[laughter] >> raab took the time of his national tour to join us right here on "one nation" earlier this year let's watch. >> you made it pretty clear here we've had enough excess success been going to come out you care about the country most. if you say when it comes to politics i cannot buy with this administration is selling how tough is that decision? >> easy but you have little kids you start thinking about a got a good nest egg for them to take care of them financially but what is that matter if the country that they live in we have a guy a president who winds at midnight a or 3:00 o'clock in the morning loses. at a certain point you have to think when you leave them behind? if enough people would say enough of this. it's not just the democrats as the republicans do they do not give up the power either. you really have to, i think make a case for return to the normal hatred we have in our governor t with all the branches. make it at least a fair or fairer. it's not going to be a perfect system. this is a constitutional republic we have is not fair for us not going to be fair for everybody but it is a better system. all you have to do is look around or suits happening in europe and china and you go it is still really darn good here. i do think we had to stop the encroachment of some sort of authoritarianism which is happening now. >> give an example your business stand up comedy doesn't matter who you know when you get on stage it doesn't hear dad was coming brother was coming her sister was if you do not get the response you're not going to have success big rex gerry seinfeld said exactly you got 30 seconds. a minute an to hap a happen youy something funny. otherwise people lose progress you have to earn it. >> that is the contrary that's the purpose of the country is in it? oh out and compete regrets i do think here's a problem i have with generation z. they are good kids in their waking up. we made a mistake by saying you can be anything you want. we got to be more specific with this generation. you can be anything you want i want to be a hor horse know we t mean horse policeman, fireman. maybe astronaut probably not but maybe. but you cannot be a wizard is just a movie. >> you cannot pick your gender special if you are a child. can we go back and look at your career and shed some light because of the most fascinating career which you earned by lippert if i should do this pick what he thinking of? 1990 snl cast. but that's a pretty good group the money is leaning very hard on the left side of that photograph. sandler and rock there. and spade it was a great group. truthfully i should have been in therapy are not on tv at that time too. >> wcorrect is this yourfirst y? let's look at the pad rate there arose when opportunity it was progress you are writing and performing? >> yes. saturday night live with such incredible place if you had an idea that was funny you thought was funny men that you would find out get to read it in front of everybody wednesday if it got enough labs you'd find it was really funny saturday then sunday people would be repeating it over the country progresso beer in the skit that you wrote regrets lo the loves movies on y house baghdadi what is it mean to you? >> this was just adam sandler system to be in the teen 96 or 97 which was outrageous. maybe it was 98. he could not get me hired to play the jon stewart rolled the studio said no space a look there is a one roll he can just come in it's a ch the chinese delivery guys got one line just come in so i come and did it and he said just come the next day i had no lines he said will come up with something but he made sure, adam this is what a good pal he is he made sure i was coming every day for a month and it made it into a big role is only one line original in the script regards that's awesome he broke out first you came to snl first? right over here this was the 51st dates right here? >> this is a first time i realized frequency of that outfit prior? [laughter] but you could see that who the leading man is and who the it is. first time i realized i was in a movie with real movie stars as drew barrymore and adam sandler, handsome and beautiful drew barrymore. they were romantically you could tell their sparks fight on the idiot with the mop on my head this was my good ivory we ad lib. most of the stuff. >> another franchise you can get started grown-ups. a bunch of buddies hanging out getting paid to the box office at sea? >> i think so i think so adam wrote a really funny script for his buddies to hang out and have a good time. the thing about that is why people like the movie as you can tell there's good, watery. that's my sweet little daughter miranda. my new movie daddy daughter trip. show business is not healthy for adults i decided to bring my own children in. >> good parenting but adams and his wife as her wife. >> she's terrific soon open to mexico and oliver it never going to bring to united states progress you have the competitive fire that got you everything's got you? >> no i don't. >> i realize is it is the time is becoming more precious that is what gets you. it's t that time back when you really want to spend your time on? i want to be with my kids but at the same time you do something you have to love it i do love acting. i do love the chance to make people laugh. then assistant keeps me going as i get to an airport and somebody says 51st date my mother and i saw that movie together we laughed and is one of my favorite. >> totally does. >> from old every student be a stay-at-home mom for 16 years drove to follow her dream of becoming a comedian. >> i have a son my very handsome 13 road sent recently started walking to school with a girl. naturally i follow them. [laughter] and my husband has been so impressed he is walking to school with eight white blonde girl and you don't have a problem with that? i told him there's nothing to worry about it's not she's going to get into a great high school. [laughter] >> now she's an internet sensation with over 100 million views on tiktok, center $47000 plus. she joined "one nation" to talk about what inspired her life's dramatic shift. >> welcome. >> thank you. it is so exciting to be here for a quick 2023 just started doing this in 2019. how have you had so much success so soon? >> it seems there is a big market for an indian woman trashing her mother-in-law. [laughter] let's you to have any idea? once i had no idea progress who pushed you to do this? >> what's my kids my daughter. i think in hindsight now my kids realize if i become a comedian i'm out of the house nights and weekends. >> right that's good for them, they have a little bit of freedom. you also mention if they went there for you and they're going to have to pay for because you are tallying how much they cost you. did you have any idea how much kids cost? what's no. i am indian we have lots of kids back home but it's cheap to raise him back home. you do not even have to feed the girl. but here there's all kinds of laws about this it's a very expensive school, college come whole thing so i'm keeping track but they want to marry somebody i don't agree with, guess what they're going to have to pay back first regard to keep receipts and there's invoices. as a very interesting way to run a household you also brought us inside your parenting tips. you are talking to your daughter trying to encourage her to intern with you. >> how to clean come how to organize how to do everything. even how to control your opinion. and tendencies but this will prepare you for life better than anything. court systems really anti- fun. are you going to use the effort in my house? >> antifeminist. that is you trying to give it to your daughter did not go to a major corporation intern for you. buck summit mi wrong brand question of do you not need all the skills i just listed? like a woman who talks too much, no, you know what i mean? extra first generation immigrant right question reborn here? >> born in bombay? yes precook what is the difference? excellent people in india are not as concerned with political correctness as they are in america. they just say it i grew up saying please don't talk. please do not talk you want to be married and successful and have a household keep your opinions to yourself. we all grew up hearing that, indian women you come here you have all of your kids were so american and everything is about sharing their opinions. >> you find comedy in the change and the difference? >> of course of course. >> the one thing you were aware of how costly kids are and why you have three? have you thought about that what we thinking? >> what was i thinking. i know what i head to the first was a girl he had to fix that. you know? >> of course, but why the third one? i slept of the night once i thought this is easy. [laughter] >> now i feel better. >> you made me feel better because watching netflix special is on youtube original that you are doing all the things they said it be impossible to do as a comedian you are on the third rail used to be cloud-to-ground why? how have you done it? >> what i have done truthfully the thing that shifted in my mind in the lot of comedian mind is now about my career in the hands of my fans. i go to youtube, i say forget about corporate forget about tv it's great but it's been very vy difficult at times to break through. you can't stay in the box you can't do this can can do that. i said screw it going to of the people since me and other comedians have decided to our whole lives and careers have changed around. i like doing tv but was watching besides a fox news who is watching tv customer not as many people were everyone is is on the internet podcasting, that is where my whole career is at. whennow it's great. i have amassed a fortune i live in a three-bedroom house on thrn staten island. [laughter] you were a physical therapist go to all these years of school what was your parent's reaction when he said in going to give it up to try comedy twitches 6:00 p.m. sometimes i perform at diners to work my way up. >> diners, i used to perform in a laundromat site is a true story to show collapse and suds. my father i have a degree in physical therapy at my mother was so upset when he told her what into do comedy. you're a clown. but i'm not a real doctor i can massage peo people's elbows buty father had my back he's like you do whatever you want to do. >> he does talk like that wanted to play for the new york yankees he just wasn't going to short and fat and has diabetes. he could not see out of his left side because his blood sugars 9000 that's probably issued ad to be shortstop of the yankees you are in the prime years of your plank or it's hard to play baseball from attica. [laughter] but he had my back. you only live once you do this at the time and made that i madn is 27. i had a doctorate degree had a job as a physical therapist site health benefits i'm leaving it all going to start in comedy the first show has a place called the maui taco. i'm leaving my stable physical therapy job and tell jokes for people in a taco restaurant that don't want, didn't want to be eating with us finally going to the divorce and i am they're just doing comedy my dads do it go for it you can live in my basement my acutely own your own house you don't have a basement he was like whatever you can llimit the remodel with me. i went for it. to be honest that was in 2013. since then i have been like i'm so happy it made the decision and during the pandemic my physical therapy license lapse but during the pandemic the governor reinstated everyone's health professional license to not a licensed physical therapist i haven't had expense in eight years and i'm a edibles all the time. i think is unethical. to be kicked out again. it's going to be great to canceled again. >> fantastic. my last thing for the people out there that think the world is impossible now because you are white there is hope, right? works or is hopefully up to his do what i did. have a family with a puerto rican woman. it's make yourself less white. [laughter] literally my family i swear to god puerto rican girlfriend, three puerto rican children and my girlfriend's uncle transgender puerto rico person shout out is my kid's aunts. i have a member of my family who is my girlfriends godfather but is now my baby daughter's godmother. the same person, transgender puerto rican people that is the key. that is the key. there's hope for white people to get out there and make yourself not white. >> would also bring up on national television but i did get fired unfortunately. i was trying to stir the lemonade. i could not find the stir in his emergency situation and i didn't start with my hand all the germs had probably worn off if you did drink that lemonade back in 2001. if you are still alive you should be good. >> that was a mistake an error in judgment you learn from probably thought done it since. other millennial's we have a lot of respect for but so far we are finding their having trouble holding jobs for the blame it on lack of soft skills time management they face pressure from technology and advancements. they also have a struggle with criticism, mentally it's not good they also went live/work balance. so you understand they're going to note any advice for millennial's watching right now that are unemployed originally fired? >> listen, member growing up i'm not one of these big back when i was growing up comedians, but how often did you hear brian, growing up we can afford it? we can't afford it? >> all the time. >> that's the three words opposite of i love you, we can't afford it, we can't afford it i think i heard every day. now that does not seem to exist anymore. there is no delayed gratification. used to have a bit remember it n we ran out of money? they profit off to drink a minimum and some is eating a mops roast stick and the front row will your spill your guts out right having a comedian's would you prioritize comedy is so important let alone someone like joe you're going be encouraged to talk about what every one. >> great to see a continued success easily getting don't show up at a show would hit him very. >> please hit me give me press and book me. >> you've got it. >> because on paper if you set us up we are a perfect match. but he is the nicest guy on the planet. he believes everything is possible. it is my job to crush this spirit. it didn't matter when we were dating. did not matter i have a masters degree as a ged. he's got to he sent away for an extra copy. because it's a double major. >> itis a healthy relationship which is not as the comedian she is not afraid to say what she is thinking at least that's what i think she's thinking. career skyrocketed after make the finals of nbc last comic standing back in 2004 buried since then she's been selling out comedy tours making tv movie appearances a specials on prime right now. and she joins me great to meet you in person tammy perfect thank you for having appreciated directly find someone who should be in my family and half + half hour she grew up in an italian family? >> i had nothing to lose. i had nothing to loose it was a bet basically is that i'm as funny as this person. my brothers mike i bet you're not paid for 50 bucks when you're just out of college she will do almost anything. within reason of course but i grew up tough. >> we cannot play the whole thing you do say how much you love your husband, m man templates, right? but he is the subject of your comedy that people laughing >> why does everybody whine about it? i love him. fragmented and picking on their wives, hennie young went take my wife and please pray talk about it because i love him. i did not love him i would not say anything i'm not trolling for dates. i am just trying to get one person. they are all swiping right and what one man in my house to wipe right that's what i'm looking for projects he loves it doesn't he?
