>> trey: great question and that interview was illuminated and shows they may be planning something else. they are likely to hold territory in the gaza strip until they are able to stabilize the security situation inside gaza then there could be other outside actors or palestinian authority that get involved to try to determine who will rule the gaza strip after hamas. it is incredibly challenging scenario for israel, if they occupy gaza, they have done this in the past and it is challenging to do. there are more than million palestinians inside gaza. we saw the gaza strip from the inside and many homes are destroyed and they have nowhere to return to. you have major humanitarian crisis developing and it is something that will last for years, there will be revoting efforts that need to go on. >> carley: a lot of unknown and a lot of concern still hanging over this entire situation, one month into the brutal war. trey yingst live in southern israel. another element of the story has to do with u.s. bases in iraq and syria, they have come under attack 10 times since thursday and 38 times since october 7th. >> todd: jonathan hunt. >> jonathan: there is no sign of number of attack against u.s. forces in iraq and syria. slowing down 10 attacks happened since thursday, bringing in last three weeks, the number of total attacks against u.s. forces to 38 across this entire region. mainly against u.s. forces stationed in iraq and syria. point out here those 10 since thursday, majority happened and may be no coincidence while secretary of state blinken was in the region meeting with the prime minister netanyahu. he met with palestinian president mahmoud abbas in the west bank and went on to talk to the turkish foreign minister. i think it is significant that he was here and his presence did nothing to stop attacks. perhaps attacks were deliberately timed to coincide with his visit here. large number of forces act as deterrence. we know the u.s.s. eisenhower is in the region and we got this picture over the weekend from central command of u.s. nuclear powered subthat is being sent to the region. the u.s. is trying to send a strong message of deterrence, that is aimed at iran, iran controls forces and groups sending rockets to attack in iraq and syria so the message from the u.s. to iran is do not go any further. it is having some effect, it seems in hezbollah for instance iranian-backed group has not decided to enter the war fully, it is lobbing rockets across at israel and clearly holding back to some extent so deterrence may be helping to some extent. >> carley: jonathan, thank you tomp a concerning story out of california. a jewish man is dead after a physical altercation with a pro-palestinian protester, his death is ruled a homicide and we'll tell you what police are saying about potential hate crime charges. >> todd: plus, government censorship in run-up to the 2024 election. jim jordans he has secret reports all americans need to see, showing them to you, don't go anywhere.
