it is offensive to the majority of men it is offensive to a lot of women or at least they just think it is silly. even many people who consider themselves lgbt year normal gait men or lesbian women this stuff does not appeal to them if anything it is that parity and a mockery of what some people already imagine in their heads. stuff like this is not helping at all. if they need to lose hundreds of millions and billions of dollars to realize that fact, then i don't think that's a problem a big fan of the free market i see lots of alternatives that are continuing to pop up in all these different sectors and industries. so if this is the sword they want to fall down and die own, that is up to them. before they could die on that me and onwards for the last topic if we can mask versus dock. they look like they're doing this thing in rome they are saying. they talk to the president of italy possibly doing this. we don't famously zuckerberg has been training a lot. elon musk says he has neck and back injuries. if you are to train elon how you just interviewed what advice would you give him? >> you know i am happy to hear about it. we might not be delighted with that personal selection. he might not be pursuing the case as it doggedly as we would like. it does seem as we are making progress. almost every day it seems like there's more information coming out congressional bodies are reviewing more information about the financial forensics about the bribery scheme. you already mention the video which has been widely distributed this week. i am hopeful that more and more americans are going to tune into the story. and i really think they showed it. it is important on many levels it is important for understanding the american presidency. it may also be important for understanding the war in ukraine. i do not view these issues as entirely separate. that was the essence of my piece in newsweek. i believe ukrainian officials have what is called on the biden' switches embarrassing material which they could possibly share in order to blackmail joe biden. right now you might think why would joe biden need to be blackmailed, right? >> first of all it's affirmation this is not a debate this is a news conference in which were strictly limited in your responses to the questions. if you are going to make an attack make an attack on somebody who matters and that means donald trump weather is there or not. and keep a focus if you can on what it is you think gives you the best chance to cause people to flock to your standard this is a lesson about scoring points with attacks on others then it is giving people a vision of what it is you want to achieve and what you would do as president they find as compelling. that may involve attacking somebody made involve describing what you have done what you want to do. the main focus ought to be by every candidate what is my message that will allow me too grab some of the people out there shopping for a choice have not yet firmly made up their mind. brian: you would focus on trump not desantis who has been number two pretty consistently? >> if you beat number two you do not necessarily become number two but if you beat up on number one and do it effectively it you might become number two or number one. i think the conversation if donald trump does not show up they ought to put their focus on desantis as a number two is misplaced. brian: karl, kind of interesting you want to beat trump you do not want to lose his voters. and i know you liked a lot of trump policies. so having said that, do you want to do that will hurt chris christie trump assertively got to get rid of him or i like a lot of what is done i'm just a better messenger now i'm younger and have got more energy? >> the answer to that is yes. some people do the first part stumbled to the second part. how effectively they are at doing that in a way that causes people to say i'd like to trump but christie has got a point he did not do x or i like trump but desantis or haley or scott have a point they can do this better. they do not have as much of baggage and they seem to be doing -- wanting to do things i think need to be hampered everyone needs to figure out what is their most comfortable strategy. there is no one answer the right answer is who they are and what are they comfortable saying and what makes them the most powerful connected to voters and a build on that pig which is the first debate may be obtained your pity later on in debates with president biden specifically this headlight and political caught my attention biden world sees the making of a wider path to victory in 2024. they think the victory is through the issue of abortion. number one do you see at the it thesame way? do you see a wider victory for biden? >> first i want to go but back to something he said. biden has been part of the debate on the 23rd people will make a mistake if they spend too much time attacking trump for example whether he's there or not and not enough time attacking biden. by attacking by did you get a sense of what you think is wrong with the country and what you want to do to put things right. as to abortion is going to be a problem. what have we learned from kansas and now ohio vote if the republicans do not have a good answer on abortion and that look like they're over reaching the other hand what one from ohio governor race in georgia gubernatorial race? something about this generation that have trouble being self-motivated? >> i think if you set up an education system that is designed to do nothing but demoralized young people and to convince them their ambition is dangerous and even world threatening for that matter. a manifestation of patriarchal oppression on the social front and a danger to the survival of the planets on the natural front. and you don't do anything to foster that ambition and to channel it into a manner that might be productive and to tell young people why their ambition might be useful you're going to get exactly that. so we hit what you aim at if you try hard enough for the education system is trying to demoralize people for 60 years. one of the things that really stuns me of not been of the figure it out yet i've been trying to talk to republican governors about this. i cannot understand why conservatives have been daft enough to allow the faculties of education to retain their hammerlock on teacher certification for the last 60 years it is insane. >> the criteria to get the certification? >> you have to be trained in a faculty of education to become a teacher. why? they are the most woke element of the entire rotten university carcass appeared they have the hammerlock on 50% of the state budgets. the conservatives are already always combined b about culture wars. you handed all the young people to the faculties of education. their research is terrible. it is low rates. their students are generally very incompetent comparatively speaking on the academic front. it is foolish and this is the outcome it is not surprising for. >> it's to work on the foundation of rnc chair or dnc chair if you have an agenda do not get mr. and mrs. candidate elected. start focusing on the direction with the country in and find out how to give people an education that will allow them to a very least think but not what to think. >> the left-wingers in the 1960s were farseeing enough the more radical to envision a decades long march through the institutions. one of their goals was to capture educational institutions that has happen completely and that has been abandoned by conservatives who tend to get lost in the details. well then, you think now you have young people who are demoralized and directional list while they're never taught anything about how to acquire a direction. we did a study i used a program i developed we did a steady we had three studies actually. university students sit down essentially for 90 minutes that was it right out a series of goals for their life. who could they be in five years? across the seven important dimensions of their life where might they be that we terrible they did not get their act together question we drop the dropout rate 50% raise the grade point average by 35%, three separate studies. that's all you have to do if you want to motivate young people is to teach them a bit of visionary discipline and encourage it. we do the opposite of that would terrify them trigger warnings we tell them everything is dangerous. it's very talk about accommodations. seven is add they're told. dyslexia or other things the public school now there's a lot of accommodations i'm going to give you more time for your test or thanks of that nature trouble tracking across the line. you think accommodations in many cases do not show progress. can be limiting, why? >> the problem with the accommodation hypothesis is something like the advantage is, you want to do what you can to help people who might have obstacles that could be overcome to learn. that is not unreasonable. but the problem with the accommodation hypothesis is, what happens when you have an actual problem to solve? yyou're not going to be accommodated in a workforce that requires genuine competition. if you are accommodated in the workforce requires genuine competition that's going to be taken at this time for that. there should always be time for it not if there are important things at stake. that is foolish, right? when you are making important decisions you are balancing one catastrophe against another. you do not have the option everything is going to turn out. the problem with accommodation first votes being gamed like mad. and second it gives a person is being accommodated to the wrong picture of the world to which they're going to adapt. think about this with parenthood. how should you treat your kids? as a mother and father you should be a proxy for the world may be a slightly more proxy. basically the message you sent to their kids about their behavior is the same message that the world is going to send them, should be. otherwise you're not preparing them for the world. so it may but your kid is annoying to you and your wife you do not do anything about it you think we are all mercy that is just fine until your kid has to make a friend or deal with an adult that's not you in which case they're going to get slaughtered for there's nothing merciful about that. if you accommodate people beyond what the environment itself would allow you misinform them about the world they're going to inhabit plus it can be gamed is being gamed constantly. brian: online school you and your daughter working together which we know and how do we get it?
