modern-day freak show circus freak show. it goes to why democrats are so successful, talking about climate change. all the terrifying stuff that they promote on their climate change agenda, it's such a great movie. everybody wants to go see the horror movie. but the idea that you would say well, it's really not as dramatic as they are saying, no one is going to see that movie. nobody wants to see the movie. the larger problem and obviously it's huge problem. it's a complex problem. it's a horrifying problem. you had so many families of all socioeconomic backgrounds, all parts of the country who were affected by this and it's horrifying. there's a limited amount of things that the government can do to tackle this. but everything that the government can do, such as closing the border or allowing a thriving autonomy or prosecuting drug convictions, the biden administration is completely failed to do and when you talk to people who recovered from drug addiction, especially with opioids, the number of them who say then getting arrested and going to jail was what turned me around, it ought to be a lesson for us about where to go forward. >> greg: judge, you look at these store you need the stick. they are not going to go into treatment unless they are faced with jail time and a lot would rather go to jail than treatment. so we had something going for us when we have the big stick and the leverage. what's happening now is we have some normalized drug abuse and drug addiction that we have created these safe injection sites and vending machines with needles and all kinds of laws that literally protect these people and allow them to do this in front of residences and businesses. in front of your house, if you want to put a 3-foot fence you'll get charged and fined for doing that but they can do it all over and destroy things and drugs are more dangerous than ever now. if ever there were a time to at least consider that criminal justice system as leverage, it's now because little fentanyl is going to kill you. let's not fauci off the hook. a lot of this happened because of the school lockouts in the lockdowns and homes in the highest overdose rate in this country was in 2022. that was because people couldn't go to treatment. they couldn't have meetings. we are in a bad place so we've got to figure out, like san diego did, it's really easy to clean this stuff up. you pass laws, enforce laws and people don't have to stand there and say we can't live like this. there is an intentional destruction of america and it should stop and it can stop. >> greg: speaking of covid this is interesting. everything was shut down basically except for liquor stores, marijuana dispensaries because they were considered essential services. if they had shut them down, you would've had moonshine which is what you are seeing on our streets. we have moonshine fentanyl because there's no access to safe fentanyl so they make their own and everybody dies. logically you can make the conclusion if you made safe legal drugs available you will probably see less overdoses less of these crazy people on the street. >> dana: i think there is merit to that. i don't know what the experiment. portland tried it. >> greg: decriminalization not legalization. >> dana: i would love to say can we get one test area. who's going to volunteer? >> greg: i volunteer where charlie lives. >> charlie: comparing fentanyl to moonshine, and moonshine is healthy. it's really good. >> greg: i apologize. i had no idea. >> charlie: is not dangerous. he doesn't come from china. it's really delicious. >> dana: what the judge was saying about covid in 2022. what else happened in question was the border is wide open. the fentanyl is coming across a know you have the one pill can kill situation. in california, 20% of the deaths were ages 18 to 25. florida, pennsylvania, ohio georgia, it's all the same, all of the statistics. victor davis hanson, he did an interview. i haven't watch the interview. i was reading about it. he was talking about the fall of the byzantine and roman empires and what happened. i was just thinking about how you just went to italy. a lot of people we know have gone to europe. one of the reasons that you go not just the food but to experience the most beautiful monuments and architecture and tremendous civilization progress that was made over those years. what are we doing? we are tearing down our own historic art. they don't deserve to be up there? but do you destroy them and you put them in a park somewhere question we are letting our citizens lying in their own -- you were talking about women going to pilates. every single block there was a man lying in his own excrement. you can't breathe through your nose from here to columbus circle. it's horrendous. we are letting people do that. kudos to entrepreneurs in san francisco trying to figure out a way to make doominade out of doom. >> greg: what do you have to say for all the greatest country anymore. right out of your own mouth. it's devastating. i've spoken about it a lot. san francisco is important city to me. i was just there a few weeks ago. there are parts of it that i used to hang out in the uterus don't go anymore. i wasn't bringing the baby down there. pushing cleo around to see the sights. it's heartbreaking it's happening a lot of cities. it isn't something that's new. you don't get a decline at this level in just a couple years and i understand there's always been democratic government. it's accelerated from the effects of covid. but you do see a dichotomy within the democratic party in terms of how officials will talk about it and i think london breed has not done as good of a job doing that. she was late to the game saying -- now she has added an extra 200 police officers but she was resistant to acknowledging a lot of the problems that were in front of everybody. i have said it before and i'll say it again. these people who are complaining are not republicans in waiting. they are not turning into voters for the other side. they are democrats demanding a better quality of life especially for your tax dollars which are enormous in cities like that. one thing that the owner said that i thought was important said one of the ways we can help with this is companies need to demand the people go back to work. if high-end workers are coming back into the city they will be forced to clean up in a way that you don't have to right now because buildings are empty. you can have squatting. you can have streets full of homeless people. but if you have folks earning six figures and walking past they're not going to be stepping over people who do that. that was interesting and smart. to your point about legalizing drugs. it's a reason why the safe injection sites are important. that it is better. >> greg: it is still the illegal drug. that's the problem. >> jessica: i understand that. and i should note that the fentanyl seizures are up astronomically. 300% in san diego. the dea announced. >> greg: they will just make more. >> jessica: but it does matter. >> dana: but you leave in the new lien the street. >> cesspool of open-air drug market and homeless encampments. while san fran's decay could be a boon to tourism, it's a death sentence to retailers. they are warning they might close for good after 166 years in business. >> our business is a business people love. but if you can get around and you're trying to walk the streets and you step over needles and human waste. often bodies on the streets it's unworkable. >> greg: if that wasn't enough human misery on display, how about philly where businesses are now being forced to set up booby-traps like hidden sprinklers to ward off drug addicts who keep scaring customers. the former drug dealer turned activist comparing the situation in philly to a zombie movie. >> it's the first stop. they come off the train, they come right down here. do whatever you want. you see the chaos, you're going to see people with blood running down their arm. needle in their neck, needling their arm, piped in their mouth. you're dealing with chemical warfare. that's what's happening. you see people falling apart limbs falling off. it looks like a zombie movie. >> greg: speaking of drug addiction, the problem is only getting worse. american safe internal poisonings are the biggest public health risk the country faces, surging to number one followed by obesity gun violence, and cancer. so charlie, i want to go to you first. i think we have to pay the biden administration, meant, they created new jobs with the doom loop tours. these drugs would not have happened if it wasn't for his leadership. >> that's really finding the silver lining. very impressive. you do have to give a nod to american ingenuity. americans -- i guess people of all stripes have always loved horror movies they love freak shows. that's what this is. it's a modern-day freak show circus freak show. it goes to why democrats are so successful, talking about climate change. all the terrifying stuff that they promote on their climate change agenda, it's such a great movie. everybody wants to go see the horror movie. but the idea that you would say well, it's really not as dramatic as they are saying, no one is going to see that movie. nobody wants to see the movie. the larger problem and obviously it's huge problem. it's a complex problem. it's a horrifying problem. you had so many families of all socioeconomic backgrounds, all parts of the country who were affected by this and it's horrifying. there's a limited amount of things that the government can do to tackle this. but everything that the government can do, such as closing the border or allowing a thriving autonomy or prosecuting drug convictions, the biden administration is completely failed to do and when you talk to people who recovered from drug addiction, especially with opioids, the number of them who say then getting arrested and going to jail was what turned me around, it ought to be a lesson for us about where to go forward. >> greg: judge, you look at these store owners in philly it's kind of funny but if you know if anything goes awry they're the ones that go to jail. >> doesn't remind you, there was a guy who took a hose to some homeless people in front of his business and i think he got arrested for something or charged with something. i was a narcotic stretch and it d.a. and i helped create the drug courts in westchester county. you need to leverage. you need the stick. they are not going to go into treatment unless they are faced with jail time and a lot would rather go to jail than treatment. so we had something going for us when we have the big stick and the leverage. what's happening now is we have some normalized drug abuse and drug addiction that we have created these safe injection sites and vending machines with needles and all kinds of laws that literally protect these people and allow them to do this in front of residences and businesses. in front of your house, if you want to put a 3-foot fence you'll get charged and fined for doing that but they can do it all over and destroy things and drugs are more dangerous than ever now. if ever there were a time to at least consider that criminal justice system as leverage, it's now because little fentanyl is going to kill you. let's not fauci off the hook. a lot of this happened because of the school lockouts in the lockdowns and homes in the highest overdose rate in this country was in 2022. that was because people couldn't go to treatment. they couldn't have meetings. we are in a bad place so we've got to figure out, like san diego did, it's really easy to clean this stuff up. you pass laws, enforce laws and people don't have to stand there and say we can't live like this. there is an intentional destruction of america and it should stop and it can stop. >> greg: speaking of covid this is interesting. everything was shut down basically except for liquor stores, marijuana dispensaries because they were considered essential services. if they had shut them down, you would've had moonshine which is what you are seeing on our streets. we have moonshine fentanyl because there's no access to safe fentanyl so they make their own and everybody dies. logically you can make the conclusion if you made safe legal drugs available you will probably see less overdoses less of these crazy people on the street. >> dana: i think there is merit to that. i don't know what the experiment. portland tried it. >> greg: decriminalization not legalization. >> dana: i would love to say can we get one test area. who's going to volunteer? >> greg: i volunteer where charlie lives. >> charlie: comparing fentanyl to moonshine, and moonshine is healthy. it's really good. >> greg: i apologize. i had no idea. >> charlie: is not dangerous. he doesn't come from china. it's really delicious. >> dana: what the judge was saying about covid in 2022. what else happened in question was the border is wide open. the fentanyl is coming across a know you have the one pill can kill situation. in california, 20% of the deaths were ages 18 to 25. florida, pennsylvania, ohio georgia, it's all the same, all of the statistics. victor davis hanson, he did an interview. i haven't watch the interview. i was reading about it. he was talking about the fall of the byzantine and roman empires and what happened. i was just thinking about how you just went to italy. a lot of people we know have gone to europe. one of the reasons that you go not just the food but to experience the most beautiful monuments and architecture and tremendous civilization progress that was made over those years. what are we doing? we are tearing down our own historic art. they don't deserve to be up there? but do you destroy them and you put them in a park somewhere question we are letting our citizens lying in their own -- you were talking about women going to pilates. every single block there was a man lying in his own excrement. you can't breathe through your nose from here to columbus circle. it's horrendous. we are letting people do that. kudos to entrepreneurs in san francisco trying to figure out a way to make doominade out of doom. >> greg: what do you have to say for all the destruction the your party has unleashed on what was the greatest country that ever was, as it slowly, or quickly descends into chaos. >> jessica: headline: greg gutfeld doesn't think america is the greatest country anymore. right out of your own mouth. it's devastating. i've spoken about it a lot. san francisco is important city to me. i was just there a few weeks ago. there are parts of it that i used to hang out in the uterus don't go anymore. i wasn't bringing the baby down there. pushing cleo around to see the sights. it's heartbreaking it's happening a lot of cities. it isn't something that's new. you don't get a decline at this level in just a couple years and i understand there's always been democratic government. it's accelerated from the effects of covid. but you do see a dichotomy within the democratic party in terms of how officials will talk about it and i think london breed has not done as good of a job doing that. she was late to the game saying -- now she has added an extra 200 police officers but she was resistant to acknowledging a lot of the problems that were in front of everybody. i have said it before and i'll say it again. these people who are complaining are not republicans in waiting. they are not turning into voters for the other side. they are democrats demanding a better quality of life especially for your tax dollars which are enormous in cities like that. one thing that the owner said that i thought was important said one of the ways we can help with this is companies need to demand the people go back to work. if high-end workers are coming back into the city they will be forced to clean up in a way that you don't have to right now because buildings are empty. you can have squatting. you can have streets full of homeless people. but if you have folks earning six figures and walking past they're not going to be stepping over people who do that. that was interesting and smart. to your point about legalizing drugs. it's a reason why the safe injection sites are important. that it is better. >> greg: it is still the illegal drug. that's the problem. >> jessica: i understand that. and i should note that the fentanyl seizures are up astronomically. 300% in san diego. the dea announced. >> greg: they will just make more. >> jessica: but it does matter. >> dana: but you leave in the new lien the street. >> jessica: it's not a perfect solution but it can be part of it. it's been proven out before that safe injection sites to help people because at least you're not putting it dirty needle into your arm and they can counselors available. >> greg: the counselor doesn't have any drugs on them, they won't listen to them. >> jessica: may be one does. >> judge jeanine: you can offer them jail instead. they will clean up fast. >> greg: coming up, as democrats blame climate change did their push for green energy help because the hawaii fires? ♪ ♪ did their push for green eney help because the hawaii fires? ♪ ♪ >> dana: did the push for green energy lead to the deadliest wildfire in modern american history? stunning report from "the wall street journal" lays out how hawaii biggest public utility company knew it needed to do more to prevent its power lines from emitting sparks but focused on ending money on renewable energy sources. the official cause of the fire is still under investigation videos are emerging evidence raising questions on whether downed power lines cause the deadly blazes. >> that's a power line that started. it started from up the road. all of that is still burning. >> dana: that's not stopping the climate blame game. >> i do not. they are used primarily first tsunamis. the public is trying to seek higher ground. in fact, the management agency the guideline is provided. if you're in a low lying area near a coastline evacuate ground. the fourth floor or higher. >> dana: a lot to discuss. greg, the politics around climate change seems to be absolving people. >> greg: sirens went off for incoming missiles that never came. then when they need sirens, they don't use them. >> dana: like in a nuclear disaster, you're supposed to go to higher ground? >> greg: there's a lot of stuff going on here. why they waited releasing the water. a lot of it has to do with ideology. when one ideology becomes the overarching principle that all the other problems underneath it become less vital. you have 111 people that have died. but let's focus on climate change. you see what happens. you have a horrible problem these people died. but keep your eye on the big picture. the big picture is climate change. you've got to break a few eggs to make an omelette. this is what -- this is exactly the ideology behind people dying in the ussr in china. focus on the revolution, the great promise of communism, the great leap forward. who cares if people are dying. we have stupidly made all problems, whether it's -- you'll see it, education, crime the border. mental health. secondary to climate. the irony of this is that issue is causing mental health problems. the issue is now the problem and yet if you point out, a lot of people are suffering severe anxiety due to all of this climate change hysteria. focus on climate. ignore the fact that people are going crazy. >> dana: charlie, you and i have known each other since the late '90s and we were both involved in media. i was on the republican side of politics. you've been in journalism the whole time. to watch the evolution of this since about 1993, '94, '95 to where we are today, it's absolutely relentless on the messaging. >> charlie: yeah and often when democrats talk about climate change, they are talking about because they don't want to talk about something else such as field policies or the idea that they have no ideas nor solutions to the problems. but here in maui, the problem it's not some amorphous thing. it's physics. if you have power lines that are jingling all around and you have cluttered dry grass underneath it doesn't get cut because the power companies have diverted all of their money over to green energy proposals, pie-in-the-sky nonsense, then of course you're going to have wildfires. the idea, the thing about the sirens. i want to be careful about spiky letting because there's 1300 people still unaccounted for. many of them are probably children. we have no idea what we are going to find. i think all the speculation has to be tempered a little bit. the idea that the sirens are going to go off and they are going to walk out of their houses and run into a fire seems to be kind of insulting to people. usually people will do anything even on the 90th floor of a building, they'll go away from the fire. even a child, if they walk outside. i find it very disingenuous. john podesta, sitting there. in the white house and exploiting this. more shamelessly than democrats exploit school shootings to push their creepy gun agenda. they never get called on it. they are not apologizing for it. i don't think it's going to quit because it works. >> dana: judge. you had a thought about that. >> judge jeanine: it's not just relentless on the messaging. the climate change is a scapegoat. apparently in 2019 they had some of the worst fires and they did a study. they decided that they needed to do more to prevent their power lines from emitting sparks which would cause these fires. they didn't put the plan in place. instead they invested in renewable energy, green energy. as a result there was no plan basically turning the power off if there was a significant wildfire risk. they needed to have that plan in place. let me tell you what climate change is responsible for, the new scapegoat. climate change is responsible for hate speech. it's -- climate change is responsible has an effect on the babies in the womb. climate change is to blame for rising childhood obesity. for strengthening isis, the taliban. it will cause murderers, rapes and assaults to rise. screenwriters say climate change could cause a real-life shark-nado. you say you shouldn't have turned on the sirens. that's outrageous. enough. >> dana: there was another example, the canadian wildfires from the summer. when the smoke came down from new england, everyone was like my gosh. climate change is so bad. can you give us a second to explain forest management?
