >> brian: that was his sit down with univision, he wants the hispanic votes, he said nice things about hispanics, he loves hispanics and he got along with the mexican president and that is how they cracked down on the border. this mexican president is also basically haranguing president biden and governor desantis openly each though donald trump brought up we will use special forces to take out cartel members. >> pete: back to the taco bowl. >> brian: they are the best over there. >> ainsley: over to carley with headlines. >> carley: good morning, starting in pennsylvania, philadelphia police are asking the public for health in their search for a group of suspects caught on camera robbing a pizza shop, but that is not all. authorities say they returned to the area a few hours later abducting a young man, forcing him to give his banking information. the suspects have been on the loose for almost a month. investigators urging anyone with information to give them a call. the man charged in last year's attack on nancy pelosi's husband is expected to take the stand next week. bad camera footage shows the suspect attacking paul pelosi with a hammer after breaking into the couple's san francisco home. during opening statement depap's lawyer did not dispute de depap's -- depap pleaded not guilty, he faces up to life in prison. and to thursday night football we go. bears host panthers this first quarter punt return would be only time carolina found the endzone all game, lead that would hold until late in the third quarter. >> give it to foreman and he's in. foreman takes it in for the touchdown. >> giving chicago first lead of the night, carolina had a chance at long field goal to tie the game with two minutes to go, came up short, bears win 16-13. pete said it was a bad game. >> pete: two bad teams. >> ainsley: panthers are carolina. >> pete: just an opinion. >> brian: carley, you are so gooda sports, red zone called and want you to do it this weekend. >> carley: i could do all 24 hours or however long they go. >> brian: game to game to game to game. >> carley: i did learn what pay dirt means, i will make sure everyone knows pay dirt means scoring a touchdown. >> brian: thank you, carley. fox news alert, president biden will meet with chinese president xi face-to-face next week in san francisco. >> ainsley: and nikki haley on what biden must say to the communist leader. >> plus frank siller will take us inside one of his many comfort homes tunnel to towers is building to combat veteran homelessness. all that coming up. when you're looking for (car engine revs) (engine accelerating) (texting clicks) (tires squeal) (glass shattering) (loose gravel clanking) >> brian: fox news alert, this just in, president biden will meet with chinese president xi next week in san francisco at apex summit. new warning to president biden not to make concessions to the communist party. did he make concessions to get this meeting? this is opportunity to -- to demonstrate seriousness about improving relagrelations. governor of south carolina nikki haley joins us. great to see you couple days after the debate. i want you to react to this meeting. what should be the mindset of this president and what do you think it will be? >> biden has begged for this meeting to try to court the chinese. now they are going to grant him a meeting. what is he going to talk about the in the meeting? fact they have to stop murdering americans by stop fentanyl and build up their military. they have to tell us why they are putting military and spy base in cuba just off our shores. a lot of questions we need to talk about. one thing i can promise will come out, they will have a conversation about the weather and the environment and how they will work together on that. he's not going to call them out on anything else, that is why president xi is willing to meet with him. they don't worry about what he's going to do. we need to end all trade relations with you if you don't stop the fentanyl and we will stop sending over to you, which biden sent 70% of the request last year. we will stop giving millions to our university and strengthen our military and call them out on that spy base and let them know we will hold them accountable. >> brian: when you were governor, seems you were open to having business from china. is it safe to say you evolved on what they became, much like kissinger and bill clinton, we hoped for one thing and got another? >> look, the thing is, every governor in the country has tried to recruit chinese businesses over the last how many years because everybody thought if we're nice to china, they will be like us. ron spent millions against me. 10 years ago i bought a fiberglass company, he does something a month ago, what is his story. we need to take them seriously. i saw it everyday at the un and have fought since my days in the un about the dangers of china and we need to let them know we're on to them. they want to destroy the west, we need to make sure they understand we will not let that happen. >> brian: they are not an economic monster, they are suffering from know croic deflation, too many products for too many people and next generation can't find jobs. there is degree of panic among the dictator who consolidated more power. joe manchin made news that could affect you. listen. >> i've made one of the toughest decisions of my life, i will not run for re-election. is there an to mobilize the middle and bring americans together. >> brian: do you see joe manchin, the democratic moderate running for president? >> listen, the only reason you're hearing about a third party is because 75% of americans don't want rematch between biden and trump. this is all for security because they don't want that. i'm not worried about that, we're moving and sur
