>> ainsley: we are concerned about the hostages, it is heartbreaking to know that some are not alive anymore, the ones that are, the fear. we want to get them out as quickly as we can. >> steve: nothing good. >> ainsley: no, 199 hostages, the idf have had to contact family members and tell them your loved ones are hostages. we talked to peter lerner the spokesperson for the idf. he served and now he's a reservist and it is his pleasure to serve his country of israel. here is what he said about the hostage situation. >> i don't trust iran, iran, pickuper masters behind this attack. we are making preparations and if we need to immobilize into gaza. we need to keep our eye on the ball here. we have the means and the abilities, obviously top of priority and we need to be cautious what we say. 199 people and families torn to pieces over last 10 days. what will happen over the coming days? >> i'm also a reservist, 10 years out of the army and i got called up. as paratrooper we are trained to jump out of planes, come in through land and sea and many different ways. being a paratrooper, i don't think jumping out of a plane is functional for invasion into gaza or enter into lebanon because it the paratrooper in part of what we can do is not relevant if we do go in. >> you talked about how you been out of the i.d.f. for ayatollaha while. explain the training. in a broad way if you will -- we heard what 360,000 had been called up which is unprecedented number. how long and how big is the training?
