>> todd: who does this? this seems to be happening more and more in cities like nor city. unclear what led to violent encounter this happened in harlem subway station. the woman tried fighting him off with her cane, he stole it and hit her with it. he hit her until the cane fell apart after it hit her head. the cane broke and he began hitting her with his bare fist. the video is about two minutes and not one person helped to intervene. 26% increase in felony assault. the woman is in the hospital and the attacker is still on the loose. >> steve: to todd's point, it went on for a couple minutes and nobody came to the rescue. mayor eric adams, former police officer, said he would surge officers into the subway to make sure they are safe, does that look safe? >> it would be a surprise to me, but it wouldn't be a total shock. >> ainsley: what do you say? do you think he will drop out? if so, when? >> guy: that is the key question, you can watch the president and see the fact he's doing little on the campaign trail. he is running for reelection, doesn't feel like he is and some numbers i was referencing are swirling out there. people are not happy, you would think at his age with factors at play, he would be looking for an exit here. however, everyday that moves forward and ticks ahead on the calendar, he is declared nominee or presumed nominee for democrats, makes it harder for anyone else to throw together a campaign and get traction. the sooner, the better if he will not run, someone else will need or multiple people will have to fill that void. fact he is in it and is incumbent tells me that is what we should expect. how could anyone be stunned if he decided to step aside? >> griff: one man alone fighting the tide. we've been talking about "wall street journal," majority of people think he is too old and two-thirds of democrats say he is too old, you don't see anybody speak out telling him to step down. >> that is the collective action problem democrats might have. they are looking at each other whispering, are we really doing this? >> leo: because it is new york city, this is horrific, i saw this this morning on fox and asking myself why no arrest. you cannot tell me this person not can be found. the victim is the guy swinging the cane. he will be considered mentally ill. in new york city it is the reverse, the criminal justice system is systemically racist. people in new york and democratic cities have not hit rock bottom, until they do so, they will continue this. >> griff: if that is not rock bottom, what is?
