>> there is not a course called critical race theory. all of the principal theories of critical race theory, the fundamental building blocks of actually accusing one group of being oppressors and another of being oppressed of actually burdening children today for sins of the past, for teaching our children to judge one another based on the color of their skin, yes, that does exist in virginia schools today and that is why assigned his negative order yesterday to make sure that we get it out of our schools. >> i asked a question about the courses in critical race theory. that is the contention of critics that there are no courses being taught in virginia public schools. scott has this message for you, governor. he says promising to ban crt is empty unless the governors willing to publicly state that he will also ban the tenets of crt and crt is only a framework. so, will you band the tenets of crt and how do you ensure, as you just said, that we will teach all of our history, a good and the bad in a fair way? >> first of all, that is exactly what we did yesterday. we actually went at the tenets of crt. we went at the tenets of racially divisive concepts. because that is exactly where the underpinning of crt is embedded in our schools in virginia. we absolutely have to recognize that what the left liberals do here is try to obfuscate this issue by saying there is no course called critical race theory. of course there is not an elementary school. but in fact there are absolutely the tenets of crt present in the schools and that is what our executive order went out yesterday. >> let me ask you about this rape, actually, a couple of rapes. your fourth executive order you put out yesterday. you promised to investigate wrongdoing in loudoun county. i expected that is in allusion to the rape that occurred late in the school year before the summer break last year. the boy that was accused of raping scott smith daughter and one other woman was sentenced to supervised probation last week. here's what the father the daughter said very recently. listen here. >> i suggest you listen to me loud and clear. pay attention to what is happened here. it is coming to your community next. >> what impact will this investigation be looking into? >> well, we said all along that we would stand up for parents. because, let's just be clear. what has happened over the last few years as the bureaucrats and politicians have absolutely stopped listening to parents. in virginia, it is clear under law that parents have a fundamental right to make decision for their children's up grooming, they are education and care. we are providing parents and opt out. the ability to make the right decision for their child in regards to their child's well-being. we will use all of the authority that i have to consider all options to protect that right and i think that this is exactly what virginians voted for in november and we delivered yesterday. >> let me move on to critical race theory. part of the reason that you are credited with the victory they are in commonwealth. likely a big issue in the midterms as well. critics of your position, and you signed an executive order again that would "and the use of divisive concepts and schools" which is in allusion to critical race theory. including former president obama saying critical race theories are not being taught in schools. this was merely a trumped up boney culture war. what do you say to that? >> first of all, that is exactly what we did yesterday. we actually went at the tenets of crt. we went at the tenets of racially divisive concepts. because that is exactly where the underpinning of crt is embedded in our schools in virginia. we absolutely have to recognize that what the left liberals do here is try to obfuscate this issue by saying there is no course called critical race theory. of course there is not an elementary school. but in fact there are absolutely the tenets of crt present in the schools and that is what our executive order went out yesterday. >> let me ask you about this rape, actually, a couple of rapes. your fourth executive order you put out yesterday. you promised to investigate wrongdoing in loudoun county. i expected that is in allusion to the rape that occurred late in the school year before the summer break last year. the boy that was accused of raping scott smith daughter and one other woman was sentenced to supervised probation last week. here's what the father the daughter said very recently. listen here. >> i suggest you listen to me loud and clear. pay attention to what is happened here. it is coming to your community next. >> what impact will this investigation be looking into?
