first the crisis piles on for president biden after the worst jobs report ms. estimates by hundreds of thousands from the economy to the botched afghanistan withdrawal, the border and violent crime spiking across the country biden's first eight months have been full of problems september's jobs report fell short of the 507,000 with 194,000 new jobs being added. but biden says that his progress. >> in total the job creation of the for statement is now 5 million jobs. jobs up, wages up, unemployment down that is progress. when you take a step back and look what's happening we are making real progress we are making consistent steady progress. thanks to bipartisan agreement we are making progress in funding the government raising the debt limit so people get their social security and military gets paid and so much more progress, progress, progress, progress, making progress. >> progress is the key word but the crises under biden are bringing down in the polls he is underwater new numbers show the approval at 38% tonight but the white house says do not blame him blame unvaccinated americans. >> what you make of these terrible poles. >> this is a tough time in our country we are still battling covid and a lot of people thought we would be through it including us because of the rise of the delta variant and the fact that even the public in a administration and even though full fda approval and widely available across the country we still have a quarter of the country, less than that, 20% of the country who decided not to get vaccinated no question that is having an impact. aishah: guy, i want to start with the result that the white house has no plans with changing the direction of where the ship is headed they want to continue in congress to spend trillions of dollars to jump start the economy and continue with the covid mandates where you see all this going. guy: it's fascinating to watch the white house and the presidency in afghanistan withdrawal fiasco was an extra ordinary success in the border is secure, that the dhs secretary use words in the white house and all of this that we saw in terms of jobs and the economy constitutes progress i feel like the time is going to china again we american people are not buying them were looking at the numbers in the polling and is not just a survey is a whole host of other surveys that confirm this trend including gallup which has republicans by double-digit on national security nine points on economic prosperity and that might be progress for the gop, not the progress that the white house wants to be talking about. they will say it even if they fall short of expectations yet again on another front. aishah: you know very well this is about optics and the messaging coming out of the white house jen psaki telling peter doocy we don't see things as darkly as you do a recent poll shows biden is underwater 39% approval rating 59% disapproval that is not good inviting goes and says when you turn on the news you think everything was in a crisis but that's not what was happening. where and at what point do you keep telling somebody the sun is shining but it's really raining outdoors. >> i love how they put it back on peter doocy you see the world pretty darkly in terms of how the country is going, here are the numbers, 32% of independents people who decide in georgia, arizona, wisconsin, pennsylvania, michigan ohio lesson one entry approved of the president after nine months in office a solid majority of voters believe the administration of a whole is not competent and ready the government is not just the president looked unconfident the whole jaguars meets johnsonville. on the border he's pulling in the 20s crime, pulling in the 30s voters ask themselves is my country more expensive to live in, yes, is it less safe, you bet, is the border secure, is afghanistan a threat with al-qaeda. >> to i believe this administration has the wherewithal, the intelligence, the instinct, the principles for these tasks are untrue disasters, no unless the president changes course to the way bill clinton did in 1996 had to read tsunami in 2022 and losing the house and senate in a major primary challenge in 2024 if he even runs i. aishah: we could abuse those things. we love those emily are so connected with small businesses i love your social media because you're always engage with small business and we have the labor secretary lesson people change from, they did people went back and looked internally and wanted to do something new and focus on something else he said we needed to focus on training people in reaching out to these people to get the fill the jobs is that what is happening? what are you hearing. >> thank you for that so many of us are dedicated to small businesses and small business owners, they have been absolutely overwhelmed they are drowning in the cause, i include in everything the labor shortages the regulatory environment imposed upon by the government especially locally remember in december when we had a tavern across the pond from where i'm sitting where the owner was arrested multiple times and faced 54 criminal summonses were a city homicide suspect 86% in the question we have to ask ourselves, who does this a administration blame and who to this administration is the enemy and the answer to both of those always is you, us, ordinary americans, he is blaming for the economy numbers which on the other side he's patting himself on the back and congratulating the administration and of course when he commutes from the beginning of a lockdown but unvaccinated americans, the crisis at the border the answer to blame who we inherited the situation from the prior president same with afghanistan and everything the answer is always the ordinary americans who are trying to earn their livelihood and stand up for the flag and trying to make a living for their family, when you look at it through the lens everything coming out of jen psaki's mouth with this type of messaging, it's rosier then you say were more dismal than you say as long as the enemy remains ordinary american interested in their livelihood in children's education or asking questions about their own health to their own doctor. aishah: you have to be thinking that democrats are absolutely thinking about the midterms in the chaos in congress, the democrats keep putting band-aids on things they raise the debt ceiling by half a trillion dollars just to get us through to december 3, that is eight weeks when americans hear that they think what is going on, what do you make of what might happen and what might we see as we get closer to the midterms. >> is a dilemma because there looking ahead they can read the polls like we can and are starting to sweat about what can happen historically this midterm cycle would not go well for the parting president you pylon really bad approval ratings for joe biden on a whole litany of issues and policies and tumors are like this is not great and so is the rank and file they have to be concerned but they also recognize we only have a short window to jam through as much of the agenda as we possibly can and i suspect that's what they will try to do say the disapproval or unhappiness of the public, we have this opportunity let's take it now and that might hurt them more next year end there bet might
