>> i don't know if the white house knows. i don't think the white house is going to be doing anything going forward to pivot. they will produce all of these tests the second and third week of january when the holiday omicron rush has passed. you are not using these tests. we don't need them because in south africa it plateaued. if i can play lawyer, biden in that interview with david muir said they did not see omicron coming. today what he said is incorrect. >> yes. this is where we are. >> can i say one thing quickly? a carley, you are one of the nicest people i know, and i bring up a poll for generation lab and axios. 37% of college democrats wouldn't be friends with someone from the opposing party. surely, carley, you've had a lot of friends that were democrats. >> carley: of course. first of all, i love this opinion piece. i think it is such a great idea. on the other side of that, i do think that it's not just democrats, republicans also at fault when it comes to intolerance. when it comes to liberals, they are intolerant of everybody, even people in their own party. that fact that safe spaces are common thing is a good example of that, and bill maher talks about this all the time. he calls it "progressophobia," being too progressive for their own good and cutting everybody out of the equation. i encourage them to make a friend on the other side of the aisle today. >> lauren: yeah, cheryl, why can't we be nicer to one another? >> cheryl: we've gotten so polarized and that poll is so telling that the liberals are quick to cancel not just republicans, but cancel each other, and it's true. look at all the infighting we've seen her washington within the democratic party. they couldn't even be nice to each other. you can't expect anybody in the democratic party to be nice to anybody across the aisle on the republican side. we see that in washington. you in d.c. are setting the standard. you are the ones putting the town out there that it's a constant fight. and enough is enough. we need more bipartisanship, i think, in particular in washington. i think people are voting that way right now, in particular with more moderate choices. >> lauren: and you know it doesn't help, todd? we are frustrated because we have been sort of locked down and restricted with covid, and constant testing, and being -- you know, told that we have to do. i mean, that kind of makes us meaner. i think that's one of the reasons people are fighting on airplanes. >> todd: yeah, i mean, look, we've been like caged animals for two years. i'm not when that's going to blame covid for all of society's ills. i think in this particular instance the liberals got us up on the wrong path, because they are supposed to be the party of tolerance, yet they are the most intolerant ones out there. when you confront them with the facts, their rebuttal isn't fact-based, it's more anger, more vitriol. until we get past that, i think conservatives aren't going to come around. the hard-core conservatives. we are in a mess right now going forward. >> lauren: tomi, take us home. >> tomi: listen, i think a lot of liberals are unaware of how many conservative friends actually have, and that's also the fault of conservatives. we are so quiet, so shy, we don't want to be loud, we don't want to have a convicted belief we are proud about. maybe liberals will realize we are not so bad, because guess what?
