>> i love the new kickoff rule from the spring league last year where you kick off from 25-yard line. everything is going to be returned. 95% are returned in the spring league last year. it's going to be the same this year. we line up the teams close together. they are running down field after the is kicked. i think it's going to be as safe kickoff return. something that we are going to monitor. i think that so many kickoff returns from the 25-yard line, the drive start is going to be out by the 40 or 45-yard line. it's going to hope the offense and it's one of the innovations that we are trying to get the kickoff back and they gave but tried to keep it safe also. >> teams have two options to retain possession of the ball after us going. option number 2, running fourth down and 12 from their own 33-yard line. explain that. >> we are going to basically say after you get a touchdown and an extra point, maybe you're not even behind. but do you want to try to get the ball back. the traditional onside kick right now is very difficult to recover. we know that with the stats that are in the nfl. that's but a scrimmage play on board. let's give you the ball for that and 12 at the 33-yard line and play football. if you make a first down, you actually can keep the ball. the risk is high because if you get sacked for example as a quarterback, the defense is going to get the ball there. 9 of 1 of those things. it has been done before. it's not brand-new. others bring leagues have tried it. as a good addition for those teams that maybe don't like their chances on the onside kick, regular onside kick to get the ball. >> brian: the teams are playing scrimmage and getting them used to these new rules over time. the best you can, can you explain the overtime rules? >> the best i can and think about soccer game. it is a shoot out. that is what we have, and a three place shoot shoot-out. each team gets three plays. everyone they scores successfully snap from the 2-yard line. at the end of three series, the team with the most points wins. if it's tied to, then you go into sudden death series. we had it in our rehearsal game this past weekend. we ran it and it was really exciting and the team that won won on the very last play of the third series. it's a different approach, different looked over time which we know everybody has been talking about. >> quarterbacks going to be calling out the signals. you will hear it. it's going to be exciting. i know you are excited. 7:30, fox's first game. generals against the stallions in birmingham. thank you for joining us today. more "fox & friends" in just a moment. protects you from a lot... of that. armor all. minimum effort. maximum protection. before treating your chronic migraine, 15 or more headache days a month each lasting 4 hours or more, you're not the only one with questions about botox®. botox® prevents headaches in adults with chronic migraine before they even start, with about 10 minutes of treatment once every 3 months. so, ask your doctor if botox® is right for you, and if a sample is available. effects of botox® may spread hours to weeks after injection causing serious symptoms. alert your doctor right away, as difficulty swallowing, speaking, breathing, eye problems, or muscle weakness can be signs of a life-threatening condition. side effects may include allergic reactions, neck and injection site pain, fatigue, and headache. don't receive botox® if there's a skin infection. tell your doctor your medical history, muscle or nerve conditions and medications, including botulinum toxins, as these may increase the risk of serious side effects. in a survey, 92% of current users said they wish they'd talked to their doctor and started botox® sooner. plus, right now, you may pay zero dollars for botox®. ask your doctor about botox® today. >> it was a quick three hours. we'll be back on the couch tomorrow. >> see you tomorrow. happy holy week. listen to brian on the radio. >> bill: good morning. 9:00 a.m. here in new york city. inflation is through the roof. new number out moments ago. the number is not pretty. ask yourself what were you doing in 1981? where were you, perino? i'm bill hemmer live in new york. that's the last time it was this high. >> dana: i was actually thinking. i would have been 9 and i think that was around the time head bands were really in. i'll never forget my dad took me to buy the head band and let me wear it all the time. that's what i remember from 1981.
