sparking long lines at testing sites and even high-profile cancellations leaving many people to wonder, where is the return to normality that we have all been hearing so much about? you are watching "outnumbered." i'm harris faulkner. michael hood, kayleigh mcenany's head turning point usa in phoenix, arizona. i heard her speak amazingly yesterday. a host kennedy, kennedy, tomi lahren, and senior editor at the federalist and right forge, chris bedford is in the house. good to see you all. lines at new york city testing sites are stretching on for hours. positivity rates are skyrocketing. with omicron the dominant strain of covid in the united states. jumping from 1% three weeks ago to an estimated 73% of all cases now. the covid spike is leaving the nhl to pause the season and cancel all games through the holidays. the rockettes are doing the same. they have canceled all remaining shows of their christmas spectacular. this is some of broadway's bigness shows are going dark of what is the busiest time of the year. schools across the nation are beginning to shift remote learning. some of them. the president is about to outline a strategy to combat the new covid search. things are a far cry from what he originally promised to do during his campaign. remember this? >> president biden: we will never, ever, ever quit. that is how we will chat on the virus. >> harris: i'm going to shut down the virus. i'm not going to shut down the economy. i'm going to shut down the virus. >> harris: let's open up "outnumbered." chris bedford. >> chris: you have to wonder how he's going to be able to pull this off. i always going to shut down the virus. they took a break to control the climate come up with this seems a stretch by that. the problem we are facing is a social construct. when it comes onto testing and it comes on to contamination and lockdowns. we track any other communicable disease in the same way we track covid. you have to isolate, your family is to isolate coming up to go into tests. there would be panic at the time. we are not going to get rid of this disease. the people who are pushing this, especially where i live in you live, they are so wedded to the idea of these lockdowns and mask mandates and shutdowns. they never worked in their bare straight minutes of the doing it again. we started a mask mandates here in d.c. public schools are going to be shutting down again. it's hurting children and america. if they can't follow ron desantis who's about to help the people of the state, they're never going to get anywhere. in florida has a low covid rate. people like to say this because they're outside. i just got back from florida. those bars, restaurants, concerts, are packed. they've a different strategy of dealing with that. because of it, panic is gone away. >> harris: what is interesting about what chris is saying, kayleigh, is with regard to what we learn. some people, some governors, some states learned from the last two years. not so convinced some of the american people say that the president and democratic states did learn. new jersey is a cobalt blue step. governor murphy there is not doing a lockdown. he's not following east coast governors. we do not have any of that. we can get monoclonal antibodies and we can get those things that we sought out in florida. it's interesting. >> kayleigh: it is interesting. you see red state governors like ron desantis doing a fantastic job. i'm a floridian i've seen it firsthand. there's a balance between freedom and covid restrictions. he has found the balance. he has done quite a good job. also, i want to lay the foot of blame at the seat of the federal government. i talk to someone who is a high-level official that i worked for in the federal government and i said explained to me what is going on right now question mike explained it to me. when we were there, i saw these officials sit to meet and explain down to the hospital level are not county level, hospital level. we were able to see what supplies they have come what they don't, work with the private sector, and surf supplies. what is the difference between what happened then and what happened now? key to making sure that tests are being produced is communicating the private sector which it the trump administration did daily. abbott has a rapid test and they stopped producing in june or july at the scale needed because they were not receiving communication from the federal government. president trump purchased 500 million abbott tests giving a signal to produce, produce, produce. the biden administration coming to this day, has not done that. when you're not giving an indication to the private sector that you're going to do it, it's a problem. he had 12 months to continue the good work and did not. >> harris: 12 months by your source from the former trump official. at least six. i look at our state of new jersey. you can call the hotline, he can go on the website, you can get a home test. as many as you need. you've been able to do that in several states. the white house is behind it. they are expected to announce 500 million tests can be set to your home now. supply chain crisis. is he going to come to my house with it in his pocket? maybe amazon has a deal. they are the fastest in the business. i'm being honest here. he is behind the times. kayleigh, you have receipts for that. kennedy? >> kennedy: by the way, this virus is having its way with people. it is mutating. i know that joe biden wants to take it behind the woodshed and punch it in the face, but that's not happening. i would like more doctors to be honest about what is happening here. there is an inverse proportion between transmissibility and death. the more transmissible virus is, the more people get it, the more contagious it is. we are seeing a lot of research like that's out of south africa. more people are getting it coming younger people are getting at, but their symptoms are not nearly as bad as they wn spring of last year. the virus can shift from a pandemic to an end imac which means it is something that will always be with us but it's more manageable. but the federal government has to get out of the way if they're not helping. right now, not only are we hearing about low orders, we hearing about supply chain backlogs on testing equipment. >> harris: exactly. >> kennedy: that's why you're seeing such long lines at testing facilities. >> harris: and what about this, kennedy. i know you been interviewing doctors mccarrick, dr. siegel, and others. i enjoyed talking with dr. shaw whenever we can make the time for each other. you talk about supply chain issues, they're big on the pill. especially dr. siegel. their big and the pfizer pill because that puts another therapeutic. weird biden on the issue? is he going to announce that there's going to be expeditious delivery question because he's going to push the fda to not take as long as it did to get tt was mainstreamed for the vaccine? it was not an emergency authorization? >> kennedy: that's great point. when i talk about the federal government getting out of the way come and get the fda out of the way. stop stepping over your message and make sure the therapeutic can get in the bodies of sick people. it is what is keeping people in the hospital from dying. in addition to the vaccine the science we have corrected the stuff about barriers and things that were superfluous that were not helping us. that pill will save lives. bottom line. get that emergency authorization, please. >> harris: or push for it. tomi, i hear the white house say it is not our position to tell agencies what to do. they can suggest, can't they? a suggestion from the white house has to mean something. unless it comes to build back better. maybe not then. >> tomi: interesting. they do not want to tell agencies what to do, but they've no problem telling the american people what they should do. we are going to hear from president biden to start mourning the unvaccinated. i would like to point out supply chain crisis. hospitals are being overwhelmed. it was this administration that was pressuring those health care workers to get vaccinated or else be terminated. we are going to be in a position where we might have long lines at hospitals and we might be short-staffed at hospitals like we are everywhere else in the country. you had an administration that was threatening to turn to make that are recessional stomach essential not only for omicron, covid, but everything else. we should not be pegging our lockdowns and mandates on case totals. we should be picking them on mortality and death rates. if we have something we are living with that is highly transmissible but it's not killing people at the rate that we sell with the early versions of covid, that is an accomplishment. we should be moving forward with late understanding we are going to have to live with covid. stop bullying the american people into doing what this administration feels is best. targeting liberty, personal, and medical freedoms. let's move on with our lives. >> harris: were never going to get to zero covid. whenever going to get to zero stupidity. were never going to get 20 anything. that's what we do with other diseases. we will move on. brett midler is apologizing. was that an apology?
