friday's follies. first they are not listening. that's the focus of tonight's "angle." biden and the congressional democrats end 2021 having failed on almost every front. inflation is sky rocketing. violence is on the rise. there is a needless omicron freak out and tens of thousands of illegals are flooding across the border and the left's agenda is stalling out thankfully. americans are fed up with it. they are fed up with all of it. every week it seems biden hits new lows in it the polls. hispanics are moving to the republican party in droves. among young people, biden has fallen 50 points since the beginning of the year. last night i was in the holiday spirit. the "angle" gave biden and the dems sound advice. reset in the new year and work with republicans and move to the middle and forget the trillion dollars in spending and stop dividing the country along racial lines and stop the covid hysteria. they will stay the course. after damaging our children and families with previous covid restrictions, the administration is threatening them again because of the omicron variant when data shows to be mild. >> obviously, if you were vaccinated and your family is vaccinated and friends who are vaccinated and also boosted, you can still enjoy a social gathering in a home. you have to follow what is going on. if the count keep going up, we may need to be more restrictive. >> laura: doctors may need to be more restrictive. they will be more restrictive -- this is insane. every one of you needs to say hell no! according to a new poll, 70% of americans do not support any new restrictions even with the new yarnt. -- variant. they have had it. i remember candidate joe biden pledged to bring unity to america after 4 years of trump. today he doubled down on division throwing this with the anti-american forces that see america as a nation rife with racism. biden trashed trump and returned to the well of charlottesville and january 6th. with the agenda collapsing his speech writers are out of ideas. they send biden out to repeat a lie. that mail-in ballots verification is racist. >> i have never seen anything like on the right to vote. voterpression -- voter suppression is un-american and unprecedented since reconstruction. >> laura: we made no progress, america. obama and biden were elected twice without the democrats so-called voting rights legislation. that fact is lost on biden. none of this is working. so much of it is toxic and negative. it's depressing and counterproductive. a man who pledged to lift us up, dragged us down. a man who pledged to shut down the virus prolonged the pain. a president who promised to make us respected around the world turned us into a laughingstock. an administration that down played inflation has refused to lift a finger as it gobbles up family incomes. i fully expect the white house will roll omicron into 2022 to justify the push for national mail-in ballots and internet voting to it try to rig the next election. of course, they will all be wearing masks in 2024 at their convention if they have one at all. this theatre of the covid absurd won't work. we will beat them next year in a historic rout and in 2024 there is a landslide in the making in republicans play their cards right. until then go on with our lives. enjoy your holidays. be with your family. sing christmas carols. be without covid. tell your kids about how the party of fdr and jfk destroyed itself under joe biden. that's the "angle." joining me ari fleischer and tom bevin, and a civil rights attorney. it's been a wild, weird year. it's incredible that just one year of biden and he's already left the country in a far worst state than when he stepped into office. it's staggering. >> well, let's start with the big picture. i stole this from tom bevin's web page. when joe biden was elected president on january 20, 2021 his approval was 66%. he went from being up 20 to down 7. the reason is what you just walked through. -- 56%. afghanistan broke all of the dams. joe biden had bipartisan support and botched it. did it terribly. that opened up the doors to all of his other botches starting with covid. he made the most irresponsible promise any politician ever made when he said i will shut down the virus. he hasn't come close. he made things worse. on issue after issue, inflation and the southern border and afghanistan and the virus and crime, this country is going on the wrong track and people blame the president for it. >> laura: vaccines we were told in the spring, summer and fall were going to set us free. not according to biden's cdc. watch this. >> we have the tools 2 protect ourselves against covid-19. we have vaccine and boosters and we know masks indoors and practicing social distancing are important even if you are vaccinateded and boosted. >> laura: this is why people are hesitant to get the vaccine. you get the vaccine, you get boosted and according to the cdc you should use social distancing and still wear masks indoors. no wonder people said forget it. we are not doing it anymore. >> there is covid fafeeing out there. -- fatigue out there. the biden administration settled on this strategy the only way out of this is to vaccine out. mandate vaccines. even though the numbers, 85% in the armed forces and 98.5% of folks are vaccinated. biden and fauci say that's not enough. we have to mandate and put people out of jobs. that strategy has not worked. everybody who wants to be vaccinated at this point is vaccinated. it's been a divisive strategy. that's why the president's ratings dropped on the handling of covid. i don't think the american people are still with him. he got good ratings early. by this point they lost trust and faith in him. >> laura: you are on the west coast. even some of the more far left leaders on the west coast like your mayor in san francisco and then the governor of colorado, they are smart enough to see as much as we would like to hold on to the narrative that cops are corrupt and we have to it have no virus to be successful, they are backing off. they are not getting what some of the lefties are getting out there this california and colorado. >> i don't think breed the mayor in san francisco is smart enough to get the point. she probably got angry phone calls from democrats from san francisco including nancy pelosi and gavin newsom, what people are seeing on television is a problem for the mid-terms. please clean it up in. i am in san francisco. i see a handful of cops. i don't see any shoppers am it's not working. most people in san francisco who had the ability left the city. the tech companies left the city. we are in for a long hard several years in the city before it bounces back. even democrats in california, middle-class people with children who care about quality of life they are angry and they are signing petitions to recall liberal district attorneys and demanding accountability in the schools. this is a problem for democrats and right now the vaccine mandates that are making our hospital under-staffed and leaving businesses unable to function -- >> laura: we are done. it's a virus. we have to be careful. all of the things we know, but everyone has to move on or you will lose the country. ari, recent headlines from newsweek. you can sense the hysteria building out there. omicron could overwhelm us within weeks and i cancelled my birthday party because of omicron. everyone was fully vaccinated and most of them myself included have been boosted. the people have driven themselves and most of sane america into throwing up their hands. they are beyond. >> laura, if you are suggesting that the press thinks it's job is to scare the hell out of people regardless of the facts, yes, that's what they are doing. that's what they have always done. now they have a perfect excuse because there is a worldwide virus omicron that leaves most of the people with no symptoms or mild symptoms. if you are young and healthy and don't have co-morbidities, just move forward through the virus. if you catch it, most people will be asymptomatic or it will have little impact on you. keep living your life. shut everybody down. force everybody to wear masks. scare the hell out of everybody. this is what is wrong with the media and what is wrong with the government that responds to the media. most american people get it. just live. >> laura: the public health sector has done themselves an enormous amount of damage. they cancelled the university of maryland graduation and gave people only a few hours notice. events around washington, d.c. and maryland have been cancelled just in time for christmas. the covid scrooges. tom, the white house has a new line of attack against the republicans. watch. >> republicans are seeking to hurt the pandemic response. rooting for inflation to get worse. they are blocking what we are trying to do for the american people which is bringing down the cost and doing the work on behalf of the american people. >> laura: when they read their briefings, they attack. does this have legs? like this will work? >> blaming the republicans for inflation? i don't think the american people will do that. inflation is the main concern on the mind of the american people. gas and food prices and sky rocketing costs. administration insists that spending more money and passing legislation will tamp down inflation. they made that argument repeatedly. it flies in the face of other data that suggest that spending more money will increase inflation. it seems like this attack won't bear the fruit that the democrats are looking for to try to spin this it around and blame it on republicans. it won't fly. >> laura: they tell me i am out of time. an important question for you. did you knit that sweater you are wearing? >> i did knit it. that's one of the things that kept me sane during covid. it's 1 of 4 so far. >> laura: she has many talents and wins all of these court cases and incredibly talented knitter. she's given me gifts over the years for my kids. you are unbelievably talented. merry christmas and happy holidays to all three of you. you have been great this it year. why was a large scale ivermectin study paused. the man who invented mrna said something is fishy. plus after airline ceos admitted masks on planes were not needed. the media went to work to get everyone back into submission. details next. >> the case is very strong that masks don't add much if anything in the air cabin environment. it's very safe and very high quality compared to any other indoor setting. >> i concur. the air craft is a safe place. that's true of all of our air craft. they have a hepafilter. >> laura: the media trotted out the chief medical dominion on insult mask her ticks. >> would you get on a plane without a mask? >> no -- and we have data from the national academy of sciences. we have randomized clinical trials done by stanford and yale. some of these ceo's have the emotional intelligence of a doorknob. >> laura: joining me is a doctor at yale school of public health. what is your response? how alarming he is advising the white house on covid-19? >> it's theatrical. saying that disparageing emotional intelligence talking about an intellectual aspect that needs to be based on science is irrelevant. >> laura: the kato institute said the evidence of face masks has failed to show eficacy. failing to find significant benefits in the attempt to treat populations. this goes through all of the studies including the one that he is referencing. isn't it consistent with what we knew about the influenza viral stud with cloth masks. it's consistent? >> yes, we have looked at masks for decades. not specifying talking about the benefit for the wearer or others around, source control. they don't show any benefit if that circumstance. that's the only one there is any policy to be concerned with. for personal protection, each person has the chase choice to wear a mask or not -- >> laura: they had one smart writer who debunked the study to push masks in school. saying you can't learn anything about the effects of school mask mandates from this study. he said a co-author of the review of covid-19 mitigation policies called the research so unreliable, it should not have been entered into the public discourse at all. the cdc's standards and their credibility are in the toilet at this point. everyone is supposed to jump when they say jump. >> well, i agree with you. >> laura: how high? >> the cdc is making claims that the science is the way they want it to be instead of doing objective reviews. it's difficult to believe things they say. >> laura: the ceos for the airlines were assaulted by the public health community after their testimony. one has covid. not clear they got covid on a plane. you have been terrific on this show all year long. we appreciate you so much. thanks for everything you have contributed. for 2 years now the medical establishment engaged in what we call a flash and burn campaign against covid therapeutics. when we learned that a major ivermectin trial in at this time u.k. was halted due to supply issues, we got suspicious. we were even more so when we saw the statement from ivermectin's manufacturer. merck. they concluded that ivermectin providing a safe treatment for covid is low and had a prioritized the development of although candidates with a higher probability of success. probably more money. dr. robert malone is the inventor of the mrna vaccine used by pfizer and moderna. what is your thinking on this ivermectin study being paused? >> thanks for having me on again. this is an interesting situation. first off, the assertion that the reason they paused the study was clinical trial supply would be medical mal practice for people in my business, clinical research. first you lock down your trial supply. that fails the sniff test. either they are incompetent at the university of oxford or lying. it's one or the other. worldwide supply of ivermectin is enormous. there is no way they would not have locked down their trial supply. i called up a good friend at the university of bats. she raised a series of points i would love to go over with you. >> laura: sure. >> her point is that this is a highly irregular study. it was designed last february. the dosing of ivermectin is extremely low and short. only 3 days of treatment at 300 micro grams. they were recruiting up to 15 days after on set of disease. if you want to treat with ivermectin all of the doctors i work with agree you have to start treatment early. ivermectin is a part of a multi-drug protocols. that's modern early treatment that keeps people out of the hospital and keeps them from dying. the mortality rate if you do this correctly with existing drugs. >> laura: we might not be able to go through all of her concerns. it was a study designed to it fail which is what physicians thought about the hydroxychloroquine trials as well. designed to fail? >> exactly. it reeks of designed to fail. it's full of errors. now they stopped it for logic that is completely -- failed completely any logical test. >> laura: we have limited time. this omicron hysteria sweeping the united states. people want christmas cancelled. they don't want to you travel. dr. fauci seems to be leaning toward redefining what it means to be fully vaccinated. >> it's open for discussion. i think people should not lose sight of the message that there is no doubt if you want to be protected you should get your booster. >> laura: doctor, given your knowledge of the vaccines what is your response? >> tony is being really careful with his word smithing. he is guarding himself. what he is not saying is fully protected. omicron blows right through the vaccines and through the triple jab. omicron is very, very infectious. the data are already in that both the double and triple vaccinations did not protect from omicron. here's the good news. you said this was fear mongering from the press. you are dead on. the number of deaths from omicron is less than 10 in my last count. if you believe in a god this it looks like a christmas present. omicron according to recent data from hong kong university has shifted the targeting of where it infects. the delta variant and other variants affected the deep lung which is a great way to cause severe disease in humans. it shifted to the upper airway. when viruses do that they are more infectious. the good news with omicron highly infectious, it looks to the experienced vaccine people like a live virus vaccine that you might design for purpose. it's going to elicit a strong immune response. >> laura: this is news you won't see anywhere else on television tonight. you are saying what is happening with omicron is good news. the political establishment is freaking out to shut things down to damage children and
