breaking tonight, hamas is blinking? well perhaps. earlier today two elderly hostages were released. one 79, the other 85. now tears of joy for sure but still they claim one quarter of their community is either murdered, missing or was abducted. more details on that in moments. also tonight we're going to talk to one muslim scholar who viewed raw footage of all the horrors, murder, torture, all of it that was committed by hamas. plus a survivor of the festival attack, her startling assessment of america's rising anti-semitism later in the show. we are also learning more about other atrocities the terrorists planned to carry out, cyanide bombs reportedly coming from al qaeda. fox's lucas tomlinson is standing by. what can you tell us? >> reporter: laura, moments ago a helicopter delivered the hostages released from hamas to a hospital here in tel aviv. what's striking one of the hospitals used to volunteer to drive palestinians into israel for better medical care. israeli defense minister toured a navy base today telling his forces to prepare to assault gaza saying it will come soon. earlier today an air force strike killed five commanders in israel. supreme court forces vowed to hunt down and kill all responsible for the massacre. a special unit has been formed to carry out the mission. overthe weekend israeli force carried out a rare strike in the west bank followed by a raid by the internal security agency what i they said foiled a terrorist plot in the west bank. the idf said the mosque contained hamas islamic jihad operatives organizing a quote imminent terror attack. of course, joining the 200 israeli hostages in gaza are ten americans that john kirby says are not just missing but are presumed to be hostages in gaza tonight. laura? >> laura: lucas, thank you very much. be careful out there, my friend. we've also seen over the course of the last few days an uptick in rocket and drone attacks by iranian backed proxy groups against military bases housing military personnel in iraq an syria we know iran's goal is to maintain deniability here but we're not gonna allow them to do that. >> laura: that lavender tie scares people. tough words. is anyone taking the biden white house seriously? why should they after they thought it was a good idea to trust iran with billions for that prisoner release earlier this year. ridiculous. joining me now the former ambassador at large and counter territory coordinator under trump. nathan, let's start with you. knowing who's leading us in this time of international peril, what are our options here? >> i think the only option is the option that works, and that is peace through strength. we need to show iran that they have a lot more to lose by poking at us than they have to gain. and unfortunately, what we heard from the administration is tough talk but not a whole lot of action to match those words. in the past week i think we've seen eight, honestly laura, i have lost track of how many, about eight attacks by iranian proxies on american forces. one actually resulted in the death of a u.s. civilian contractor. and the response has been tough talk but no action. that is not going to scare iran off. if we want to avoid being drawn into a major conflict in the middle east, the best way to accomplish that is to demonstrate strength to iran so that they decide they're going to sit this one out on the sidelines. >> laura: richard, the biden team gave what seemed to be conflicting answers over the last 24 hours or so about this threat of an escalation. watch this. >> we are concerned. in fact, we expect that there's a likelihood of escalation. escalation by iranian proxies directed against our forces, directed against our personnel. >> right now we don't see an indication that a major player is willing to escalate in a major way. >> laura: they're clearly at odds with each other here. what kind of message does that send, richard? >> we see nothing but mixed signals. on the one hand they say they are moving more ships into the area to deter iran. we still have billions of dollars being made available to iran not just in qatar, the $6 billion but $10 billion that was made available previously. we are also seeing oil shipments go from iran to china. nothing to crack down on those. you start leaking over the weekend, the new york time, we're going to constrain israel, we don't want escalation. who is the party that's afraid? is it iran or the united states? you could say we are trying to deter but as nathan just said, when you don't even respond when your forces are coming under attack and you are signaling sanctions relief will continue, who's being deterred here? it's not the iranians. it's us. >> laura: one thing, nathan, that we saw today, axis did a big scoop about a marine three star is in israel advising the military there on the ground operations in gaza. now is that something we should be applauding in the united states or given again the track record of this leadership, with what we saw in afghanistan, is this going to make us feel better or is this a dangerous game that's being played? >> well, laura, i think in this case the military deserves the benefit of the doubt. the cooperation between the united states and israel is first rate, particularly when it comes to counter terrorism. i want our intelligence community, i want our military professionals to be talking to the israeli counter parts to help them meet their objective going into gaza to eradicate hamas. now, it's more difficult for them to do better jobs when they hear conflicting signals coming out of the white house. on one hand the white house says we support israel. on the other hand, there are stories about how the white house is trying to slow roll the israelis, delay the on set of the offensive in gaza. that is sending confusing signals to our allies. but just as importantly, it's sending confusing signals to iran. iran is going to try and exploit that to our detriment. >> laura: richard i want to play a sound bite from lindsay graham who has been probably the biggest war hawk out there on what's happening in the middle east and his comments yesterday. >> we are here today to tell iran we're watching you. if this war arose, it's coming to your back yard. there won't be two fronts, there will be three. if there's an effort to unleash hezbollah on the jewish state to destroy it, my pitch will be to tehran. the innocent hostages get slaughtered, i hold you, iran, accountable because you could stop it if you chose to. >> laura: richard, we all want the hostages released immediately. we want israel to be protected and israel to be as strong and democratic as ever. lindsey graham is not the pentagon chief, nor is he working in the executive branch. this is very confusing for people writing this that lindsay graham is writing our military policy. maybe that's a good thing. but your thoughts on that. >> i think we're doing a lot of showing, a lot of telling and not showing. usually israel and the united states are good at show instead of tell. in other words, we don't want to just have rhetoric. we don't want to just say, we're gonna beat you if you do that. you are hearing that out of the israelis and americans. how about we actually respond when our bases are attacked? how about we snap back the security council resolution to restore the embargo the president allowed to expire last week? how about you stop the billions of dollars from flowing to tehran? i don't want to keep talking about conflict in military. i want to restore deterrence. >> laura: nathan, meanwhile we have the hostage negotiations which again i'm going to get into this in the angle in a little bit. to me, again, we seem like back benchers. when we really either should be really involved and it should be scary to the other side or we should let israel do what israel does best, frankly. >> that's right. we know that iran does not lash out in the face of american strength. what we have seen time and again is that iran escalates in response to american weakness. going back to the trump administration, we drew a red line, one that unlike our predecessor, we enforced. we said to iran, if you harm an american, if you kill an american, we're going to make you pay. that's what president trump did when he ordered the removal of a terrorist who had the blood of 603 american soldiers on his hands. how did iran respond? we didn't see world war iii break out. we didn't see further escalation from iran. they launched a couple missiles then meekly went back to their corner. there's a lesson there. strength deters iran and weakness is provocative. >> laura: none of this was happening under trump. thank you. remember when america was told that when biden got elected, it meant the adults were back in charge. we knew that was all a crock at the time. now we see conflict spilling over around the globe. how's it all looking now? my angle in minutes. to duckduckgo on all your devie duckduckgo comes with a built-n engine like google, but it's pi and doesn't spy on your searchs and duckduckgo lets you browse like chrome, but it blocks cooi and creepy ads that follow youa from google and other companie. and there's no catch. it's fre. we make money from ads, but they don't follow you aroud join the millions of people taking back their privacy by downloading duckduckgo on all your devices today. >> laura: biden over a barrel. that's the focus of tonight's angle. troops meet consequences. the president is drowning in a sea of crises, most of which are of his own making. because when america is weak, our enemies are on the move. the results make for a more dangerous and unsettled world and an america that is more divided and disillusioned. i was 16 years old when the carter years happened and americans were taken hostage in iran. like now that happened during another weak u.s. presidency when america was demoralized and crippled economically. our enemies saw it and took advantage of the moment. and now another despicable islamic force holds hostages, including some americans, using them at bargaining chips and releasing a few here and there to show goodwill, as if that's going to somehow negate is slaughter of innocent civilians on october 7th. the sad truth is this. with biden as commander in chief, america is neither feared nor respected. >> it is truly an hour by hour effort here at the white house and the state department to find out where these folks are and to try to make the effort to get them out, to get them back. we still have about ten unaccounted for americans. it's not exactly clear to us where those ten people are. >> laura: that's reassuring. a pillar of strength from the white house. why is he revealing what they know and don't know about the hostages? it's total amateur hour. the world knows it, too. anyone notice what's happening in the south china sea? they just rammed a philippine ship. the u.s. government responded by issuing a state charging that china had violated international law by intentionally interfering with the philippines exercise of high seas freedom of navigation. i'm sure president xi is sweating that one. the fact is just as the angle preteubgted, china and russia and iran are all taking advantage of the fact that biden is a weak president presiding over a weakened america. american voters, i mean, can't blame them, they're rightly nervous. more are seeing this biden era is what it is, a slow moving train wreck. >> i want to thank chuck shumer and senator todd young, representative -- excuse me representative joe morelli and susan ward. >> laura: those names can get very confusing. the fundamental problems facing the biden administration, they don't have anything to do with donald trump or speaker race or anyone in the gop at all. their problems result from the fact that america is getting poorer and weaker. they have no clue, or maybe no desire to change that fact. so their only response is, let's keep borrowing money to keep the war machine going. >> history has taught us when terrorists don't pay a price for their terror, when dictators don't pay a price for their aggression, they cause more chaos and death and more destruction. they keep going and the cost and threats to america and the world keep rising. >> laura: well that's true. because it's true, biden should have made sure that america was in a stronger position before this storm hit. that's not what he did. instead he and the democrats and some republican senators spent money on things that we didn't need and frankly no one voted for. in addition climate boondogles, more pandemic foolishness. an infrastructure bill that some claim only spends 17%, 18% on infrastructure like roads and bridges. it was all a lie. after we've already spent $110 billion for a standoff essentially in ukraine, biden is acting like another $100 billion will cause, what? our enemies to back off? just look at these dollar amounts. for ukraine that's $60 billion, $30 billion in direct military aid mostly restocking u.s. weapons sent to kyiv and billions more in humanitarian aid and just a pittance for our own border, maybe spent on better iphones for the migrants. if it were true that $100 billion would turn the tide, then, yes, it would all be worth it. but instead, with these people in charge, it's like pumping air into a leaky tire. unless you really get it plugged or fixed it's going to go flat. the problem is we need real structural change. fix the military, strengthen the economy, develop a serious plan to manage the debt we already have. but we can't wait for that. i know what you're saying. the establishment will always say that. there's no time, we got to do this now. to that i say, making policy decision on an emergency basis has been a recipe for failure. look at it. since 9/11 washington has borrowed money at an obscene rate and has never developed a serious plan to dig our way out of it. we can't do all of the same policies that we've done before and expect different results. so now, welsh biden is seeing the world as it really is when america is growing weaker. china is moving closer to taking taiwan, russia's still in ukraine. now our closest ally, israel, is under siege. of course, iran is emboldened. it would be great if america would be like bruce lee and able to fight several forces at one time. god i loved him. that would be nice. because we haven't kept ourselves in better shape, our options are few and limited. a company that's $33 trillion in debt is going to have limited financial power. a country that has a military run by woke activists is going to have limited military power. a country that spent two generations teaching our young people to teach our founding and our entire example, that's going to have limited cultural power. look at our streets over the weekend. finally biden is seeing the consequences of a weakened america. they still don't propose to make any changes in policy or in personnel. let's not forget biden still uses the doj to prosecute its political opponents. the maga movement is a dire threat to democracy. how many times have we heard that? now he wants those same taxpayers to answer those calls to open their wallets as he staggers from failure to failure. fanatic and incompetence. the biden team won't change their policy ors personnel. knowing this why would republicans keep playing along and driving us further into debt? do they really think voters in swing states are going to reward them by doing that? the best way to support our allies is to strengthen america, re reinvigorate our patriotism. that's the angle. joining me victor chance. victor, america is being played because we're weak economically and culturally. to that point, a poll earlier this summer found only 18% of people ages 18-34 say they are extremely proud or proud to be american. that figure was 85%. is there going to be a rally around the flag moment with this culture? >> no, because young people see all the advantages of being anti-american. that's the culture at colleges in the media. they feel they adapt to it rather than reject it and be patriotic, then they'll benefit. you mentioned deterrence. you can't achieve deterrence by talking loudly and frequently and carrying a twig. it's only seldomly and quietly with a club. if you want hezbollah to enter and iran to enter this fray, then you will restrict israel and will tell the world that israel, even the most unimaginable crime of butchering 1,000 jews have no consequences, or you will be antony blinken on a fake story about an israeli attack on a hospital, you order or suggest embassies in the middle east will lower their flags half-mast. or give around $6 billion, or give hamas basically another $100 million after restoring aid in general to the palestinians. all of that will encourage hezbollah and iran to go in on the premise of, look at these westerners and israel. even when we do this to them, the unimaginable, subhuman, they still won't react. they will be encouraged to do something stupid. you're right about deterrence. it's your border, national unity. when you start to lose that and you compound it with a military short of recruit, politicized military, afghanistan, the chinese balloon, biden saying he wouldn't react in ukraine if it was a minor offensive. that's all force phrult tp multiplying each other. even in nadir we have the power to destroy both. we don't want to do that. they may miscalculate and think otherwise given our current state. that's very dangerous. >> laura: that's a concern. >> you want peace, let the israelis take care of hamas. >> laura: victor, that is a concern, china sending power to the region. obviously we have a presence there. iran is clearly it looks like on the move. so the opportunity for a mistake to cause a major world changing event in the middle east is real and i'm sorry, given what they did in afghanistan, given what they are doing to our recruits and our faith in the system, i frankly don't have a lot of faith in them. i really don't. >> you're absolutely right. because you see what china is trying to do, see the vacuum of leadership and power. it wants to replay the role in the cold war thinking we want to be the patron and contest the allies of the united states and the united states eutsz and they will think they can rely on our power to deter the united states and get a free hand. that's why it's very important to stand up to china and say, you're not going to be the patron of these murderous thugs. yet china's got the opposite impression because of our appeasement and mollification. it's the 11th hour. we can still restore it but we have to make a radical shift in our political leadership. >> laura: current jack keane was asked an important question about the war around the world. watch this. >> why aren't we doing a better job preventing these wars in the first place? >> our goal has always been a prosperous middle east, peaceful middle east. we bring our allies and partners together. that doesn't stop. but at the same time, right, russia is going to invade ukraine, we have to be there for ukraine. >> laura: that's an excellent question. they were supposed to be the adults in charge, the force of sanity. trump was going to blow up the world. now look at the world. >> laura: they don't understand human nature. when you are unpredictable and you are scary, that's civilized. when you're predictably weak that's uncivilized. that's what they're doing. they're so self-righteous and think they have such a superior moralee they don't understand they are abjectly immoral. israel needs to strike back at hamas. >> laura: now looks like hamas gets to buy sometime by playing the good guy and releasing these hostages. can't make this up. victor, thank you. coming up an american survivor from that horrific massacre at the israeli music festival. her comments after she's seen these pro hamas protests across our country. she's next. you don't want to miss it. this is a special alert. israel is under attack and israel's enemies seek our destruction. the people of israel need immediate help. rockets have us squarely in the crosshairs. our people are targets in their own homes. many have lost everything and fear for their lives. the international fellowship of christians and jews has launched an urgent response to rescue those affected by this violent attack. our teams are on the ground across israel delivering lifesaving aid. your urgently needed gift of only $45 will help rush food, water, medicine and emergency supplies for jewish families that have nowhere to turn. time is literally running out. what we need you to do is to act now. [ protests ] >> laura: now those scenes remind us that here in the united states there are, lord knows how many people, tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands more. people who truly believe hamas is getting a bad rap. they're freedom fighters. joining me is nathalie. just over two weeks ago she spent hours fleeing the scene of that music festival massacre. thank you for sharing your story tonight. you've seen the protests in america, chants of supporting the intifada. what's your take away? >> as if it wasn't enough to have to go through that attack in israel, to come back to new york that's been my home my entire life and to see all these protests and to see people calling for genocide of the jews, and to see so many misinformed people in the streets thinking hamas is for the palestinian people. hamas' agenda is to free palestine. it makes me sad and scared. >> laura: now, i read somewhere that you felt like you were safer in the middle east, or in israel than moments here in the united states? explain that. >> as someone who comes from a family -- my parents, my father is iranian. they fled iran. they fled persecution and either went to the u.s. or israel. israel, after the holocaust, was given back to the jewish people as their home. for a long time, a lot of jews called the u.s. their home. but recently, i fear the lone wolf attacks that are happening here. i did go through a very serious trauma and attack in israel, but i feel more protected in israel than i feel here at the moment. i don't feel enough people are taking these protests and these lone wolf attacks seriously. >> laura: the anti-semitism on college campuses is something we've been reporting on for years. the radicalism. it's embedded with anti-americanism as well. it's been encouraged, nurtured and fed by a lot of big corporations that wrote checks to universities as kind of a blind eye. speak to that given the scenes at some of our most prestigious schools. >> obviously, i can see that though a lot of these people at the protests are, quote unquote, well educated. people from very big universities. they're obviously very much misinformed. it's unfortunate that a lot of people just believe whatever they read online. for example, after the headline that the idf had sent that rocket towards the hospital in gaza and all these news channels automatically broadcasted that. everyone saw how many protests broke out against israel. once some of them corrected themselves and stated that it was the islamic jihad that sent that rocket, i didn't see any protests against islamic jihad. >> laura: we also had sitting congress men and women refusing to correct themselves and in a way egging the protesters on. >> this is part of the reason why i feel unsafe is because i have seen a lot of patterns that we saw before the holocaust. part of what happened before the holocaust was a lot of fake news and propaganda against the jews. i am seeing that today as well. >> laura: denial. denial of what the actual truth is. natalie, thank you for speaking out. we really appreciate it. is joe biden trying to stop israel's ground invasion of gaza? trace gallagher joins with us that. plus how european capitals might provide a lesson for us in america. this she■s a hero moment. even today, only a quarter of stem graduates are women. they'd go, oh, you don't look like an engineer. >> eve there is this preconception. some things are for boys. but diversity drives innovation. my goal is to really flip the script. pick something that you love and go for it. how do we live in space? how do we live on the moon? i want to help figure that out. you can create the blueprint. if you can see her, you can be her. here's why you should switch fo to duckduckgo on all your devie duckduckgo comes with a built n engine like google, but it's pi and doesn't spy on your searchs and duckduckgo lets you browse like chrome, but it blocks cooi and creepy ads that follow youa from google and other companie. and there's no catch, it's fre. we make money from ads, but they don't follow you aroud join the millions of people taking back their privacy by downloading duckduckgo on all your devices today. >> are you exchanging hostages for a cease fire deal? >> laura: well, of course we need the hostages released. which is it, joe? are you pushing for a cease fire or just trying to stop israel from going in? chief breaking news correspondent trace gallagher is live from jerusalem tonight with all the details. trace, we are learning tonight the white house is urging israel to delay their ground invasion into gaza. what are you hearing? >> reporter: that's right. you just heard the last question there, laura, because that's where it gets conflated. he's talking about a cease fire saying, no, no, we want to get the hostages out then we'll talk about a cease fire. then john kirby came on and said, we don't think there should be a cease fire because israel has the right to defend itself but nobody will answer the question about whether or not they want a ground war because they believe a ground war would open up a new front in another part of the country likely in lebanon, and that would be a bad thing. the problem here is the media and everybody else now conflating this whole idea of a cease fire and a ground war and they're very separate things. the administration wants israel to keep shooting from the sky and maybe from the sea, but not on the ground. israel wants to go in on the ground, laura, because they believe that's the only way they are going to truly topple hamas. >> laura: trace, what can you tell us tonight about the rockets going into israel today? >> that was a big deal because one of the rockets hit a town in northern israel, about 22,000. that's where we were back in 2006. we were based there when hezbollah was shooting all of those rockets into northern israel in the 31-day war. a rocket hit there today. a lot of people are evacuated. it's a big deal. it came from a military base inside lebanon. israel struck that military base and we believe took it out. it's a little bit of an escalation. nobody harmed in israel because the town was evacuated, but it's a little bit more of an escalation. that's what happens. if that ground war begins in the next day or two or three, the worry is that the hezbollah fighters from the north will be rapid fire and all of a sudden you have two fronts in this war. going back to our lead topic there, then the administration is in a bit of a pickle. that's where the united states likely might get much more involved. >> laura: yeah. well biden's comments about the cease fire has a lot of headlines blaring tonight about how if all the hostages are released there will be a cease fire. it's everywhere. trace, thank you so much. great seeing you. [ protesters ] >> free palestine! free free palestine! >> laura: muslims across europe have been unequivocal in their support to what hamas did to thousands of israelis. in some cases protesters are even seen waving what appears to be jihadi flags. one muslim scholar has been urging leaders to condemn this. even went to israel herself to see evidence of these atrocities first hand. joining me live from israel dr. conta ahmed. thank you for joining us. we'll get into what you're learning on the ground in a moment, but first your reaction to these protests in the european capital. >> it's utterly devastating. imagine the same protests in reaction to the atrocities isis committed to the kurdish people. i understand the politics related to palestine but what hamas has perpetrated is a crime against humanity. we keep describing this conflict using the language of conventional war. genocide has been committed. i have witnessed the remnants of genocide and the homes in which they were committed in the kubbitz. i have talked to survivors that were defending themselves, their neighbors from multiple terrorists. tragically, also from hundreds, if not thousands, of civilians as well from gaza that came repeatedly. i have met with children that were terrorized by this. today i was in a 43-minute movie shown privately to the international press here in israel. the atrocities are beyond imagination. i have met with child isis soldiers and i have met with child taliban soldiers and i have seen all those atrocities, too. and so me legitimacy to hamas is fundamentally immoral, irrespective of anyone's politics or internationality. there is an urgent lead for muslim leaders, king abdullah, prince asisi, to see the footage, to see the atrocities, to see the dehumanization of man, woman, child, elderly, disabled, infants, in the name of hamas, who dare use my religion to prosecute its genocide. we are living through a real-time genocide. we have more data on this. israelis are beginning to collect data on these crimes of humanity as israel prepares for a rightful action against hamas, which is to defeat it, which i believe will require a ground invasion and which israel is morally authorized to do as a rightful member of the international community. i do not want to see more civilian casualties. the arab world must help with with the humanitarian corridor. that's the muslim world. that's the muslim majority world has to take action. but we cannot tolerate any civilized nation living next to this monster, which is isis on steroids financed with millions of dollars. the amount of ammunition they brought in, the barbarity, the psychological warfare. there has not been anything like it and it must be stopped. >> laura: again, we gotta go, but the fact that biden is hinting with his shoot from the hip commentary today that if they release the hostages, then we'll push for a cease fire. to me that is just rewarding them for everything they did. dr. ahmed staggering. we review the embarrassing call joe biden had. we have all the details coming up. - [female narrator] they line up by the thousands. each one with a story that breaks your heart. like ravette... every step, brought her pain. their only hope: mercy ships. the largest floating civilian hospital in the world. bringing free surgeries to people who have no other hope. $19 a month will help provide urgently needed surgery for so many still suffering. so don't wait, call the number on your screen. or donate at mercyships.org. >> it's time for seen and unseen. we reveal the source of the headlines. return to contributor raymond arroyo. all right raymond, biting is back in action. after a little rest over the weekend. >> maybe it was $0.50 on instagram who got joe back into the game. robert wrote, " ho, get the blank up, were in trouble. he spent the weekend at the beach. over the weekend he tried to reassure the public that he was in charge. the warehouse released this video of biden speaking to those hostages released by hamas thank god. watch the president here. observed the script remember this is the white house edit of his best moments. >> i'm so glad you're home. i may not home, by drought. god love you. look, that's been long serving. organic get you out. god willing. i want to say, i hope you won't not only feeling good. in good health as well. >> laura, which you couldn't see is he's got the script in his hand like this and he was reading god love you good to see you. i don't know what a cut it off. these poor people have them been through enough. why did they have to endure this. >> again, i wonder if speaking at an incident to some of us just been released. saber praying for you and hoping for the best one we have to read the card? they have to give him a card or teleprompter. lord knows what will happen. we will be launching this whole thing in 5 seconds. all right raymond, the president did correct something today with my did not mix. >>. >> good afternoon folks. i'm not introducing me, mark is. i forgot rk. i went straight to the podium. i apologize. >> no roblem. >> if it tarted wobbly laura, it ended well, kinda. >> i apologize i have to go to the situation room. thank you, thank you, thank you. >> the situation here to deal with was his campaign. my question is why is he having my did not mix even in the middle of an international crisis china is sending a fleet of warships out. if got a record he broke at the border. more people crossing than ever before in a month. on top of how sales falling through a 13 year low. he should leave in the situation room. >> actually want out of the situation room. he's likely to push any button raymond, is like selling a lemon. it's a car that everyone knows is a lemon. you're still trying to sell it. this actually will make it across country. by this car now. everyone knows it's a lemon. the economy is a lemon under biden. >> finally i have to share this with you. houston marrow candidate, sheila jackson lee was caught on tape trashing and abusing herself. fox has not verified the audio. jackson lee's campaign will neither confirm nor deny its authenticity. for goodness sake, get her the information laura. there's a congresswoman in all her glory. >> i don't have the information, nobody has sent me the information. i need to ensure my schedule. google did it, bleep, bleep. bleep, bleep, bleep. >> well. >> what a sweetheart. she needs to call angie's list i think. she's got a real problem in that office. jackson lee's office laura, they claim this is a low handed political tactic meant to discredit a thriving mayoral candidate. >> raymond, it sounds like after today at the white house, it sounds like she could be describing the white house, right? that is kind of what she's describing. but, b. >> those are some colorful adjectives to describe the white house. here's the problem, jackson lee has been sued twice laura for what they claim are abusive staff. she is renowned on capitol hill for tossing staff aside. making life difficult for them. this is coming to the 4th. no in the biden evisceration is commenting on the sting. imagine if this were saying, jim jordan or mccarthy or trump. this would be wall-to-wall. it would be playing this tape on a loop. it would be its own miniseries. >> if only the democrats treated china the way they treat their own staff. we would be in good shape. they never have those types of words for like g and what he's doing. the florence stagen are the problem. all right oriole, thank you. set your dvr and stay connected with us. jesse is next. >> welcome to jesse watters prime time

breaking tonight, hamas is blinking? well perhaps. earlier today two elderly hostages were released. one 79, the other 85. now tears of joy for sure but still they claim one quarter of their community is either murdered, missing or was abducted. more details on that in moments. also tonight we're going to talk to one muslim scholar who viewed raw footage of all the horrors, murder, torture, all of it that was committed by hamas. plus a survivor of the festival attack, her startling assessment of america's rising anti-semitism later in the show. we are also learning more about other atrocities the terrorists planned to carry out, cyanide bombs reportedly coming from al qaeda. fox's lucas tomlinson is standing by. what can you tell us? >> reporter: laura, moments ago a helicopter delivered the hostages released from hamas to a hospital here in tel aviv. what's striking one of the hospitals used to volunteer to drive palestinians into israel for better medical care. israeli defense minister toured a navy base today telling his forces to prepare to assault gaza saying it will come soon. earlier today an air force strike killed five commanders in israel. supreme court forces vowed to hunt down and kill all responsible for the massacre. a special unit has been formed to carry out the mission. overthe weekend israeli force carried out a rare strike in the west bank followed by a raid by the internal security agency what i they said foiled a terrorist plot in the west bank. the idf said the mosque contained hamas islamic jihad operatives organizing a quote imminent terror attack. of course, joining the 200 israeli hostages in gaza are ten americans that john kirby says are not just missing but are presumed to be hostages in gaza tonight. laura? >> laura: lucas, thank you very much. be careful out there, my friend. we've also seen over the course of the last few days an uptick in rocket and drone attacks by iranian backed proxy groups against military bases housing military personnel in iraq an syria we know iran's goal is to maintain deniability here but we're not gonna allow them to do that. >> laura: that lavender tie scares people. tough words. is anyone taking the biden white house seriously? why should they after they thought it was a good idea to trust iran with billions for that prisoner release earlier this year. ridiculous. joining me now the former ambassador at large and counter territory coordinator under trump. nathan, let's start with you. knowing who's leading us in this time of international peril, what are our options here? >> i think the only option is the option that works, and that is peace through strength. we need to show iran that they have a lot more to lose by poking at us than they have to gain. and unfortunately, what we heard from the administration is tough talk but not a whole lot of action to match those words. in the past week i think we've seen eight, honestly laura, i have lost track of how many, about eight attacks by iranian proxies on american forces. one actually resulted in the death of a u.s. civilian contractor. and the response has been tough talk but no action. that is not going to scare iran off. if we want to avoid being drawn into a major conflict in the middle east, the best way to accomplish that is to demonstrate strength to iran so that they decide they're going to sit this one out on the sidelines. >> laura: richard, the biden team gave what seemed to be conflicting answers over the last 24 hours or so about this threat of an escalation. watch this. >> we are concerned. in fact, we expect that there's a likelihood of escalation. escalation by iranian proxies directed against our forces, directed against our personnel. >> right now we don't see an indication that a major player is willing to escalate in a major way. >> laura: they're clearly at odds with each other here. what kind of message does that send, richard? >> we see nothing but mixed signals. on the one hand they say they are moving more ships into the area to deter iran. we still have billions of dollars being made available to iran not just in qatar, the $6 billion but $10 billion that was made available previously. we are also seeing oil shipments go from iran to china. nothing to crack down on those. you start leaking over the weekend, the new york time, we're going to constrain israel, we don't want escalation. who is the party that's afraid? is it iran or the united states? you could say we are trying to deter but as nathan just said, when you don't even respond when your forces are coming under attack and you are signaling sanctions relief will continue, who's being deterred here? it's not the iranians. it's us. >> laura: one thing, nathan, that we saw today, axis did a big scoop about a marine three star is in israel advising the military there on the ground operations in gaza. now is that something we should be applauding in the united states or given again the track record of this leadership, with what we saw in afghanistan, is this going to make us feel better or is this a dangerous game that's being played? >> well, laura, i think in this case the military deserves the benefit of the doubt. the cooperation between the united states and israel is first rate, particularly when it comes to counter terrorism. i want our intelligence community, i want our military professionals to be talking to the israeli counter parts to help them meet their objective going into gaza to eradicate hamas. now, it's more difficult for them to do better jobs when they hear conflicting signals coming out of the white house. on one hand the white house says we support israel. on the other hand, there are stories about how the white house is trying to slow roll the israelis, delay the on set of the offensive in gaza. that is sending confusing signals to our allies. but just as importantly, it's sending confusing signals to iran. iran is going to try and exploit that to our detriment. >> laura: richard i want to play a sound bite from lindsay graham who has been probably the biggest war hawk out there on what's happening in the middle east and his comments yesterday. >> we are here today to tell iran we're watching you. if this war arose, it's coming to your back yard. there won't be two fronts, there will be three. if there's an effort to unleash hezbollah on the jewish state to destroy it, my pitch will be to tehran. the innocent hostages get slaughtered, i hold you, iran, accountable because you could stop it if you chose to. >> laura: richard, we all want the hostages released immediately. we want israel to be protected and israel to be as strong and democratic as ever. lindsey graham is not the pentagon chief, nor is he working in the executive branch. this is very confusing for people writing this that lindsay graham is writing our military policy. maybe that's a good thing. but your thoughts on that. >> i think we're doing a lot of showing, a lot of telling and not showing. usually israel and the united states are good at show instead of tell. in other words, we don't want to just have rhetoric. we don't want to just say, we're gonna beat you if you do that. you are hearing that out of the israelis and americans. how about we actually respond when our bases are attacked? how about we snap back the security council resolution to restore the embargo the president allowed to expire last week? how about you stop the billions of dollars from flowing to tehran? i don't want to keep talking about conflict in military. i want to restore deterrence. >> laura: nathan, meanwhile we have the hostage negotiations which again i'm going to get into this in the angle in a little bit. to me, again, we seem like back benchers. when we really either should be really involved and it should be scary to the other side or we should let israel do what israel does best, frankly. >> that's right. we know that iran does not lash out in the face of american strength. what we have seen time and again is that iran escalates in response to american weakness. going back to the trump administration, we drew a red line, one that unlike our predecessor, we enforced. we said to iran, if you harm an american, if you kill an american, we're going to make you pay. that's what president trump did when he ordered the removal of a terrorist who had the blood of 603 american soldiers on his hands. how did iran respond? we didn't see world war iii break out. we didn't see further escalation from iran. they launched a couple missiles then meekly went back to their corner. there's a lesson there. strength deters iran and weakness is provocative. >> laura: none of this was happening under trump. thank you. remember when america was told that when biden got elected, it meant the adults were back in charge. we knew that was all a crock at the time. now we see conflict spilling over around the globe. how's it all looking now? my angle in minutes. to duckduckgo on all your devie duckduckgo comes with a built-n engine like google, but it's pi and doesn't spy on your searchs and duckduckgo lets you browse like chrome, but it blocks cooi and creepy ads that follow youa from google and other companie. and there's no catch. it's fre. we make money from ads, but they don't follow you aroud join the millions of people taking back their privacy by downloading duckduckgo on all your devices today. >> laura: biden over a barrel. that's the focus of tonight's angle. troops meet consequences. the president is drowning in a sea of crises, most of which are of his own making. because when america is weak, our enemies are on the move. the results make for a more dangerous and unsettled world and an america that is more divided and disillusioned. i was 16 years old when the carter years happened and americans were taken hostage in iran. like now that happened during another weak u.s. presidency when america was demoralized and crippled economically. our enemies saw it and took advantage of the moment. and now another despicable islamic force holds hostages, including some americans, using them at bargaining chips and releasing a few here and there to show goodwill, as if that's going to somehow negate is slaughter of innocent civilians on october 7th. the sad truth is this. with biden as commander in chief, america is neither feared nor respected. >> it is truly an hour by hour effort here at the white house and the state department to find out where these folks are and to try to make the effort to get them out, to get them back. we still have about ten unaccounted for americans. it's not exactly clear to us where those ten people are. >> laura: that's reassuring. a pillar of strength from the white house. why is he revealing what they know and don't know about the hostages? it's total amateur hour. the world knows it, too. anyone notice what's happening in the south china sea? they just rammed a philippine ship. the u.s. government responded by issuing a state charging that china had violated international law by intentionally interfering with the philippines exercise of high seas freedom of navigation. i'm sure president xi is sweating that one. the fact is just as the angle preteubgted, china and russia and iran are all taking advantage of the fact that biden is a weak president presiding over a weakened america. american voters, i mean, can't blame them, they're rightly nervous. more are seeing this biden era is what it is, a slow moving train wreck. >> i want to thank chuck shumer and senator todd young, representative -- excuse me representative joe morelli and susan ward. >> laura: those names can get very confusing. the fundamental problems facing the biden administration, they don't have anything to do with donald trump or speaker race or anyone in the gop at all. their problems result from the fact that america is getting poorer and weaker. they have no clue, or maybe no desire to change that fact. so their only response is, let's keep borrowing money to keep the war machine going. >> history has taught us when terrorists don't pay a price for their terror, when dictators don't pay a price for their aggression, they cause more chaos and death and more destruction. they keep going and the cost and threats to america and the world keep rising. >> laura: well that's true. because it's true, biden should have made sure that america was in a stronger position before this storm hit. that's not what he did. instead he and the democrats and some republican senators spent money on things that we didn't need and frankly no one voted for. in addition climate boondogles, more pandemic foolishness. an infrastructure bill that some claim only spends 17%, 18% on infrastructure like roads and bridges. it was all a lie. after we've already spent $110 billion for a standoff essentially in ukraine, biden is acting like another $100 billion will cause, what? our enemies to back off? just look at these dollar amounts. for ukraine that's $60 billion, $30 billion in direct military aid mostly restocking u.s. weapons sent to kyiv and billions more in humanitarian aid and just a pittance for our own border, maybe spent on better iphones for the migrants. if it were true that $100 billion would turn the tide, then, yes, it would all be worth it. but instead, with these people in charge, it's like pumping air into a leaky tire. unless you really get it plugged or fixed it's going to go flat. the problem is we need real structural change. fix the military, strengthen the economy, develop a serious plan to manage the debt we already have. but we can't wait for that. i know what you're saying. the establishment will always say that. there's no time, we got to do this now. to that i say, making policy decision on an emergency basis has been a recipe for failure. look at it. since 9/11 washington has borrowed money at an obscene rate and has never developed a serious plan to dig our way out of it. we can't do all of the same policies that we've done before and expect different results. so now, welsh biden is seeing the world as it really is when america is growing weaker. china is moving closer to taking taiwan, russia's still in ukraine. now our closest ally, israel, is under siege. of course, iran is emboldened. it would be great if america would be like bruce lee and able to fight several forces at one time. god i loved him. that would be nice. because we haven't kept ourselves in better shape, our options are few and limited. a company that's $33 trillion in debt is going to have limited financial power. a country that has a military run by woke activists is going to have limited military power. a country that spent two generations teaching our young people to teach our founding and our entire example, that's going to have limited cultural power. look at our streets over the weekend. finally biden is seeing the consequences of a weakened america. they still don't propose to make any changes in policy or in personnel. let's not forget biden still uses the doj to prosecute its political opponents. the maga movement is a dire threat to democracy. how many times have we heard that? now he wants those same taxpayers to answer those calls to open their wallets as he staggers from failure to failure. fanatic and incompetence. the biden team won't change their policy ors personnel. knowing this why would republicans keep playing along and driving us further into debt? do they really think voters in swing states are going to reward them by doing that? the best way to support our allies is to strengthen america, re reinvigorate our patriotism. that's the angle. joining me victor chance. victor, america is being played because we're weak economically and culturally. to that point, a poll earlier this summer found only 18% of people ages 18-34 say they are extremely proud or proud to be american. that figure was 85%. is there going to be a rally around the flag moment with this culture? >> no, because young people see all the advantages of being anti-american. that's the culture at colleges in the media. they feel they adapt to it rather than reject it and be patriotic, then they'll benefit. you mentioned deterrence. you can't achieve deterrence by talking loudly and frequently and carrying a twig. it's only seldomly and quietly with a club. if you want hezbollah to enter and iran to enter this fray, then you will restrict israel and will tell the world that israel, even the most unimaginable crime of butchering 1,000 jews have no consequences, or you will be antony blinken on a fake story about an israeli attack on a hospital, you order or suggest embassies in the middle east will lower their flags half-mast. or give around $6 billion, or give hamas basically another $100 million after restoring aid in general to the palestinians. all of that will encourage hezbollah and iran to go in on the premise of, look at these westerners and israel. even when we do this to them, the unimaginable, subhuman, they still won't react. they will be encouraged to do something stupid. you're right about deterrence. it's your border, national unity. when you start to lose that and you compound it with a military short of recruit, politicized military, afghanistan, the chinese balloon, biden saying he wouldn't react in ukraine if it was a minor offensive. that's all force phrult tp multiplying each other. even in nadir we have the power to destroy both. we don't want to do that. they may miscalculate and think otherwise given our current state. that's very dangerous. >> laura: that's a concern. >> you want peace, let the israelis take care of hamas. >> laura: victor, that is a concern, china sending power to the region. obviously we have a presence there. iran is clearly it looks like on the move. so the opportunity for a mistake to cause a major world changing event in the middle east is real and i'm sorry, given what they did in afghanistan, given what they are doing to our recruits and our faith in the system, i frankly don't have a lot of faith in them. i really don't. >> you're absolutely right. because you see what china is trying to do, see the vacuum of leadership and power. it wants to replay the role in the cold war thinking we want to be the patron and contest the allies of the united states and the united states eutsz and they will think they can rely on our power to deter the united states and get a free hand. that's why it's very important to stand up to china and say, you're not going to be the patron of these murderous thugs. yet china's got the opposite impression because of our appeasement and mollification. it's the 11th hour. we can still restore it but we have to make a radical shift in our political leadership. >> laura: current jack keane was asked an important question about the war around the world. watch this. >> why aren't we doing a better job preventing these wars in the first place? >> our goal has always been a prosperous middle east, peaceful middle east. we bring our allies and partners together. that doesn't stop. but at the same time, right, russia is going to invade ukraine, we have to be there for ukraine. >> laura: that's an excellent question. they were supposed to be the adults in charge, the force of sanity. trump was going to blow up the world. now look at the world. >> laura: they don't understand human nature. when you are unpredictable and you are scary, that's civilized. when you're predictably weak that's uncivilized. that's what they're doing. they're so self-righteous and think they have such a superior moralee they don't understand they are abjectly immoral. israel needs to strike back at hamas. >> laura: now looks like hamas gets to buy sometime by playing the good guy and releasing these hostages. can't make this up. victor, thank you. coming up an american survivor from that horrific massacre at the israeli music festival. her comments after she's seen these pro hamas protests across our country. she's next. you don't want to miss it. this is a special alert. israel is under attack and israel's enemies seek our destruction. the people of israel need immediate help. rockets have us squarely in the crosshairs. our people are targets in their own homes. many have lost everything and fear for their lives. the international fellowship of christians and jews has launched an urgent response to rescue those affected by this violent attack. our teams are on the ground across israel delivering lifesaving aid. your urgently needed gift of only $45 will help rush food, water, medicine and emergency supplies for jewish families that have nowhere to turn. time is literally running out. what we need you to do is to act now.
