don't seem to care, despite there being a tragic new example of their policies every single day. like 24-year-old ucla grad student brianna kupfer randomly stabbed to death working a furniture store in los angeles. our oaken father blaming politicians for letting criminals run rampant appearance because this kind of tragedy cannot befall more people. it is so painful. i'm not going to name anybody by name that i blame. but in the the society now, getg back right and bestowing favor on people that rob others of their rights. >> jesse: the police believe his killer is a homeless man and calmly walked out the back door. but they are still trying to track him down. >> don't like that is not the only example of lawlessness, wild, wild west return to california, train robberies up 160% in l.a. the trucks are littered with filth and discarded packages. the railroad companies blaming no bail policies that allow the thieves that keep coming back. all right, greg, you were back when train robberies swept the nation. so, maybe this nostalgia for joe biden. i remember but i just don't see how this could possibly be happening. >> greg: he would care if this was amtrak, you know that, right? that is where he sits and tells everybody about corn pop. i get the feeling we are going to without the handbasket. [under fire for his crime policies. how did he react when they didn't like what he was doing, he didn't change course but hired crisis p.r. and more concerned about the perception then human suffering. that would be like exxon valdez doing press conferences every day without cleaning up the oil spill. this isn't about perception but human suffering. meanwhile, that poor father, he is right. the response in all of the cities is wc yd, what can you d, right? you can't lock them up because there are so many activists out there that say that is a violation of rights. and we have mayors more terrified of activists than they are of murderers. so, to have them piling on all of this context, right? when we do the show, we complained about being taken out of context. in this case, the context needs to be taken out of the story. in the last decade we allowed the media and activism to a deranged meal salvage of murdering a female. those are the only variables you need. once you start adding more, it is about society, inequality, ineffective policing, what you do is create leadership paralysis. nobody can do anything. it is about the rights. that is what the father said, it is about the rights of the person who murdered his daughter. what about the rights of his late daughter in the asian women that are getting killed? perhaps if it was white supremacist, the media would care, but they don't right now. we have to drill down on the simplest equation. the deranged man on the street, women getting murdered. you don't need to add anymore context unless you are hanging out with a deranged mail and explain how it is about society and inequality. good luck with that. right now we need to get these people off the streets and in institutions. one less thing for institutions, if they are closed we need to open them up. he was focusing on the institutions abusing teenagers and young people with disease. we don't know where these other mental institutions. why aren't they open? we want these people to get help. we don't want to hurt them. we want them to stop hurting other people. >> jesse: is that a consideration in los angeles or throughout the metropolitan areas, geraldo question work >> geraldo: there is no place for them to go, jesse. greg is absolutely right about that. when they deinstitutionalized, the population once described as mentally retarded or down syndrome or autism, they need to be in a small facility, community-based facility. here you are talking about schizophrenic, bipolar, you are talking about people deemed crazy who are off their meds. they have no place to go. eric adams is right when he says of new york and other big cities, the number one job of government is to keep people safe. if you don't give people a sense of safety and vagrancy is one thing of homelessness and aggressive panhandlers and the people who come up with the squeegee and wipe the windows, all of those things were crimes and forest from the of ed cox on. you know, recent times have been ignored by these woke d.a.s one with the other where they say these crimes are also so insignificant. if you don't go for the kid jumping the turnstile in the subway, no one will use the subway because they feel unsafe. you will have that nut job that pushes the asian woman off of the tracks. you have to take care of, you know, more specific well-being spirit we have to keep people not only safe but with a sense of being safe. we need a cop on every subway station, a cop on every train. the tracks, railroad tracks, union pacific, didn't they use to be railroad police? where's the company's responsibility? why aren't they controlling the container cars also? it seems to me law enforcement generally has been put on the back burner because of the handful of cases of police abuse, the law enforcement got a bad rap, and now they have overreacted. they are letting these punks do whatever they want to. and in the case of the poor father, what a kick in the got his daughter was stabbed, in graduate school, working hard though my card, contributing to society and some bumps, some piece of crap comes over and stabs her to death and walks ou. this is untenable. the small wonder that there is dissatisfaction with government. >> jesse: kennedy, you know the scene out there in l.a. i'm sure you see in the media market and this beautiful young woman spaces everywhere. her life is right in front of her, her whole life. is there any feeling among the leaders in los angeles that we have to do something now at this point? do they feel anything? or is this contextualized like greg said? >> kennedy: it is interesting because some do, alex, the elected l.a. county sheriff, he has been working tirelessly with his department to clean up the homeless encampments. the l.a. city council member, it is like you tried to clear things out, but the aclu, they have taken the wrong side here. you know, there is a way of defending freedom here or there is a way of pushing back against government. but what they are allowing the politicians to do is completely shirk the responsibility. i raised my and she went to beach camp down the street. she was raised to do exactly what she was supposed to do. her parents moved to a safe part of the city and went to college. she was getting her masters in architecture. she was working at a high end furniture store. she was doing what she was supposed to do. and so, a 19-year-old kid working burger king. she was doing the right thing. same with michelle alyssa go. here is a woman working hard. the parents were proud and raise them right. and now, it is like they are victims. they are gone. they don't have a future. they are not going to have kids. that is a travesty that we cannot accept appearance of whatever these politicians are doing, they are doing it wrong. so i hope continues to speak out and be the voice for his daughter and other victims who are forgotten. >> jesse: emily do the lawyers own any of this? all of those families have zero -- and the tax dollars went up in smoke and could not provide for the safety while jurisdictions were fighting over things. let me explain another policy aspect. talk about criminal justice reform on sale laws and the like. when you reclassify crime, that is the heart of this matter. we all know there are issues, right? two-thirds of violent felons are arrested within five years of original offense. that was before covid. now that is even higher. so the notion that people who rob and battery in stock and engage in domestic violence and the likes, the fact that they go free, those, that is why when we hear about these murderers, people pushing off subway platforms, that guy was arrested 16 times for battery, stalking and the like. but now stalking is not a felony. battery is not a felony offense. that is where the problem lies. that is who we need to blame. those politicians and government elected officials. >> jesse: i'm sure the homeless guy slashed this young girl a rap sheet a mile long, i guarantee it. up next, republicans are surging in the polls and it is making joe biden pretty nervous. wait until you hear who the media is blaming though. ♪ ♪ ♪ limu emu and doug.♪ and it's easy to customize your insurance at libertymutual.com so you only pay for what you need. isn't that right limu?
