>> kara: no, if his rhetoric is to believe elon musk, this is unequivocal victory for those adhering to free speech. the biggest thing, the first amendment matters again. have you people saying, including barack obama, the first amendment doesn't apply to private companies, but as brooke singmaned, it is bedrock of functioning democracy. he even said this and i think he will adhere to it. if he uses this as standard for the company, people who don't necessarily agree with leftist ideology can engage in free exchange of ideas on twitter and that is phenomenal. >> todd: what happens to twitter censures? >> well, listen, title 42 really is the only mechanism right now that is keeping our country from being completely overwhelmed and inundated even though it already is being overwhelmed and inundated. this is the last barrier that's in place. when elizabeth warren talks about it being inhumane and not consistent with our values. i wish the democrats supporting removal of title 42 would come out and say we want an open border. we believe everyone should come on in unscreened, unvetted and unsettled in the united states. that's really what they're saying. i will say this about title 42. eventually it will expire. eventually the cdc is going to say that maybe covid isn't such risk anymore and we should all move back on with our lives. which i agree with that's why there does need to be comprehensive immigration reform. we need remain in mexico. we need a process to make sure that our country is not being completely overwhelmed and not a free for all at our southern border. we need to finish the wall and certainly in places where it has not been built or sitting there rusting because the democrats refuse to continue its construction. so we do need immigration reform. we need it to be consistent with our values but we need it oit be con sis with the values that we need to have a sovereign border that is enforced. first and foremost, all americans, especially those representing us in congress and the white house should want that. for some reason, one side or the other not really following through on that promise to keep america safe. >> todd: meantime the left melting down over elon musk takeover conservatives celebrating it as a win for free speech. i would say not just for free speech but for freedom period, your thoughts? >> i'm very cautiously optimistic. we will have to see what elon musk does. this is my request to him and i think it will make a big difference. i would like him to expose all of the algorithms and censorship and shadow banning that has done with on on twitter. especially in the last several years. i wish he would expose it all. i think the american people and especially conservatives like myself who have dealt with social media censorship we would like to know what's been done. we would like to see it all exposed. let's start there and actually move forward with making it a free speech platform it is going to be excellent and still remains to be seen. hope he will return to his promise marketplace of ideas but we will have to wait to see how it shakes out. i do wish, again, that he would expose everything that's gone on because the american people deserve to know. >> carley: what do you make of people in the media and liberals criticizing elon musk for promoting free speech?
