In that meeting critics say Rudy Giuliani tried to convince Georgia Legislators to overturn the election based on what they say are discredited allegations of improper Vote Counting in Fulton County. Others in mr. Trumps circle are accused of allowing a Computer Forensics team unauthorized access to election Equipment Data in georgias rural coffee county. Fulton District Attorney fani willis is expected to broad racketeering laws as she has in previous cases such as a Test Cheating Scandal involving educators in atlanta public schools. She talks about how its a good tool to be able to show a jury the broad scope of an alleged crime. And bring in all sorts of different elements that maybe if she was going for a more tailored charge she wouldnt be able to bring up as evidence in the case. And, bret, because this is a state case, a president ial pardon would do no good for the potential targets of this investigation. And georgia also has strict laws concerning pardons. Bret jonathan, i mentioned at The Beginning but earlier today reuters had this post and they reported that Fulton County temporarily published a list of charges against the former president before removing it from their website. What came about all of that . Yeah. It certainly fueled a lot of speculation. The clerk of courts very rapidly issued a statement calling the document fictitious. The statement went on to say documents that do not bear an official case number, filing date, and the name of the clerk of courts in concert are not considered official filings and should not be treated as such. The trump team quickly fired back in a statement of their own saying this was not a simple administrative mistake. A proposed indictment should only be in the hands of the District Attorneys office; yet, it somehow made its way to the Clerks Office and assigned a case number and a judge before The Grand Jury even deliberated. Bret . Bret but the clerk is saying its fictitious but how does it end up on heir website . Are they saying they were hacked . No, they offered no further details, simply and issuing guidance for the media saying dont consider anything official unless it has the case number, the name of the clerk, and all of these items. A former fbi agent claims in a newly released transcript that a planned interview with hunter biden was sidelined in December 2020 after someone alerted the president s son. That interview was supposed to take place just weeks after the election. But it never happened. Republicans argue the agents Testimony Corroborates Irs whistleblower Gary Shapleys prior interview. I was told the Fbi Headquarters contacted Secret Service and the Transition Team and told them of the pending action the next day. The agent described the situation as unusual. If the now special counsel decides not to go by the deal, then it will mean that he or they decided that something other than the facts and the law are coming into play. The question should be asked. This Afternoon Prosecutors filed a new superseding indictment that dropped a count related to Campaign Finance violations based on a technicality. Still, the new indictment advances seven charges related to conspiracy and fraud and alleges bankmanfried embezzled ftx funds to, in part, quote, help fund over 100 million in Campaign Contributions to democrats and republicans to seek to influence cryptocurrency. Separately the judge granted request from Defense Attorneys that bankmanfried have access to for the treatment of major depression and adderall for attention deficit hyperactivity disorders. The request for bankmanfried has been under Psychiatric Care since february 2019. His lawyers say he needs continued access to this medication so he can help prepare his defense. And this obviously backs up what the whistleblower was saying to congress. Its corroboration of this idea and this allegation that has been made and proven now with multiple testimony from an fbi whistleblower as a 20year career. Irs whistleblower who put everything on the table to come forward to congress and to talk with you about this case being handled inappropriately. And with political influence in a place where david weiss, the u. S. Attorney was in charge of this. This is now the person who is the special counsel, who blew past the statutes of limitations which when you talk to federal prosecutors, they say thats the cardinal sin of when you are a doj prosecutor to do that. And actually would result in your firing in a lot of cases and, yet, now we have david weiss in charge of this moving forward. It also cuts against this argument that the Biden Administration has made from the white house repeatedly that this has been an independent investigation. That this is something that has been handled properly and that they are going to let the system play out when clearly there is many different corroborations now of the same story that they have been denying. Bret stef the Ranking Member Congressman Raskin put out a statement saying the chairmans release of this fbi agent transcript News Potential fourth criminal indictment of donald trump features the same selective and parsing of information we have come to in republicans fruitless investigation into President Biden which has mild to turn up a single shred of evidence of wrongdoing. I get what theyre trying to do and how they release these statements but a single shred of evidence of wrongdoing . Thats a little much. I mean, it certainly yet another example of republicans and democrats looking at the same material, looking at the same transcript and coming away with different views on what that actually means. Republicans view this as another example to them where there was favoritism shown towards hunter biden. Of course, democrats are going through that transcript and highlighting their own sections where they feel like, you know that, that special veto agent was actually, you know, giving important context that there are other ways that they do take into Consideration Factors like an election and hot person that they are actually getting a Search Warrant for. So i mean we are going to continue to see these warring versions of the stories and republicans huge win for them. Bret when you lose the Washington Post editorial board, they write hunter biden should not get special treatment. The imperative of this case remains what it has always been, to treat hunter biden as far as possible like any other defendant. Mr. Weiss has all the independence and resources he needs. A lot of my friends on the left are saying this is actually an overreported story. The relate is we want to talk about how Donald Trumps indictments run precedented and they are, the son of a sitting president who has been indicted for shady foreign dealings where he routinely invokes his father rather unprecedented as well. Bret and not facing fara charges. The part of the naming of a special counsel shows that the republican investigation. Credit here if it werent for the work that we were seeing from House Oversight. Its very clear there wouldnt be a special counsel. I would welcome this as a republican and say and were going to keep on this. Bret you know, we are waiting as mentioned on the fourth indictment out of georgia. This comes as this thing was posted today on the website. It was just so bizarre. Trumps attorneys saying the Fulton County District Attorneys office has once again shown that they have had no respect for the integrity of The Grand Jury process. Not a simple administrative mistake. It goes on. The court saying it was fictitious document that circulated online. Reported by various media outlets. The problem is it was on its website. It was on the. Gov website for Fulton County and they are saying its fictitious it needs to have an official case number where the document if you loom at It Case Number Donald John Trump on it and a list of charges. So, moving forward, if this indictment comes out, it will be interesting to compare the actual indictment with what they were posting. But the trump team has, you know, misgivings about the fact that it was posted before The Grand Jury. Bret voted. Voted and finished deliberations. This seems like a huge problem.
