because they are our kid system originating, adding purpose of public education in public schools is not to teach kids what parents want them to be taught, it is to teach them what society needs to know. the party removed the statement entirely saying the post does not reflect the views of michigan democrats and should not be misinterpret said as statement from candidates. the message is at awkward time for governor gretchen whitmer, who is facing tough re-election year. candidate for governor, james craig, issuing blistering rebuke saying some in gretchen whitmer's party are continuing democrats across country who want parents taken out of the equation and educating their own children. craig, calling it disgraceful and saying it shows aa genda of indoctrination, not education. this after parents rallied behind glenn youngkin after mcauliffe said parents should not have a say in their children's education. new leadership is ready to tackle education head on banning critical race >> jack: this is sad. i serve on the board of the federal enforcement homeland foundation. we give grants to families who have fallen officers and enforce ments officers. we've seen the spike and it is sad when the culture has changed around us starting from elementary school through the prisons. the approach to rahad bailtation, respect for law enforcement is not taught to kids like it used to be. we have a crisis in our country. you see it, you you see it with police officers, you see it with smash-and-grabs and the spike in shootings and homicide necessary inner city areas and some point, we have to step back and understand you cannot promote and push liberal policies and create a culture, one that doesn't respect law enforcement officers and two that didn't respect authority in general. that is what we're seeing take place across our nation right now. >> griff: jack, just a few blocks down the street from me and down the street from capitol hill, the memorial wall, officers' names will be on that wall. do you believe that both sides, republicans and democrats, need to take a different tact? >> jack: 100%, we have to. it is not right. law enforcement agencies are having a difficult time hiring. people don't want to go into the industry anymore, police officers understand they are not respected the same way. it will have a direct reflect on our communities, which it already is. when you have 100, 200% spike in crime in certain cities we know we've approach third degree wrong. republican or democrat, we got to come together now, a lawless nation is a nation that is failing and we cannot continue to accept this and it starts with policy, with getting back to law and order and demanding respect for law enforcement, changing the way we speak about officers, whether the rappers or singers or entertainers that go out and want to talk about police officers as if they are the enemy, we got to get back to reality in this nation again. >> griff: i want to change gears with you while we have you, jack. talk about transgender swimmer lia thomas at university of pennsylvania likening herself to jacky robinson. now according to one of her teammates, who said she laughs about it and mocks the situation instead of caring or showing she cares about what she's doing or doing to her teammates, she's not sympathetic or empathoetic at all, as we know. thomas has been demolishing swimming records. is she the jackie robinson of transgender sports? >> tomi: you will start to see big changes. it is one thing when this impacts ghettos and inner city, it is another thing when it impacts nice cities. that is sad to say, every american should be safe. that is not the case in places like california. democrats and activist d.a.'s need to be asked, what is your motivation forking soft on criminals and crime? why are you motivated to respect the lowest denominator of citizens and not looking to protect citizens. democrats need to answer for that and they will answer in mid-terms. i wish it didn't take an election cycle to make big changes, but sometimes it does. we have big opportunity to make big changes in november. >> todd: speaking of not a change, going back to the past. a former top advisor to bill clinton says there is a good chance hillary will run if joe biden loses congress in midterm. cue up dick morris. >> hillary has set up a brilliant strategy, a zero sum gain with him. the work he does, what she does, she positioned herself as democratic alternative to biden, not just to biden, but to extreme left in the democratic party. >> todd: tomi, how bad if democrats have to turn to hillary clinton as their savior? >> well, you had two huge scandals that hit virginia. and there has been no accountability and no transparency. you had a parole board that was literally letting out cop killers, murderers and rapists and not notifying the family or victims. talking about individuals that had not one, not two, but three life sentences without the possibility of parole. the family of the victim would find out when they would hear it on the local news there has been no accountability, no transparency. that's number one. step number 2 is the tragedy that happened in loudoun county with the sexual assault that happened in the school system and that candidly traces back to when the far left liberal monopoly was in control the last two years in richmond that passed these criminal first, victim last mindset bills that said hey we are going to end the mandatory reporting requirement of sexual assault in schools. that's what this is about, it's about accountability and transparency? government. something we desperately need. that was something that glenn youngkin ran on. something i ran on. and from day one within an hour of us being sworn, in we began the investigation. we are moving forward and we are excited to get to work. >> todd: will your election results from this november will be repeated next november, this upcoming november in states not just rae but throughout the nation as people, parents, everybody fights back on these woke leftist policies that are literally getting people killed? >> wow, i like to joke once you go woke you go broke. i think there is going to be a reckoning this november. people sees not just what happened in virginia and richmond. we obviously not only have one in richmond we have one in washington. listen, when we were out on the campaign trail i said if you are upset with what's happening in washington. you don't have to wait until 2022 to vote to voice your displeasure. can you make your voice known here in virginia. i think voters are anxious to push back. gallup came out this morning with a 9 point shift in party preference nationally. people are seeing this far left quasisocialist policy. we saw glenn youngkin and sears this is about empowerment. when mcauliffe said parents shouldn't have any say in the upbringing of their children that told me never bothered to read what's in the virginia constitution. it says parents have a right to the fundamental right to the education and upbringing of their children. this is about parental empowerment what is happening right now. parents are seeing what is being taught in their schools and they are horrified. you have a lot of these far left liberal school boards pushing policies that are putting our kids in danger. that's starting to stop in virginia. you will see, i think, a red wave in november of 2022. >> griff: mr. attorney general, we are seeing push back on the governor trying to give choice to parents when it documents mask mandates, do you foresee this going to court and are you prepared to fight for it?
