gop presidential primary debate is now in the books. the five candidates talked about banning tik tok, killing cartel members and how they would respond to the abortion debate. the presidential hopefuls spent plenty of time attacking each other and they also attacked the former president who happens to be the current gop front runner. fox coverage, political anchor bret baier will give us his top three moments but we begin with aishah hasnie in miami where nobody was pulling any punches. issue a, good evening. >> reporter: trace, good evening to you. we were warned and told ahead of time that the knives were going to come outen boy did they come out. knives especially held by vivek ramaswamy tonight as he attacked nikki haley over and over again, even getting personal at one point going after her daughter over her daughter's tik tok use. here are some of the most tense moments of the night. >> do you want a leader from a different generation who's going to put this country first or do you want dick cheyney in three-inch heels. >> i wear heels they're not for a fashion snowbelt they're for ammunition. >> ambassador haley said i wasn't doing -- she welcomed them into south carolina, gave them land near a military base, wrote the chinese ambassador a love letter saying what a great friend they were. >> i negotiate wind china and russia the largest set of sanctions against north korea in a generation. that is literally the reason north korea stopped testing ballistic missiles. >> don't lie to people what you said or what you've done in south carolina. >> my entire career is united nations. every day i fought china but on the energy side it cracks me up that ron continues to do this. he has opposed fracking, he's opposed drilling. last time he said it wasn't true and everybody found out that it was true. >> reporter: so, trace, i asked ramaswamy here in the spin room right after why he was going after haley so hard. his answer was because he's afraid she's going to start world war three. now, trace, the entire first hour of the debate was spent on foreign policy starting with the israel war with hamas, what to do about iran, what to do about china and only in the final 20 minutes of this debate did the candidates finally have a chance to tackle abortion which, of course, is that perplexing issue for republicans. >> you've got to work from the bottom up. you've got to do a better job on these referenda. all the stuff that has happened to the pro-life cause they have been caught flatfoot order the referenda. >> we need a 15-week federal limit, three out of four americans agree with the 15-week limit. 47 out of 50 countries in europe agree with a 15-week limit. >> the republicans did not have an alternative amendment or vision on the table. i know i was born raised and lived there, it's representative of the country. >> reporter: now the only candidate not on the stage tonight, the front runner, of course, former president donald trump was holding a counter programming rally just about 30 miles away, and it's really begging the question as those polls continue to show that he is still leading and beating the current president, begs the question, trace, how long do these candidates stick it out and stay in this race despite those polls. i asked ramaswamy about that. he simply said i don't disagree with the former president's policies, i just have younger legs. trace. >> trace: we're doing to talk about that later, aishah hasnie live for us in miami. expert debate analysis from the chief political anchor and host of special report bret baier. bret great to have you on the show as always. issue a was talking about the knives being out. was it mainly nikki haley and vivek ramaswamy or was this across the board in your opinion? >> reporter: there was some across the board. ron desantis and nikki haley, there was some back and forth. the structure of the debate, they didn't go back to someone who was mentioned many times. they kind of went formula. it was a different feel, fewer candidates on the stage so there weren't as many explosive moments and sometimes that's a good thing. but there were explosive moments. one i should mention at the beginning was talking about tik tok and whether they should ban it or notment ramaswamy reflecting back on when nikki haley said that ramaswamy was on tik tok making fun of that. here's his answer. >> well, i want to laugh at why nikki haley didn't answer your question which is about looking at families in the eye. in the last debate she made fun of me for joining tik tok while her own daughter was using the app for a long time so you might want to take care of your family first. >> leave my family out of your voice. >> the next generation is using it. that's actually the point. you have her supporters prepping her up. >> you're just scum. >> reporter: that end part was you're scum. you don't really hear that in debates that often, and you can hear kind of threw the screen the visceral back and forth between candidates. >> trace: you seldom hear that said at a debate. what about chris christie and his take on who should and should not get social security benefits. >> reporter: chris christie it seems like has taken over the role of former vice-president mike pence no longer in this race, dropped out, but talking about social security, medicare entitlements in a way that maybe candidates have not talked about on either party for some time. and there is a void there because it is something you have to turn the aircraft carrier eventually to make it all add up. here's chris christie. >> i've never fortunately in my life ever had me or my family on food stamps but i'm glad it's there so no one in country goes to bed hungry if they have availability to that program but i don't get a direct benefit. the fact is on social security remember why it was established. it was established as a safety net program to make sure that no one would grow old in this country in poverty. that's what we've got to. rich people should not be collecting social security. >> governor could you give mow a specific age? 69, 70, what would the age be. >> that would be a negotiation with congress, kerr step. >> didn't answer neither did other candidates about age and that's an interesting debate going forward. >> as we found out last night abortion appears to still be a liability for republicans. how did the candidates handle that? >> reporter: look what happened in ohio, it. >> greg: the state constitution amended with the protections for abortion. look what happened in virginia request governor glenn youngkin and how republicans talk about abortion is really going to be interesting because it's a huge issue for democrats. nikki haley has, it seems, found a sweet spot here in talking about this in a way that is trying to lift women up and get to consensus. here's what she said. >> so let's find consensus. let's agree on how we can ban late term abortions. let's make sure we encourage adoptions and good quality adoptions. let's make sure we make couldn't exception accessible. let's make sure none of these put a woman in jail or give her the death penalty for getting an abortion. let's save as many babies as we can and support as many moms as we can and stop the judgment. we don't need to divide america over this issue anymore. >> reporter: i think there are a lot of republicans that look at that answer and say that's where republicans should be going forward, see what it takes. i want to point out we managed to get ahold of the rnc chair woman ronna mcdaniel. vivek ramaswamy said she should resign because of what's happened last night and what's happened before. shear here's her answer to ramaswamy. >> reporter: everybody has to get headlines right? i'm going to focus on beating joe biden. i am very proud of the rnc and our staff and the work we've done to win back the house. remember, i am the person who was chair of michigan who flipped that state for the first time in 30 years and am going to continue working hard to beating democrats, and i'm not going to check other republicans. that's a fact. >> reporter: she's not stepping down. one more fun thing and we haven't seen this before. tim scott's girlfriend, mindy, was on the stage at the end of the debate. we got to see her for the first time. the reporters asked, is this the girlfriend? he said yes and they've been dating for about a year. so that mystery is over, and he took her up on stage, took a couple pictures, and there is mindy, tim scott's girlfriend. there you go. it's not people magazine. thought we would wrap it up there. >> trace: close enough for late night television bret, thank you so much for your analysis and for the breakout of mindy. we appreciate that bret, thanks a lot. >> meantime house republicans now upping the ante in their push to go after president biden issuing subpoenas for the president's son and brother to testify before congress. the senior national correspondent kevin corke is live in dc with the latest on the impeachment inquiry. kevin good evening. >> reporter: tough to top that one trace. good to be with you. now these subpoenas are not only just for the president's son and his brother, but also for his sister-in-law, his daughter-in-law, as well as his former daughter-in-law and even her sister. all from the pen of the house oversight committee chair james comer whose investigation into the biden family business dealings continues to expand. but even as the probe tightens a bit around perhaps the president himself, defenders of mr. biden insist this is nothing more than a political witch hunt. >> i mean, we've had nine months of investigation. we've had tens of thousands of documents, suspicious activity reports, hours upon hours upon hours of witnesses. and they don't have anything. >> reporter: and raskin' not alone on his sentiment. attorney abby lowell writing in a statement hunter is eager to have the opportunity in a public forum and at the right time to discuss these matters with the committee. meanwhile, the biden camp is also said to be asking the new house speaker mike johnson to put an end to the litany of investigations to which he said they'll do no such thing. quote, president biden and the white house have repeatedly lied to the american people about his involvement and knowledge of the biden family business dealings, receiving millions through their shell companies from foreign adversaries. we have learned this because of the diligent work of house investigators who will continue to follow the facts where they may lead. one subpoena does call for the president's son to appear at a deposition on december 13th. mark your calendars trace. >> trace: one thing is certain the white house story keeps changing. >> reporter: yes indeed. >> trace: kevin corke live in dc thank you. fox news contributor leslie marshall and cal berkeley professor john yoo welcome both. house oversight chair james comer for clarity is a banker had this to say. watch. >> we've already been very transparent with the american people. we've disclosed four bank memorandums, very specific, very detailed bank memorandums that provide evidence that this family was influence peddling on a scale we've never seen before in america, to the tune of tens of millions of dollars that they took in from our enemies around the world. >> trace: and now john yoo he would like to ask the biden family directly. >> i'm very encouraged to see mr. comer and his staff doing this in a careful, deliberate way. they didn't rush to call these witnesses right away. instead they built a document taker record. remember, we saw that chart where the money came from china through shell companies through individual accounts and then ended up, 10% of it, in joe biden's checking account. >> trace: right. >> that's what you now have to confront the witnesses with and say, under oath are you really going to say that's just paying back a personal loan? under oath did you really earn this money? did you really perform a service for this? or were you really influence peddling? were you really promising to try to influence the united states government and gather information in exchange for that money? there's a big difference between sending people out into the press and making the claim that you were just making money normally and there's nothing to hide here and then saying it under oath under threat of perjury or obstruction of justice before congress. >> trace: yeah, especially when there is very little evidence, in fact no evidence that we have seen of this loan process. hunter biden's attorney, kevin touched on this, abby lowell said this is nothing more than a political stunt but also said quoting, nevertheless, hunter is eager to have the opportunity in a public forum and at the right time to discuss these matters with the committee. man, i would-leslie i would love to see hunter biden jump on the stand and explain his end of this. >> well, apparently he will be. >> trace: i love it. >> i don't think most of us democrats, unlike republicans, ignore subpoenas. even though they're not criminal in nature, it's an investigation from congress, which is, whether people like it or not, because it's not criminal, it is a political investigation. and here are the two things i want to point out. one is, they are going to -- they are definitely going to impeach joe biden. they don't have a reason to impeach joe biden and they're trying to find one but i don't think they will. after yesterday's elections with the exception of one seat in new hampshire democrats did very well in the election yesterday and this is not what the american people want, their tax dollars and time spent on, and that's republicans as well. so i want to thank the republicans for having all these investigations because it's going to help my party in the next election. >> trace: yeah but they have a lot of evidence building against them. to bring this to the border now, here's lindsay graham questioning the dhs secretary on the explosion of the terror watch list suspects. watch. >> there's 280 something people on the terror watch list that we know of. where are they? >> that are the terrorist screening data set. >> where are the people. >> the individuals that we encounter that are the terror screening data. set. >> reporter: are they out of the country. >> are sdmreend are they out of the country or in the country. >> they very well may be out of the country. >> reporter: but you don't know. >> trace: the truth is john knocked knows if they're in or out of the country, no way to vet any of these. nobody knows. >> this is a really, really terrible story for the secretary of the department of homeland security because either he does know and he's stone walling, doesn't want the american people to know where they are, or he has no idea what his department's actually doing. either way these answers he's providing are astounding. trace, you were over in the middle east. this is a time when we have to be actually more vigilant than normal at the border because we know that hamas, iran, would love to slip terrorists into the united states right now. this is when we have to be watching more closely. the fact that the department of homeland security is not aware of where these people are is shocking. >> trace: the same guy whoent waked to build a wall a couple months ago, we need to build a wall. okay. your thoughts leslie. >> two things, first i think it's a stooped question sorry senator graham because nobody in their right mind in the administration is going to say where they are. two, if we know where they are they're not going to be on the watch list they're going to be in custody with one of the nations the looking them down and three not knowing where terrorists are on the watch list is not a seoul joe biden presidency or democrat presidency. >> trace: it's a big part. >> we don't know where the terrorists on the watch list are because if we did they wouldn't be on the list they would be in handcuffs behind bars. >> trace: huge part of the problem more terrorist watch list people in september and october than during the entire trump administration. leslie john thank you both. we appreciate it >> meantime the war in the middle east sparking fierce incident on college campuses across the country, much of it in favor of the palestinians. today the house judiciary committee took a closer look at the issue of free speech on campus and the rise of anti-semitism. matt finn is live with an emotional day on capitol hill. good evening. >> reporter: good evening trace that evening on capitol hill examined free speech violations and the arrive anti-semitism on college campus it was interrupted off the bat by pro palestinian demonstrators. >> we will not be silenced. >> reporter: capitol police say ten protesters were arrested for crowding or obstructing a public building during the how judiciary committee meeting today. the committee was reviewing the first amendment on college campuses. jewish students shared their stories about harassment and anti-semitism. one young woman testifying she's distraught and the anti is really chant from the river to the sea has become common place. >> professors and student organizations have been fueling due hatred and sprigged it across campus with disregard or potentially even with deliberate intent to insight. >> today's meeting calms as anti israeli mars have been going on from here in los angeles to new york and all across the country. some protests leading to violence and assaults and tonight the justice department is now investigating threats against the jewish and arab muslim communities and according to the anti defamation league, since the october 7th terrorist attack there's been a pow four hundred % increase in anti-semitic incidents across the country trace. >> trace: that is a spike. matt thank you. bring in fox news contributor joe concha. great to have you the. nbc news headline about the man killed here in los angeles a couple of days ago, he's an israeli man, he died, you know, this is -- we're talking about at an anti -- or an anti-semitic rally. and the headline says man dies after hitting dead during israel and palestinian flaels california officials say followed by the rolling stone headline that says this, young activist to joe bidenen change course on gaza or lose in 2024. both of these headlines, it's amazing how the media is just so eager, right, so eager to take a hit and a swing at israel and so red sent to say anything negative about hamas. >> air not alone in that perception trace. a palpable anti israel tone among many news organizations examples to high to count. man dies after hitting head after israeli and palestinian rallies in california? that man, you might want to next the headline was elderly and jewish. he didn't fall down a flight of stairs during a pro palestinian rally and died. multiple witnesses say he was hit in the head with a microphone and it was a homicide due to blunt force trauma to the head, according to local officials. we also saw with the hospital bombing in gaza a few weeks ago where israel was blamed, where hundreds were reported killed. how anybody can get that kind of information out of a war zone that quickly, our news organizations should have been like wait how do you have that snobol hamas is telling you that and you're believing them. like believing al qaeda after 9/11. this cannot continue stressed crazy. meantime i want to say the biden campaign is now complaining sending notes out to me complaining about the disparity in polling coverage, right? quoting here, despite the hair on fire sky is falling tone we've seen from media coverage over the last few days, political predictions more than a year out tend to look a little different a year later. so they're saying, the polls don't matter. but if you're going to put polls up
