president. the money would flow to nine family members. he has to continue to change us. since then we have found a movement of his administration of weaponization. we found that while the special prosecutor actually let the statute of limitations run out on hunter biden's taxes. the fbi actually informed hunter biden and the inaugural committee prior to our ability to go and interview him. we also have a doj that gave, tried to give a sweetheart deal to hunter biden and the judge said no. if you look at all the information we have been able to gather so far, it is a natural step forward that you would have to go to an impeachment inquiry. so you understand what that means, that provides congress the apex of legal power to get all of the information that they need. remember what is laying out there right now. we have an attorney general that could apply to the american public which he is now named a special prosecutor, they have said two different things. you have on gary shapley later today. irs whistleblowers that have come forward that joe there are two forms of justice when it comes to america. look at this. it looks like a culture of corruption that is been happening within the entire biden family. you have to be able to answer that to the american public. the american public deserve an answer, who was lying, who paid and what foreign governments we found now that we know fbi had an informant that got to a form of at 1023 claiming that they had bribed then vice president and saying we would never find the money because they went shell companies and withheld them from the irs individuals investigating hunter biden. >> i think you made such an important point. we would not know any of this if it were not for even your 5% majority. thanks to your investigations, the hearings, the on the record testimonies your investigators have been doing, we have learned a lot about what is been taking place allegedly during the. job biden was vice president. do you need more evidence? >> we have been out on summer recess right now working in the district. when we go back we will discuss this. we did not know about the whistleblowers coming forth. we did not know of all the times a president lied to the american public. each step we takes contradicts what the biden said before. could you imagine being a sitting vice president in your family member set up 20 shell companies. american companies do not do that. then they deal with foreign companies, 16 of 17 payments from romania while you are vice president. any of the vice president claiming key utilized american tax dollars to withhold from ukraine to get a prosecutor fired. we just recently found out during the break from a business partner with hunter biden that they were being pressured when they were on the board to try to do something about that prosecutor. to be able to get the answers to these questions, you would need an impeachment inquiry to compound to be able to get the answers at the american people deserve to know. i've had democrats tell me they are very concerned because they backed this president based on what he told america and with each turn we find that that is not true. >> does it become harder with this other issue that you've got , and that is the funding deadline. are you able to deepen this probe while battling democrats and the white house by funding government by september 30. do you think we will see a short-term continuing resolution while you finish the appropriations process? >> one of our goals is to change washington. the debt ceiling, we put a provision in their few do not do your job there is a 1% cut across the board. he made a lot of members mad, but they are actually doing their work. i don't believe we have enough time to pass all the approach creation bills by september 30. i would like to make our arguments stronger. if we shut down, all government shuts down. it hurts the american public. if we are able to pass our appropriation bills, we are in a stronger position to remove those pelosi policies locked into law right now. the overspending, the nonsecurity of this border. we want to secure this border. make our streets safer and have our parents have a say in their kids education. you want to go into that debate with the strongest hand. if we could pass more, a stronger position, over in the senate, i am sorry, the republicans and democrats are voting 97% to spend even higher than what our debt ceiling agreement agreed to. we are in this discussion together. we have to have a stronger hand. i want to put us in the position to get greater savings and take away all those pelosi policies. >> would you be in favor of doing a short-term until december, january? >> the old washington used to always try to set them up right before a holiday. i want to make sure not by holiday, just enough time that if we can do more of our work now that if we can be in kong prince with the senate -- washington only works on deadlines. give us a short-term deadline that makes our policy stronger that we been able to pass and make a stronger argument in committee to remove the pelosi policies. >> one of the policies you have been pushing his energy independence. we saw americans get her once again by inflation this summer. gasoline all the way up to $7 in some areas. what can you do to affect energy independence? >> supply chain, inflation, god has blessed this nation. we could be energy independent. this policy has really harmed us it is made the world less safe in america weaker. i will be traveling to japan to meet with the g-7 speakers. we will be talking about energy policy. i think it will be america. if we replace russian natural gas with american, in europe alone in one year we would lower 280 million tons of co2 emissions because our natural gas is cleaner. america would be economically stronger, our prices would be lower in the world would be safer. i will get together with the g-7 and talk about energy policy and hopefully be able to make america stronger in the world safer. >> a lot a breaking news this morning. you will be participating in the g-7 just as much as i don't want them to judge me for being pro-life. it is in the hands of the people where it should be. talking about a federal law. it is frustrating that no one is telling the american people the truth. you have to have a majority of the house. you have to have 60 senate votes to pass a federal bill. no republican president can ban abortions any more than a democrat president can ban those state laws. if we really do want to save as many babies as possible, if we want to support as many moms as possible, let's find consensus on where we can do that. i think we need to support the fact that we want to get rid of late-term abortions. guess what, they are ready. let's focus on good-quality adoptions. let's focus on the fact that contraception should be accessible. let's focus on the fact that we need to make sure that we are not putting any women in jail, anyone, you know, the death penalty from state laws if a woman gets an abortion. let's humanize this issue and stop demonizing this issue. maria: the wall street journal gave you high marks on your performance because you told the truth in the op-ed piece. i want to talk to about your expectations for the path to winning. yes, you are number three, but donald trump has an outsized when over the field right now based on the poles. what is your path to victory? >> well, the first debate is always the start of the election season. everyone wants to assume this race is over, it is actually just getting started. we have done ade events in new hampshire and iowa. we are doing events in south carolina this week. we will keep focusing on touching on as many hands as we can, answering as many questions donald trump was a friend of mine. it was an honor to serve on the administration with him. i believe a lot of his policies. the fact is i don't know if it is four or five or six or how many indictments it is now, but he will spend a lot of time in a courtroom and not on the campaign trail. my concern is we cannot have kamala harris as president. we cannot chances. we need a new generational leader that will bring in not only republicans, but we will pull back the independence. we will bring in hispanics. we will bring in the asian community. we have to make sure we run this if kamala harris was president she would send a chill up every american spine. >> compared to president trump they look at biden as a weaker president, if not the weakest. his china policy will not be aggressive. i anticipate that there is probably money flowing into the united states to various candidates, but potentially to help president biden get reelected. >> you think that is why the democrats are always talking about russia, russia, russia and they do not focus on the behavior out of communist china russia mark is this an issue we would all agree on? >> it should be. back then, why are they doing this? they wanted to get into the wto. they wanted aerospace technology clinton was able to do that. he was very pro- taiwan in the beginning until china got to them through this money in the donors and he changed his policy as we fast-forward today, what is happened with all of this money coming to hunter biden? >> i hope that they start to get into the space where they start targeting voters and talking directly to them. in my own election the big issue was abortion. abortion is still out there. we have already seen joe biden put an attack ad out. i had $50 million in attack ads against me on abortion. we've got to get that message correct and we have to be able to speak to suburban women. that is who the democrats are targeting with their abortion message. >> abortion, but also as you mentioned, bidenomics. women are the ceos of their household. they know what they are spending money on. they know the cost has gone up substantially over the years. >> absolutely. taking gaslight people and try to say that biden's economy is working. wages are down. you don't have to be a world-renowned economist to understand that that does not jive. the bottom line is difficult. we cannot afford back to school clothing and supplies for our kids. we cannot afford gas in our car. things are not working no matter what the media does to run cover for biden. the people are looking at the bottom line saying this is not working. there watching on their streets as illegals flood into this country enough to be put up in hotels and homes while americans are struggling. we have americans living on the streets. we have major problems. our election still are not clear people say we think all the other problems are issued until we get our reflections elections honest we don't know how we can solve the other problems. president trump can fix these problems. he has done it before. i hear americans eager to get them back in office. maria: i am just wondering if putting aside the allegations of on-field election, the mechanics of voting, the democrats pushed early voting. democrats just do it better than republicans. >> democrats have done it much better. they have all of these outside groups, to. michigan we have about the teen outside groups. we the voter, put michigan first , putting it into the ground game. getting people out there and embracing the fact we will vote early. embrace the fact we will have absentee ballots. we have to make sure we get those people to get their absentee ballots, get them back in and we are locating them, targeting them and getting your ballots back in. this is our chance. we have to get it under control. maria: even in the face of policy that is heard americans. kari lake, i saw your tweet about how the americans have literally welded the gates open in arizona to allow all of this flow of illegal migration. what can you tell us? >> it is really despicable. gates meant to open up during monsoon rain so the debris can flow back and forth. biden, the u.s. federal government has gone down there in their welded those gates wide open. literally people are pouring through. if you don't believe that joe biden is part and parcel in nearly a partner with the cartels you've got to get down to the border to see what is happening here. the fentanyl is pouring in. i saw people dying on the streets, maria in the heat. drugs, fentanyl. this is despair. our cities are being destroyed. our quality of life going down. americans are struggling because of joe biden's policies. i think it will be a slamdunk with president trump winning in november. people are so tired of the direction that this country is going adjust two years under joe biden. we have to get people registered to vote. vote early to make sure we can get president trump back in their. >> what else can you do about it there is speculation that you will run for the senate. we you be announcing that soon? >> that is right, maria. it was so important i asked him to repeat it. i have provided their names. they received subpoenas now because they were unwilling to cooperate voluntarily. that is what i'm asking for. bring as many people for that have information about this so it is not just me sitting there. not just special agent sitting there telling you what happened. that day, october 7, 2022, i sent the e-mail to executives over me. one of which was there and they corroborated that is exactly what happened during that meeting. maria: what are your thoughts in terms of what went down?
