>> welcome to jesse waters prime time. i'm rachel campos-duffy in for jesse, who'st in at an event in california. it's no secret biden's tryingen. desperately to rebrand himself as a wartime app president with his approval ratings at record lows and biden nomics not workin g, war is all biden has to campaign on, and biden knows it's history. presidents in the middle of war do better in the polls liken george w bush and lyndon johnson, who breezed their way to reelection. but if biden wants to beo be a wartime president, he's going to have to demonstrate that he understands the complexitiesrst of war. t co >> is this the most complicated time of your presidency so far? thank you so much. thank you. nothing to it.orld >> you can't say nothing to itod when the world is on the brink of world war three. joe, we've never been g more vulnerable. our military bases are getting attackedetting . d record numbers of islamist and chinese are pouring throug h our open border and protesters are filling our streets. >> instead of being in the situation room, joe bidenast ni is spending his time at fundraisers where last nighgt he was heckled. >> president oh my god, do keep going around. >> i need you to call for a ceasefire right now. and it didn't take long forbide joe biden n to pander.caught o biden, whose response wasn'tme caught on camerara, said, i thik we need to pause. i'm the guy that convincedguy te of call for a cease fire, to let the prisoners out. of course, just hours later, the white house had to walk it h back. >> i just want to be fully clear that. so when the president said last night that he convinced prime minister netanyahu to do a ceathem te fire, he was referg to the two americans that got out. el hasbut israel has never acknowledged that they pause in order to be able to get folky cas out. you got to make sure they can do it safely. and that's what the president was referrin to g to. >> so was this another biden gaffe or does the president want a cease fire to get hostages out aid toand aid to innocent civi? joe biden is in a bind. his base wants a cease fire.s wa his war room doesn't. muslim-americans and the democrat youth boat are already threateniny ing to vg to vote at biden because of support to israel. y doeswhy does this matter? well, muslims make up a large chunk of the voter base in swing states, places like arizona, georgia, michigan. these are states that bidenly wn barely won in 2020. the white house knows this. that's why joe and kamala have announced a new strategy to fighto get this islamophobi. >> four years muslims in america and those perceived to be muslim have endured a disproportionate number of hatnumber oe fueled attacks a result of the hamas terrorist attack in israel and the humanitarian crisis in gaza. and so today, i am proud to announce the biden-harris nat administration will develop our nation's first national strategy to counter islamophobia. >> the white house says they take hate seriously. >> this is a very genuine effort on behalf of th president, the vice president, the entire administration,d enti to to plant a marker about how he has no business here in the united states, particularly hate that can lead to real l lencthreats of violence againt muslim community, community, the arab community, palestinian community. we take that seriously. >> but i don't think that the white house does take it seriously in 2022. the fbi recorded 1256 anti-jewish hate crimes versus . only 158 anti-muslim since the war broke out, there's been a 400% rise in anti-semitic attacktacks ins in the united sh and jewish college students say they have neveave r felt more threatened and unsafe as they do at this very moment . >> so what's biden and the fbi doing about it? ey'rthey're focusingey'r on islamophobia. they're going after traditionael latin mass catholics. and they're weaponizing the fbi to go afte gtedmas r grandmas fs january 6th. yesterday, a resolutio putn wast forward to censure congressmen to leave for anti-semitism, lea sympathizing with terrorists and leading an insurrection at the us capitol. but the resolution put forward c by marjorie taylor greenapitole failed after 20 republicans joined democratsat to kill it. one of those republicans, thomas massie from kentuckroy, he joins us now. >> congressman, so greatman, to hav so e you on. b >> so explain to us whyasis you voted to table or basicallys kill this resolution. >> well, there are a couple reasons. on , speecnumber one, free speecht just about protecting the speech l that you like. it's especially about protecting the speech you don't liketh. and i think the protest was an o expression of speech. nothatw, the other reason that i voted against this resolution, it was the languagaftee was modd against after a resolution that i voted against two yearsts ago that calls calls the january 6 protesters insurrectionists. i think it's wrong to call the januarhey six protesters insurrectionists, and i think it's wrong to call the people that were with rashida to insurrectionists. tlaiso those were my two reasons for voting against it. >> yeah, and i agree with you on free speech. i ageee that neither of thes were actually insurrections. howen s, i think the the reaso why marjorie taylor greene put forward this resolution is that she was using the sameg th wor i that were used against january 6. and so she's saying, shouldn't those worduldn't those s apply to democrats as well? as you know, there was a congressman from pennsylvania who was accused of collaborating with january six protestersole and the fbi went after him. they actually stolors e or tookf his phone in front of his family and confiscatedis it. you so i think this was sorts of like, you know, how do you end this if notdest with mutually assured destruction? what's your what'srun. get our take on that? because it just seems like the democrats get away away wityswith everything and tt you guys play, you know, by the constitution and, you know, itd she' just doesn't seem fair. >> well, listen, marjorie is ast good friend of mine, and she certainly within her rights to introduce this resolution, i wish had been worded differently. and they came after her to thtions your point, rachel. they came after marjorie an herwith resolutions and they kicked her off her committees. so, you know, it's definitely within her prerogative to do this. somebody'ssomeo stop the got to stop it, though. we've got to get back to normal. i meanre are peoplo s to, i know there are peopler who would like us to do kung fuf fighting on the floo ther of the house of representatives. and we may not be far from it. but o tai would like to take it down. the tone down just a little bit so that we can solve some of america's problems. >> yeah, i'm up for kung fu fighting congressman on reallyyt quick. how worried are you that the heaeconflict in israel is goingm to expand and possiblyan leadou to world war three? >> i mean, this is a dangerous moment. wellmon if, i'm worried about i. and even if it's a 1% chance of world war three or going nuclear and expanding like i believe in ukraine, there's at least a 1% chance of that. >> it's -- it's our jobhat we in congress to the extent that we can to contain this conflict and not to expand it. i wouldn't want it, forts instance, to see us attack iran. i hope this gets settled there in gaza and not expand to other territories, because that's how you get a world war three is, you know, countries come in one, two and three at a time and join the conflict. >> yeah, we need to really thoughtful leaders at this time. i'm not sure we have them at the ver the top ay top at thr it's -- it's very distressing. congcongressman massie, thank you for joining us this evening. appreciate it. thanks thanks,, rachel. you got it. all right. well, america is stretched too we. middle we're fighting proxy wars in ukraine and the middle east, th end in sighte as long as biden is president. these wars will go on trapping h our precious resources halfway around the worldalaround t. this year, america was running low on ammo after we sent millions of rounds to ukraine with no way of tracking where it went. we thon't know how much was stolen. now america is on the hook for lonethe new conflict in the mide east, and there's no telling how long this wangr will dragn e on for any sane person can seed that america is overextended and broke. broke.just as alarming is that e have taken our eye off the ball . we're not paying attention to our biggest global adversar y ,china. china is loving all of this. dem they're on the sidelines plotting our demise. last night, china sent dozens of warplanes into taiwanese airspace. they're antagonizing us. china knows if it sparks a war with taiwan. america is in a weak position and will be reluctant to engage in three proxy wars. biden's response is to brat hog about how we have even more and bigger nukes bring us even would closer to the brink of world war three, which would be catastrophistrophicc not jus america, but for the world. we're trappein ad in a strategic disaster, and the war machine revv up.ng where are our international strategic thinkers and and diplomats before it's too late? gordon chang is is a senior few at the gates stone institute and the author of the coming collapsetone of china. gordon, thank you for joining us tonight. let's just get right to it.is how dangerous is this moment that we're living in right now? >> this is an extremely das moment, rachel. you know, we talk about world war three. we could very welliii. be in it because if we go back to the 1930s, there were separate war9 that eventually merged into the second world war. we're seeing t the same thing nw because china in proxy warste is goingr the after the united states and our friends and allies. and as you point out could , they could very well start something in east asia as well. remember , we have got wars ornd chaos in europe in africas ca and in asia, the middle east. and so this ca andn spread and t probably will spread because biden has shown weaknessness.. >> yeah, i mean, that's not counting latin america. they're in our hemispherthe making massive advances. i meane war in, the the war in , to me, gordon, seemed it seemed very predictablethat i that it e bring russia and china closer together. ird now that bw we know that bee of oil and the energy situation ,now iran is closer than they've ever been to china as well. allia >> what does this new alliance f what do these new alliances meanor ame for america? l what can we do? and how would you advise our leaders at thiea s moment? cked yeah, this alliance, which is backed by russia, i meanko by china. and it has russia, iran, north korea, perhapsrea,ps algeria in. this has been in existence for wash tim.e. and unfortunately, we have a political establishment d toin washington that has refud to acknowledge what's going on. y thati think the way that you deal with this is you have a victorviy. essent you do that, you stop essentially, china fromryin creating this aura of invincibility. china is trying to encircle the united states with these proxy wars and this is sortof of goes back to mao zedong. xi jinping, the current ruler of china, is a mao admirera and he's taking a page outwith of mao's playbook. we know how to deal with thi th we've done it before. we can do it again. except that biden right now is failing to understand the gravity of the situation and is failing wit to understandg -- how to deal with this. >> are you seeing, victor, in ukraine really quick? i'vee just just a couple secondss impo left. >> yeah, ukraine is importanrtaa because if we allow russia to take ukraine, then russia can divert those resources that would use in ukraine against, for instance, japan, wat because russia has made it very clear it wants the northern isjapanese islands and it gives china this sense that they are inevitable. 're not.they're not. but we can't let them createpres that impression. sion well, it looks like we're losing in ukraine right now. >> gordon chansh yg, i wishmayb you were advising the biden administration right now. maybe no ut on ukraine, but certainly on the threat of china, which you have been prescient on. >> thank you for joining us tonight. than thank yk you, rachel. >> you got it. everyonthane. >> all right. let's go to kelly o'grady, who is at the courthouse with the latest. kelly, help us break this down . >> sure. so, rachel, first, i have rea to start by sayingched the juryi reached this verdictct d deliberating only four and aa go half hours. you know, that is never a goodmo sign for the defendant. for some context, even hee bernie madoff triaitl, it took them four days to reach a verdict. now he has been convicted on all seven counts of fraud, mone y laundering, conspiracy. a right now, he is facing up to 110 years in prison. that doesn't mean he will necessarily get 110 years, but that is the maximum eesentence for the charges he's been convicted on. he will have a sentencing28 that is scheduled now for march 28th. now, remember, mber he ha he hadl revoked. so right now he has been behind bars during this entire trial and the period leading up to it. so wwe have noe have not confir he will remain behind bars. but if the status quo remains, he would until march, that sentencing date. i also want to highlightt sent e is another trial scheduled forrd march 11th. the government has not confirmed whether they plawhetht to go forward with that or not. i mean, realistically, he was just convicted on all of these charges. so they will certainly have to considelle r whetherthere they continue pursuing that case. but there are a couplearcouple u of things that i want to frame up for you color inside the courtroom. jury d he did not look at the jury orkt rather he looked at the jury, but the jury did not look at him when they were walking into the courtroom. he was stoichad , had no emotion when the verdict was read. but his parents s, his mom had s her head in her hands. his dad was hunched over s potet hearing the verdict, knowing that this now impacts potentiarl the rest of their son's life. and, you know, we were all wondering what he'd testify and what would that look like. and frome th being inside the courtroom, our producer giving me the colot coulr that d have been the nail in the coffin, because you start to see him bankman-fried on the stand, one that was happy to answer questions when it was his own friendlestioniny questioning from defense and one who couldn't remember anything. and mitt said that couldn't provide answers to simple questions. quess. and so, so many legal experts, rachel, that i've talked to in these types of cases say it comes down to credibility. sses, hihe had three witnesses, his inner circle testifying t him. and so the question for the jury became, who do you believbecame, o do youe, sad or these three peopleplea who have pled guilty to fraud? now, i will close by saying this. this is actually, rachel, the one year anniversaryar2n of when everything started. t yeso november 2nd of lastt year was when an article came out that started rumblings of was there something sinister goinftx?g on at ftc's? a few days later, they had filed for bankruptcy. nofor w, one year later, samuilt bankman-fried heard a verdict of guilt y on that same day. back to you. you know, kelly, you talkeedd about the impact that these charges will have on his life,n but talk to us a little bit about the impact that sam bankman-fried had on the 2020ecn election. it's a great point that you bring up, rachel, and it's thesomething the prosecution ud to prove out their case of fraud. so he was behind george soros,nh the biggest democratic donor in the 20, or rather in the 2022 midterm election. he also o donated over $5 millii to president biden's campaigng during the 2020 election. was n accused. finan he was not charged in this case of violating campaign finance lawsaws., so f
