The massive manhunt for cavalcante has put a Pennsylvania Community on edge as multiple Law Enforcement agencies are combing through the backyards and by ways, the most promising piece of evidence is that home surveillance video. The five foot tall, 120 Pound Cavalcante can be seen just before 2 00 a. M. Saturday. He is carrying a backpack. It is not far from the Chester County prison where he escaped on thursday. Authorities believe he is still within a couple of miles of that area. We believe were getting closer to locating this suspect at this time. Were narrowing the scope of our search. We believe that he may be in a residential location that is comprised with hundreds of homes in a deeply wooded area. He is a native of brazil. He was convicted of a 2021 violent death of his exgirlfriend. She was stabbed 38 times in front of her two children. It was to prevent her from telling authorities he was wanted in brazil for a 2017 murder. Cavalcante was set to be transferred to a state prison in a few weeks to serve a life sentence. So for the resources that it takes to recover from a storm like this and attend to a president ial detail, it is incredible. I know the governor was out with some of the communities that were hit hardest. We have all been boots on the ground. Its a tough time for our area and behind me there is a Disaster Zone left in the wake of hurricane idalia. Im less concerned about what biden wants to do to try to make up for his lack of action in East Palestine and maui and other districts but more concerned getting our district back on their feet. Julie how are fema funds kicking in . Thats huge importance for people who return to nothing. Their homes are rubble and now they have to rebuild from the ground up. You know, its really hard right now, julie. We have seen entire homes disappear and just have clean foundations as though they had just been poured. Entire livelihoods including ago. There is agricultural operations. They have sustained huge losses. So in terms of the federal funding, it is slow coming in. The administrator said theyre out of money. Thats why the state, florida, has really stepped up and they are doing as much as they can to help with the debris removal. Getting people back on their feet and getting fuel in their vehicles and helping to kick start this process. Were a long ways out. Hopefully we get a clean Supplemental Program that will fund the disasters for Hurricane Ian, maui and idalia without any supplemental riders without ukraine funding. This is a failure of leadership at the top. If he is serious hell get his act together and usda and fema are actually getting those resources to these communities.
