>> abby. feel schools are taking away the parental rights as school board member has a message for that, i do not work for you. david: we will talk about that message, first as crime and democrat run cities grows loved ones mourn the loss of nypd rookie officer jason rivera and pray for wilbur mora who remains in critical condition after being shot in the line of duty, hundreds of police officers lining the streets today to salute officer rivera as his body was escorted to a funeral home, heartbreaking video surfacing showing rivera giving a motivating message to his fellow high school students when he was in high school just a few years ago. >> i want you all to do it when i was a freshman i did not have no one to motivate me. i want to motivate you i want you to hear my voice and know that you will get through it. you gotta put in the work you have to put in 100% effort. trace: new york city's mayor eric adams is making the shooting of the police officers political focusing less about soft on crime policy and more about guns. >> i'm gonna roll out a real plan this week, working a after the underlying reasons you're seeing crime in our city. this is a sea of crime that's been bad by many rivers. we have to stop the flow of guns we are removing thousands of guns off our street and it appears as though for every gun we remove from the street five are coming in. we will reinstitute a newer version of the modified playing close intake gun unit. i talked about this on the campaign trail and now we will deploy that. trace: david i want to go to you to talk about aaron adams wanting to go after the guns and not the people who fire the guns. before i do that this heartrending social media post was put on instagram by jason rivera's widow. we will read that and get your response. she writes, last night was supposed to be your day five and you were are do, your day off for the next three days, we both waited for your are do to spend them together but now your soul will spend the rest of my days without me throughout me, right beside me, i love you until the end of time. you read these kinds of things in you this political reaction and you wonder where the outrage is as you have hundreds of police officers lining the streets as the body goes by. david: this is a hard one when you where she did this in the precinct. this is a woman who lost everything right now for the moment they were young starting out their lives together when you look at who we was in the high school video and who he is, he presented himself as someone looking to make his life better in the lives of others better. that is a family that you want and a protector that you want in the community. you talk about mayor eric adams and is always going to go after the guns. when you go after the guns you go after the criminals, guns don't come to the streets by themselves and they don't leave the streets by themselves. in the past through proper policing and prior administrations tens of thousands of guns have been taken off the streets per year and those illegal guns can be dealt with but the criminals if they're not dealt with go right back on the streets and they import the guns don't call for the federal government, the city of new york has one of the best if not the best on the planet there quite capable of doing the job if you talk to these guys they want to do the job and they want to keep the community safe rather than listen to politicians and as i said before and i'll say it again i never have faith in eric adams, i paid attention to who he was, when he was an officer, lack of an arrest and conviction record, where is his real record, it's all political makeup. >> tomi lahren you've talked about this gun issue time and time again i heard you we talk about chicago day in and day out that has the toughest gun laws in the nation and the crime there is out of control. it is interesting because these names that come up melissa ortega, caleb westbrook, james reaser, mary marcel wilson, these are children in chicago who had been shot and killed just this year end the past 22 days and yet we keep hearing about gun laws, gun laws, gun laws. tomi: is really unfortunate for those on the left of the democrat politicians go after the rights of law-abiding decent americans who really hold the second amendment above a lot of things because they believe in personal protection in their personal rights and freedom in the conversation and a lot of things in this country happening right now. but the reaction to go after the guns. explain this to me it makes no sense when we have a police officer who killed a suspect is about the police officer but when we had a suspect to kill the police officer somehow that was about the guns mayor eric adams is a democrat and wants to placate the democrats so being tough on crime and criminals might not be politically advantageous for him but going after guns is not cortisol the problem if he wants to clean up new york city he has to clean up these policies in new york and you cma california, you have to get rid of the crime reclassification reclassifying felonies a misdemeanor, cashless bales activist das who are being elected in breeding and destroying cities. they had to be held accountable but the american people need to make the connection as well they need to make a connection between people who they're voting for the policies getting on the street. if not willing to make the connection were not able to make that connection nothing will change. trace: that's a good point, we don't recognize the names of these police officers as well as we do the victims that get shot by police because benjamin crump isn't showing up to represent the families of police officers a black lives matter is not showing up to have protest for these children who were killed in chicago is before you bring up a really great point. we do on this network we bring a lot of tension to the police officers and i'm glad that we do i'm happy that we save the video from jason rivera because that shows the type of person who decides to become a police officer, selfless, motivating, talking to these other kids and he is someone to look up to and we hope you rest in peace and we pray for officer mora as well. just a quick comment to what eric adams had to say. david brought up a really great point, kind of reminds me when we hear about the root causes of immigration, he is trying to address the root cause, for something got out of hand you have to adjust immediate problems first and that's a criminal there's a person pulling the trigger and that criminal and more times and not as a rap sheet that is a mile long and by the way is not just the related violence in new york city and cities across the country it is the brazen smash and grab, just this morning again a 61-year-old man in new york city was pushed into the train tracks he luckily was able to escape but michele gile last week was not so lucky. we have to address these and if you are mayor eric adams you say maybe we address the guns but we need to address the policies because that is the real issue here. david: go ahead david. david: i helped around this investigation at the bronx at the request of some of the officers there. when you have a system where the prosecutors and the low cash bail no bail but the system that is so backlogged that there is 70% in the bronx alone with criminals arrested back on the street the next day you combine that with alvin j brexit new policies which is a roadmap first felons engine felonies and misdemeanors to be committed in eric adams going after the gun and a systemic problem of the prosecutor's office lacking resources they need more resources and adding to the policies to put criminals back on the street that is a dangerous cocktail new york city and by the way same with many of the cities in america. trace: we have about 30 seconds left i wonder if you feel like the pendulum might be swinging the other way when you see there is a push to recall georgia gascoigne in los angeles, they have the signatures already to recall jason booting in san francisco these are liberal cities that are fed up, do you think we are swinging back the other way? >> i do but i also think those that are voting or making great strides and recalls we saw potential recall of gavin newsom in california but not enough to recall the horrible path under politicians you have to replace it with nobody better it doesn't seem to be somebody with ed behind their name. you have to replace it with people that believe in law in order and believe in holding these criminals accountable and protecting victims and decent americans that is a connection that voters need to make and they need to wrap their arms around the law enforcement officers in the community those officers don't care about political affiliation and gender preference didn't care about race they care about protecting and serving we need to do a better job to make sure they know how appreciated they truly are. trace: our hearts going to jason rivera and his family the best of them. straight ahead on "the cities grows loved ones mourn the loss of nypd rookie officer jason rivera and pray for wilbur mora who remains in critical condition after being shot in the line of duty, hundreds of police officers lining the streets today to salute officer rivera as his body was escorted to a funeral home, heartbreaking video surfacing showing rivera giving a motivating message to his fellow high school students when he was in high school just a few years ago. >> i want you all to do it when i was a freshman i did not have no one to motivate me. i want to motivate you i want you to hear my voice and know that you will get through it. you gotta put in the work you have to put in 100% effort. trace: new york city's mayor eric adams is making the shooting of the police officers political focusing less about soft on crime policy and more about guns. >> i'm gonna roll out a real plan this week, working a after the underlying reasons you're seeing crime in our city. this is a sea of crime that's been bad by many rivers. we have to stop the flow of guns we are removing thousands of guns off our street and it appears as though for every gun we remove from the street five are coming in. we will reinstitute a newer version of the modified playing close intake gun unit. i talked about this on the campaign trail and now we will deploy that. trace: david i want to go to you to talk about aaron adams wanting to go after the guns and not the people who fire the guns. before i do that this heartrending social media post was put on instagram by jason rivera's widow. we will read that and get your response. she writes, last night was supposed to be your day five and you were are do, your day off for the next three days, we both waited for your are do to spend them together but now your soul will spend the rest of my days without me throughout me, right beside me, i love you until the end of time. you read these kinds of things in you this political reaction and you wonder where the outrage is as you have hundreds of police officers lining the streets as the body goes by. david: this is a hard one when you where she did this in the precinct. this is a woman who lost everything right now for the moment they were young starting out their lives together when you look at who we was in the high school video and who he is, he presented himself as someone looking to make his life better in the lives of others better. that is a family that you want and a protector that you want in the community. you talk about mayor eric adams and is always going to go after the guns. when you go after the guns you go after the criminals, guns don't come to the streets by themselves and they don't leave the streets by themselves. in the past through proper policing and prior administrations tens of thousands of guns have been taken off the streets per year and those illegal guns can be dealt with but the criminals if they're not dealt with go right back on the streets and they import the guns don't call for the federal government, the city of new york has one of the best if not the best on the planet there quite capable of doing the job if you talk to these guys they want to do the job and they want to keep the community safe rather than listen to politicians and as i said before and i'll say it again i never have faith in eric adams, i paid attention to who he was, when he was an officer, lack of an arrest and conviction record, where is his real record, it's all political makeup. >> tomi lahren you've talked about this gun issue time and time again i heard you we talk about chicago day in and day out that has the toughest gun laws in the nation and the crime there is out of control. it is interesting because these names that come up melissa ortega, caleb westbrook, james reaser, mary marcel wilson, these are children in chicago who had been shot and killed just this year end the past 22 days and yet we keep hearing about gun laws, gun laws, gun laws. tomi: is really unfortunate for those on the left of the democrat politicians go after the rights of law-abiding decent americans who really hold the second amendment above a lot of things because they believe in personal protection in their personal rights and freedom in the conversation and a lot of things in this country happening right now. but the reaction to go after the guns. explain this to me it makes no sense when we have a police officer who killed a suspect is about the police officer but when we had a suspect to kill the police officer somehow that was about the guns mayor eric adams is a democrat and wants to placate the democrats so being tough on crime and criminals might not be politically advantageous for him but going after guns is not cortisol the problem if he wants to clean up new york city he has to clean up these policies in new york and you cma california, you have to get rid of the crime reclassification reclassifying felonies a misdemeanor, cashless bales activist das they're voting for the policies getting on the street. if not willing to make the connection were not able to make that connection nothing will change. trace: that's a good point, we don't recognize the names of these police officers as well as we do the victims that get shot by police because benjamin crump isn't showing up to represent the families of police officers a black lives matter is not showing up to have protest for these children who were killed in chicago is before you bring up a really great point. we do on this network we bring a lot of tension to the police officers and i'm glad that we do i'm happy that we save the video from jason rivera because that shows the type of person who decides to become a police officer, selfless, motivating, talking to these other kids and he is someone to look up to and we hope you rest in peace and we pray for officer mora as well. just a quick comment to what eric adams had to say. david brought up a really great point, kind of reminds me when we hear about the root causes of immigration, he is trying to address the root cause, for something got out of hand you have to adjust immediate problems first and that's a criminal there's a person pulling the trigger and that criminal and more times and not as a rap sheet that is a mile long and by the way is not just the related violence in new york city and cities across the country it is the brazen smash and grab, just this morning again a 61-year-old man in new york city was pushed into the train tracks he luckily was able to escape but michele gile last week was not so lucky. we have to address these and if you are mayor eric adams you say maybe we address the guns but we need to address the policies because that is the real issue here. david: go ahead david. david: i helped around this investigation at the bronx at the request of some of the officers there. when you have a system where the prosecutors and the low cash bail no bail but the system that is so backlogged that there is 70% in the bronx alone with criminals arrested back on the street the next day you combine that with alvin j brexit new policies which is a roadmap first felons engine felonies and misdemeanors to be committed in eric adams going after the gun and a systemic problem of the prosecutor's office lacking resources they need more resources and adding to the policies to put criminals back on the street that is a dangerous cocktail new york city and by the way same with many of the cities in america. trace: we have about 30 seconds left i wonder if you feel like the pendulum might be swinging the other way when you see there is a push to recall georgia gascoigne in los angeles, they have the signatures already to recall jason booting in san francisco these are liberal cities that are fed up, do you think we are swinging back the other way? >> i do but i also think those that are voting or making great strides and recalls we saw potential recall of gavin newsom in california but not enough to recall the horrible path under politicians you have to replace it with nobody better it doesn't seem to be somebody with ed behind their name. you have to replace it with people that believe in law in order and believe in holding these criminals accountable and protecting victims and decent americans that is a connection that voters need to make and they need to wrap their arms around the law enforcement officers in the community those officers don't care about political affiliation and gender preference didn't care about race they care about protecting and serving we need to do a better job to make sure they know how appreciated they truly are. trace: our hearts going to jason rivera and his family the best of them. straight ahead on "the december approved 47% and disapproved 51%. what we see american see the reality that they live with let's bring this out to everybody. trace i want to start with you you hit a lot of this reporting during your regular work when you follow what the president is saying from a policy perspective as well as what the american people see and feel economically with coronavirus and mandates, how did the people react and are they reacting as these polls show? >> if you look at all the poll numbers you go through and you decipher these things, the big one is for me the drop in the number of democrats supporting joe biden. it's a ten-point drop among democrats and did you have the drop among independents and right there that is game set match initial shift election were held tomorrow biden would lose. somehow you gotta get your base your own team telling you you need to do a better job, that is more significant that the overall approval rating and also he is upside down on covid foreign policy and the economy and border security and every issue he is upside down this administration desperately needs a win the analogy on a big football weekend with this administration with the football team right now they would be 0 e people support them would be looking toward next next year end a new team and a new coach it is dire as you look at these numbers for this administration. david: affair supreme court were the referees and carrying that further the ruling against the abiding administration and they're not winning on review. let's look at 2024 if it were held today among democrats 72% would reelect biden, 23% vote for someone else that is among democrats but there are independents out there that factor in and democrats are not voting the way democrats typically vote especially in suburban america. tomi: i was surprised by the pool. 72% would reelect joe biden that just shows that right now they don't have an idea for a better candidate which could be an issue if biden approval rating continues to tank as i have. i think trace put up a great point. these are issues people are feeling when you like to do president the first year that there in the white house or in office, you don't really feel about revealing it in inflation and crime, parents are extremely frustrated. i know joe biden touted that 95% of schools are open but last week there still over 4400 schools were closed in unesco and unicef, the number that they said is estimated the pandemic generation will lose $17 trillion in future earnings because of knowledge deficit. these are things that parents are seeing everyday americans cannot twice been reflected in the polls. david: tommy, this is been a key issue on the border, right now biden 59% disapproval of how he handles the border, 37% given approval where are the 37% they are clearly not living right across the border in el paso or anywhere near the border. on that key issue, how does he recover it is he willing, i don't think he is. tomi: i think that is part of the problem i don't think he's worried about recovering his image to the american people when it comes to border security, i think the democrats bigger plan is to get as many legal immigrants across the border and with 30 doing now is fight for their so-called voting rights initiative, you see that new york city has a noncitizen been allowed to vote, that's a bigger part of the game plan to the point of being unfavorable with the american people andrew democrats and democrats are honest with themselves and joe biden is doing a horrible job the problem here is i believe democrats as we get closer to midterm in 2024 from the field biden administration there to convince americans that somehow their progressivism and their democrat party is not the party of joe biden, it is their policies and their agenda that is failing not just as president not just the man in the white house, not just the vice president the policy and the agenda and that is on the democrat party as a whole they can just move away from biden avenue to be accountable for their agenda in the american people we need to make sure that they come in terms and come 2024. david: we
