ended going back to the bar. because he wanted people that wanted him there legitimately. and maybe greg steube is getting elected just to win the congressional softball game -- baseball game. steve: i don't think that's why the people of that district in florida put him. brian: i'm going to put a reporter on it. steve: however, the democrats did lose their star pitcher. cedric richmond has been their pitcher for a very long time and always won the game. now is he working at the white house so he was not in the game. when it comes down to and, brian, you were talking about how joe biden probably showed up to do a little hand shaking and say hey, can i get your vote later tomorrow, nancy pelosi has said she is going to bring up that $1.2 trillion infrastructure. that is hacking off the progressives. the progressives in the house say you have got to vote on the 3.5 trillion before the 1.2 trillion. and now boston of the progressives are saying we're not going to vote for the 1.2 trillion so that's going to die. however, she has about two dozen republicans are going to join the democrats in voting for this infrastructure bill but it's going it be close. and nancy pelosi may not actually have the vote today. ainsley: they have to raise the debt ceiling before the middle of october. then today they have to vote to make sure the government doesn't shut down. steve: at midnight. ainsley: schumer says they are going to vote this morning. progressives say they are not going to vote for that, more than $1 trillion infrastructure bill. they are not going to give that to the republicans because they are not getting their 3.5. steve: republicans are not going to vote to raise the debt ceiling. they are going to say, look, you want more money, you do it on your own. brian: so here we have kyrsten sinema and senator joe manchin said we are in no rush to pass the 3.5 trillion. it's too big anyway. what the moderates were promised in the house was nancy pelosi, i just want -- i will vote -- i will gain the 3.5 promise me by september 27th you will put up the bipartisan bill that the senate passed with 19 republican votes. she said okay. well, the 27th came and went. they were not ready i'm not going to put a bill up that's going to fail. today is the day they extended it to. so the question is if you just promise the democrats the left wing, the squad that you are going to have the outline of a 3.5 bernie sanders bill, maybe we can go into the guise of voting for it because the outline is there for 3.5. but basically said no. and excerpt from a lengthy statement he said this yesterday spending trillions more on new and expanding government programs when we can't even pay for the essential social programs like social security and medicare is the definition of fiscal insanity. i cannot and will not support trillions in spending or an all or nothing approach that ignores brutal fiscal reality or nation faces. so how can bernie sanders others oi will not vote for this without that. they cannot vote. that means 45 democrats are out. ainsley: joe manchin said we spent 4.5 trillion since march and you want to spend another 3.5? if you have to have yourselves on both sides of the aisle how much is enough? we spent so much we can't afford after spending so much social security and medicare. brian up by a lot of that money is not out the door a lot of that money has been set and they want more we don't have. ainsley: spending and hikes to businesses as well. because they want to raise the corporation tax. steve: inflation is a big problem. we are going to have a story later on dollar tree is now going to charge more than a dollar because of inflation and shipping and things like that. then you have got all this going on. we know there is a lot -- there is a debt ceiling. there is the funding the government. there is the 1.2 trillion. there is the 3.5 trillion. those are four different pieces of business. the only thing that is going to pass is today they are going to extend -- they are going to go ahead and fund the government for a little while longer. brian: with our money. >> steve: all the rest is going to, you know, there is a civil war inside the democratic party. you have got aoc saying i'm not going to vote for that 1.2 trillion thick. she is a genius. she is the same person who said i don't think amazon should go ahead and build in new york city and create 25,000 jobs. right? >> yeah, you know, i pretty much stay glued to the tv and if you read my twitter you saw i reacted in the moment for both of them because there was so much happening that i think fell in the nuances. there were questions that were never asked that i really wish were asked. one of them is simply asking general mackenzie in if the buck stops with him on the drone strike, wasn't he the first one to resign? a lot of the, i guess theater, political theater around general milley resigning, kind of centered around the chinese phone call or things that i think actually had decent explanations for. at the end of the day, we had 10 civilians killed by a drone strike and i believe both drone strikes were purely for headlines. and those headlines have turned their canons back towards the president because they were done in haste and they were done, it seems to no effect at all or to the effect of kill civilians does it bother you? >> it bothers me because it doesn't surprise me. this is the exact war plans that that they are proposing will replace having people like myself and those a lot smarter and courageous than i ever was there on the ground gathering intelligence, keeping us safe. listen, when president trump was president and he said he was going to pull the troops out of afghanistan, i took that the same way i took every time president trump went to the bully pulpit and made these big declarations. it was a challenge to our military leaders to do better. when he said we're going to pull out by may 1st. i never believed we were pulling out by may 1st. i believed that was a timeline put in place to spur action in our military industrial complex to not think they could just push him over like the previous presidents. and i still feel that way. brian: yeah. i want to talk more about this but i do want to get to this story, too. yesterday, and thankfully there is blow back on every side. the "new york times" thought what great time to offer some suggestions to redesign the american flag that really hasn't changed in design for 100 years. but, we have added a few stars here and there. so, take a look as we weave through the options and what they mean. does anything to you scream we need to do this? (gentle music) steve: well, earth could face another pandemic if china does not come clean about the origins of coast and risky experiments they were running of wuhan lab of virology. that's the prohibition our next guest makes in a book that comes out today called "what really happened in wuhan" making a compelling case for the lab leak theory it hits shelves in the u.s. today. sharey markson joins us. >> good morning, good evening. thanks for having me you have got the book out and extraordinary clues you put together. the defector talking about how they are brewing up something over there also, didn't somebody say that apparently -- according to your reporting, apparently people contacted our u.s. state department before we knew about it saying this is going on. you need to know. >> yeah. there was a chinese defector who made that warning even more astonishing when the state department, that team under mike pompeo was investigating the origins of the virus, there was three given item people working in the wuhan institute of virology and another one in wuhan that claimed to have knowledge of what was happening in the wuhan institute of virology who directly got in contact with the state department and gave a version of events about weigh that thought happened in that laboratory the contact was made through a trusted intermediary. the problem was almost impossible information to verify. they didn't know if what they were being told was accurate or not. one of the people who was working in the wuhan institute of virology, he spoke to david asher, who was the lead investigator in the state department he told him there might have been monkey bite. that might have been what had happened and they were never able to verify whether that it information was accurate or not it was another piece of the puzzle. steve: so far 5 million people around the world have died because of the coronavirus. you, with your reporting and it's terrific very clear to you it's a lab leak. joe biden ordered our intel agencies to look into it and at the end of the 90 day investigation it was like well, it's inconclusive. your investigation has shown it's a lab leak. don't you think that joe biden's administration threw the cia and other intell know it's a lab leak? they have the votes to get the 1.2 whether you want to vote for it or not, republicans. came out of the senate. the house would get it. 25 republicans evidently have bought into it already. but they won't do it without the 3.5. here's what nancy pelosi said about the 3.5 trillion. i thought 3.5 trillion was real money but i found out differently. listen. >> it's not about a dollar amount. the dollar amount, as the president has said, is zero. this bill will be paid for. brian: what? that's not the issue right now. there are all kinds of other issues out there right now that we need to be demanding his resignation. ainsley: now, if you read the reconciliation bill. it's thousands of pages long. on page 168, it looks like nancy pelosi is quietly tucked something in that might be concerning to our viewers. it's the vaccine mandate. and they are saying on this page $70,000 in fines for serious infractions. and $700,000 for willful or repeated violations. they are putting this in the reconciliation bill and they are going to fine companies if they don't require the vaccine? >> yeah. what are they thinking? they are already having trouble with this. they are already having trouble getting this bipartisan support for this. now they are going to put something else highly controversial in there? i don't understand what they do. but it's all another effort for them to control our lives. it really is and this would just devastate our economy right now. we already have having issue with doctors and teachers and people working in restaurants and we can't find enough employees. cops? now go around and start firing? military as well. go around and start dismissing and firing these people? who is going to do these jobs? some of these are highly skilled jobs you can't just roll somebody else in. i hear people talk about the governors talk about we are going to bring in the national guard to fill the gap unless hospitals nurses and national guard. where do those people work? her own personal life, her own money? she was a young attractive, very high profile woman. what is it about her mental health that a judge decided meant she couldn't make any of her own decisions? i think the system needs to be reformed because it seems to me that this was a travesty of justice, this young woman that she spent 13 years out of control of herself. steve: and she has said she would not tour again until her dad was removed. so let's see if she goes back into show business. meanwhile, let's talk a little bit about this. it seems like the eyes of the law enforcement community are trying to figure out where in the world is brian laundrie? and apparently the news yesterday is the fbi has been looking at some surveillance video that showed brian going to a phone store to pick up a burner phone and i read one account there was an older woman with him. some have said well, was that his mom? what's going on with that francey. >> it certainly could have been his mom. i think the interesting thing here is that there is surveillance of his buying that phone. because the fbi is going to be really interested in what he looks like right now. has he shaved his facial hair? is he wearing a hat? what has he done to disguise his appearance? it's really more important to them than the phone. although they can get valuable information from that phone and from things he might have said to the clerk when he was buying the phone or what was the plan that he put on it? discipline would be issued come october 1st or the beginning of october, so i'm just waiting to find out if i have a job the next week or two. ainsley: how do you feel about that after being a police officer and serving for so long and sacrificing so much? >> it's disheartening. i would have thought that the sacrifices that i have made that the other officers in our department have made would have spoken volumes and that we shouldn't have to have been a part of this experiment. so it's just disheartening. ainsley: randy, what did the judge say? >> well, the judge came down on the side that we needed to exhaust administrative remedies, file an appeal with the denver department of health. we thought we had some exceptions to that exhaustion requirement, but she didn't see it that way. so we are feverishly getting the administrative appeal ready to file today. ainsley: so you will file that today. and then what will happen? >> >> well, it's hard to say. the city attorney yesterday said that the department of health is set up to expedite these appeals. i have been an attorney for 23 years. that has not been my experience with these administrative agencies. so, i think it will be a fairly long drawn out process, probably over the next several weeks. it's not going to stop anyone from losing their job tomorrow. ainsley: oh, really? so jonathan can still keep his job while it is still in the appeal process? >> no, no. it's not going to stop them. ainsley: not going to stop them. even if the appeal process? >> yeah. correct. ainsley: jonathan, how many of your friends don't want to get vaccinated with the police department there? >> i know of quite a few that tomorrow will be their last day and then as far as officers that have been vaccinated, i would say, against their will, there are numerous that are just disheartened about the having to get the vaccine. ainsley: we also keep hearing about job shortages, police departments are not at full capacity. what does that mean for the folks that live in denver? >> i can imagine that wait times are going to go up. violent crime is going to go up. but that's the decision mat mayor and the governor and the director of health and safety has made. ainsley: this is what the mayor said. >> ainsley, we had almost. ainsley: go ahead. >> we had almost 200 people on a spreadsheet who wanted to be a part of this, primarily police officers, and firemen and other denver city officials story a guy 34 years old, four kids, who had covid last year, recovered. he is rauner, very healthy. went ahead and took the mandatory job to not lose his position with the denver police on august 22nd. he can barely walk now. he falls down if he doesn't have people around him. so, there are other cobs sequences to forcing this jab that people are not thinking about. ainsley: jonathan, why don't you want to get the shot? >> ma'am, i'm not anti-vaccination seen, i believe it should be each person's choice to make their own medical yankees? brian: i no one of them's professional i keep forgetting which one. ainsley: the final score in washington was 13-12, republican s won it by 1. steve: but what was interesting though, out of nowhere, suddenly yesterday, there was a lot of bo o'ing and as it turns out it's because joe biden showed up in the second inning, he went down and he shook hands in the democrat dug out that he walked across the field, shook hands with republicans he was there to do a little handshaking and arm-twisting, because today 's infrastructure day in washington, and he needs the democrats to be all on the same page. ainsley: president biden and house speaker nancy pelosi facing escalating discord in their own party over these two spending bills. brian: i don't see much progress, but it all could change quickly. the speaker says a vote on the bipartisan infrastructure bill will happened to, but if she doesn't have the votes will it happen? steve: let's go to peter doocy live at the white house as progressives promise to tank that vote in less they get what they want and they want a lot. reporter: good morning some of the republican baseball players may say thank you to president biden, because the democrat's team, their best player was their pitcher for the last decade, former congressman cedri ck richmond, who president biden brought over here to be a senior advisor so that meant he could not pitch against the republicans. so this is a multi-playered sports story, tied up with infrastructure. last night was the biggest event of any kind i can remember biden attending in the last two and a half years or so. it's also the first of any kind in that time that it was not a completely friendly crowd which he heard right away. >> there he is. >> booo. >> president biden making an appearance here. reporter: the quest to pass a bipartisan infrastructure bill tied to a multi trillion dollar progressive wish list is over for now, because joe manchin is a "no" on the wish list, writing , what i've made clear, is that spending trillions more on new and expanded government programs when we can't even pay for the essential social programs like social security and medicare, is the definition of fiscal insanity. some of those new and expanded government programs that he's referring to in the $3.5 trillion package be free community college for illegal immigrants, 79 billion for irs enforcement, 12 billion for government electric cars, 3 billion for tree equity, 25 million for bias training and 4 billion for distance learning. democrats were also told again by the parliament in the senate, you can't stick immigration reform into any of this , because they try it again. nobody knows what speaker pelosi is going to do today. will she pull the vote? will she hold the vote and watch it maybe go down. she didn't want to share much of her strategy yesterday. >> watch what the arms of moderates if this is not going to move anywhere. >> what are you talking about? we cannot predicate our actions in the house on what could happen in the senate. i have no patience for people not voting for this. reporter: well, lawmakers might need a lot of patience today, because there is so much uncertainty, president biden right now has no public events on the schedule; however, the press secretary is hinting he could make a trip on to capitol hill to try to lean on some last minute undecided later on today. back to you. steve: peter has he been working the phones? reporter: he has been working on the phones but pretty much everything we've been hearing is he's not whipping support for these plans. he's basically just hearing people out as opposed to trying to use the weight of his office for this , which is kind of surprising, because this is a big one and it's getting closer to next year's mid-terms even though they are more than a year away than it seems to do something this big, and they have had a lot of losses lately at the border, and in afghanistan, they are looking for wins, they got this bipartisan infrastructure bill where they can count on republican support but joe biden trusted nancy pelosi and chuck schumer who said we are going to essentially we're not going to do that until we get this progressive $3.5 trillion worth of stuff through, and it seems like that strategy may have ultimately backfired because now, the people that they needed who thought they knew what to expect are not with them anymore. brian: thanks, peter. so joe manchin went on to say he doesn't see the rush. 1.2 trillion is going to be voted on today. he does not see the rush for the other bill. he said we don't have a one or two week deadline. i don't believe that because everything is covered. there's nobody going without. the child tax credit ends up at the end of the year, everything else goes to 2023 that's why i say let's do a pause. that's the same thing he's been saying for the last few weeks, let's do a pause. what's the rush? well you know what the rush is. you open on 2022 and if you lose the house steve: that's what peter was talking about. ainsley: he went on to say at some point all of us regardless of party must ask the simple question, how much is enough. we've already spent $5.4 trillion since last march. i can't support spending 3.5 trillion. he's concerned about inflation, he's concerned about the spending and the tax hike for corporations. steve: right exactly. he said there are a lot of job opens in the united states and people don't want to take them but speaking of inflation, a sign of the time, if you go to fox business.com right now, dollar tree, where a lot of you shop, is going to start selling stuff for more than $1 and why is that? it's because inflation currently in the united states is running north of 4%, and gas is very expensive and the cost of shipping stuff as well, so, ultimately when people are impacted at the grocery store as they are, at the gas station, and now dollar store, you know, on the control panel at the white house, there's got to be a red light flashing, because they have been selling stuff for a buck for decades, and now during the biden administration, it's going to be a dollar plus. ainsley: the shares jumped more than 16% on wednesday when this was announced. they are going to be selling products for $1 and $3 and $5 testing it out, right now they have 340 existing dollar tree plus stores and they are on track to have 500 of these stores by the end of the fiscal year 2021. brian: very popular. we'll see what happens, they will be voting today and keep in mind, they are planning on making joe biden look like a hero, they are setting him up to look like a guy that's going to broker a deal because they see how his numbers are tanking, and if he doesn't pass this it'll tank on the economy in the long run it'll help and the problem for joe biden is he thought he was going to take over during a crisis like the 2008 crash when the pandemic first happened. all indications are we're coming out of it so this is not fdr, he was trying to pull us out of a depression, so what is your rationale for piling on debt when we have debt that's already piled on. it makes no sense, and i believe , i'm going to believe what joe biden and krysten sinema are saying and they are just using logic. he goes i understand what being a democrat is but there's also a thing called being responsible. i hope they hold the line. steve: never let a crisis go to waste and they have been putting all of this stuff together and they said covid but here's the thing and peter made a good point. he said what's unusual is joe biden is working the phones but he's not whipping anybody. he's not saying, hey, you got to vote for this 1.2 trillion thing he's not saying you've got to vote for the 3.5 trillion because if he tells people to vote for the 1.2 trillion he will anger the progressive wing. if he says hey vote for the 3.5 trillion, he's going to blow up the moderates, and so he's in a pickle and that is why the dems are having an absolute civil war. five votes are scheduled in the senate today starting at 10: 30, let's see what happens. let's see what passes. they will vote ultimately to fund government for another couple weeks but that's it. ainsley: a lot going on in washington, a baseball game, spending bills being debated and also our top military brass is back on the hill yesterday. they were being grilled. this time by the house, so here 's a little of what you missed if you didn't see any of that yesterday but the headline basically is that general milley said we lost the war in afghanistan, the war was a strategic failure. listen to some of this. >> the war was a strategic failure. it came also at an incredible cost in the end with 11 marines, one soldier, and a navy man. these 13 gave their lives so that people they never met would have an opportunity to live in freedom and we must remember that the taliban remains a terrorist organization and they still have not broken with al qaeda. i have no illusion who we are dealing with. >> on the issue of why we didn't bring out civilians and s iv's sooner, again, the call on how to do that and when to do it is really a state department call. we provided our input and we certainly would have liked to seen it go faster or sooner, but again, they had a number of things to think through as well. brian: there are so many revelations yesterday, the question was finally asked. is it true you got a call from taliban right when they were outside kabul, because they were even surprised that everyone left their post, and the president of afghanistan left the country, and he said the ministries are being stripped. we're going to go in or do you want to go in and mckenzie said, oh, i don't really, it didn't seem like a formal offer, and we didn't have enough troops so i said you go in so you just green lighted the taliban in. the series of decisions made in the last minute, i do not think are going to survive a rigorous test and examination at any war college in the country. number two is i wouldn't say you flat out lost the war when in 2014 you pivoted focuses from the war to a defensive posture supporting the afghans. if you look at what took place you got to ask yourself, did they know what was going to fall they plan for all contingencies but this surprised them. i thought contingency operations were put in place to not be surprised? get a bigger table top. if you didn't have a table top exercise, to allow you to play this out, and i also think the one ongoing situation which i fear that people are forgetting is how many people are stuck in that country. the thing that sticks in my head is michael walter's testimony and he said i wake up to be heading videos everyday to sib 's that we didn't get out, and they're in different, the secretary of defense, and the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff, and you look at blinken last week, about getting them out. it's nobody's job, not my word, senator blumenthal said that. he said he has setup basically a clearing house to try to help these people get out, a liberal democrat from connecticut, and cannot get help from the white house. they have to be held accountable for that. ainsley: can you imagine how terrified you'd be if you lived in afghanistan right now and you were someone that helped americans and our allies be heading and amputating people 's hands, arms, limbs, noses, ears. steve: according to the generals blame the state department. i think the revelation virginia student turning heads for standing up to his own school board over the mask mandates. the passionate speech was at a meeting in loudoun county, virginia which has become widely known for its all. noah, why did you feel the need to stand up and speak out to the board? >> well, i definitely feel like it was something that there were a lot of other people doing it at that point and i felt like i asked my parents if i could do it and i didn't feel like what they were doing is right, and i don't like masks, and they don't work, so i don't know why we're doing it. ainsley: what's happening when you're wearing the mask for too long? >> well i'm definitely getting, i'm dizzy, headaches, it's not comfortable, it's very uncomfortable. dizziness, headaches almost every day at school. ainsley: and megan you're not a fan of these mask mandates. you say they're absurd. why do you feel that way? >> yeah, i do. i tried to boil it down to three major points, and really, there's a sign of submission with them, and just for us to go along with everything. it's depriving the children of oxygen and their brains to be able to develop properly and kids need to be able to feed the mouths of their teachers when speaking and to be able to hear them clearly and thirdly, i believe that we're created in the image of god and the image of god he created male and female, and our face really, we stand on that and we just don't feel that this is right to continue, our president currently has said that if you're vaccinated, one out of every 160,000 people, you'll go to the hospital. that's your chance. 1 in 160,000. we, as unvaccinated children, are not posing a risk. the teachers are all vaccinated, so they should feel protected and if people want to wear masks then please, go ahead. you're welcome to it, but we just don't feel that it's right to mandate it. ainsley: adam, i know you've spoken out in front of the school board on different issues, in the past, and terry mccullough is running for governor, a democrat there, and he said parents shouldn't have a say. listen to this. >> i'm not going to let parents come into schools and actually take their child and make their own decision. >> [applause] >> so i have a bill that i don't think parents should be telling schools what they should teach. ainsley: adam what is your reaction when you hear things like that? >> yeah, i heard that yesterday evening and then this morning again. it's really shocking, i guess, to hear someone's opinion that the parents don't have a say as far as the school and what's being taught in schools. we certainly believe that that is our right as parents to be able to have influence on the schools. they are an elected school board their salaries and the teachers are paid by our tax dollars. many of the principles of this country was built on is the fact that we are a representative government. ainsley: noah, megan, adam, thank you all so much for coming on and your dog, we [laughter] ainsley: thank you all so much, i wish you the best noah go get them, you have a bright future. >> thank you. ainsley: still ahead, the crisis at our southern border is impacting americans nationwide as illegal drugs stream into our country, fox & friends enterprise reporter lawrence jones to see just how far the join us live, hey, lawrence, coming up next. >> ♪ steve: the flow of drugs in the united states from mexico turning every state into a border state. ainsley: that includes idaho, which is located 2,000 miles away but is seeing a massive spike in fentanyl overdoses, and officials say 96% of the drugs trafficked in the region are coming from mexico. brian: fox & friends enterprise reporter lawrence jones on the road again just got back from idaho. what did you find when it comes to law enforcement officials, and you even spoke to the governor. reporter: yeah, what the law enforcement officials are saying they can't less their way out of this. it's too much drugs. steve: it's everywhere. reporter: i had the opportunity to talk to the governor, the sheriff there, that is on the front lines of this. this is what they had to say. >> we're going out into this area, and it looks nice and calm. i can guarantee you, there are cartel members in this area we're going to. this goes all the way to california. reporter: this road right here? drugs come in this way? >> absolutely. absolutely. reporter: there's been cars going back and forth, 18 wheeler s. could drugs me in these vehicles >> it could be in every one, probably in half of them. reporter: that's the gateway. >> everything bad coming across it ends up in america. >> 96% of the law enforcement agencies concur that the fentanyl and the meth that are coming into idaho are sourc ed in mexico. reporter: how bad is it? >> it's bad and it's getting worse, because it's getting to be more and more abundant and it's getting to be cheaper. >> last year, over 90,000 americans died from drug overdoses, and the two primary drugs that they overdose on are fentanyl and methamphetamine. those drugs come from one place and that's south of our border. just in the last year, we had several overdose deaths. we had homicides directly tied to a drug deal that had gone bad it was a fentanyl drug deal and it happened 1 # hundred yards from my front door, and i had had had the unfortunate task of having a conversations with family members who have lost children, who have lost fathers, who have lost mothers. the people that are manufacturing this fentanyl that are bringing this fentanyl across the border and that are selling it absolutely know that it kills people. >> over 40% of every pill is a lethal dose. >> one grain of fentanyl that would fit on the end of your pencil is enough to kill you. within the last three months, i had two officers we processed them into the jail, working on the guys wallet or his money, and bag and they open up the bag and both men went to the ground instantly, just dropped like that, because those are airborne particles. we administered narcan immediately and one had to go on an iv drip to save his life. reporter: that's the type of such coming across this border? >> absolutely, everyday. that's what our guys are dealing with out on the streets. reporter: we're in an undisclosed location right here, this is where the operations happen narcotic busts. talk about how risky it is. it's already risky being a cop, but taking on the cartel. >> these guys are high risk every minute of every day. >> the federal government always tends to get out of their lane, defending this country is the role, is the designated role by the founders of this country to defend the country and to protect the borders. >> are we losing that fight right now? >> oh, absolutely no question about it. that's why i was one of 25 governors that sent a letter to the president saying that this is crisis. we've got to address this. reporter: what did the president say? well i think the letter just went out last week, so, we're waiting for a reply. >> i met him twice, i was in the white house twice meeting with him on these issues. he brought us to the table. this administration, we have none of that. not only do we not get invited to the table, there is no table, because in their eyes, there's no problem. reporter: everything that you guys are doing currency, unfortunately, is reaction airy. >> all reaction airy. absolutely, and it's a mandate on the flowing artery. let's put a band aid, the blood is still flowing. >> the drug problem is not something that we can arrest our way out of. we have to deal with the supply side, and that is doing something about our borders. reporter: are we losing the war right now? joe biden wasn't elected because he's joe biden. he was elected as a vessel, he's there, because he became sort of an instrument for the far left and now dominates the democratic party to pursue their agenda and that's what they are doing. these guys are acting like they have a 60-70 vote majority in the senate and 60 vote majority in the house and they were elected with some sort of mandate to remake america into a socialist almost marxist type economy and so that's the pushback you're seeing from people that go back home in november and get re-elected and they know they can't run on this ainsley: pan panama's foreign minister very frustrated on what's happening down on the border because she says biden is acting like they are caught off guard, but they warned them a long time ago, she says, that this was going to happen and to be prepared. i know the state of florida is suing the biden administration. how is this affecting you all? tell us what's the status of that lawsuit and what your concerns are for florida? >> well look a lot of the migrants are winding up in florida and my heartbreaks for these people, for example, the haitian community in south florida is an incredible community, and i feel terrible about what what's happening in haiti, but no country can take in 50,000 people at a time like that indiana an unrestricted manner so what's happening is there are between 90,000 and 120,000 migrants from haiti alone in different countries and latin america all desiring to enter the united states and this began back in 2010 when a lot of the countries got rid of visa requirements because they had a bunch of construction jobs so they have been living there this whole time. if you notice a lot of the haitian migrants at the border also spoke spanish because they have been living in chile and places like that but what happens? the jobs dry up and now they say fine we'll go to america, and that's what's happening and so eventually it bottlenecks in panama which is the first country that interacts with them , does testing, biometrics, tests for covid things of this nature and they are telling us, anywhere between 90 and 100,000 immigration migrants just from haiti a alone are headed towards the united states at different stages of migration and the biden administration isn't doing anything about it. brian: and panama an allie, they aren't even talking to their allies trying to help us out and they don't want people migrating through their country en route to ours. meanwhile, look at these ratings for president biden, when it comes to border. he's got 33% approval. so let me ask you, senator. i don't get it. people say, you know, it's dropping precipitously as you see on your screen. people say well they don't care. watt do you mean you don't care? he's lost 20 points in texas. he's lost 20 points when it comes to the border. how does that work to your advantage? >> it doesn't, but you have to understand that and i think sometimes we forget. there is a hard core base in the democratic party which happens to be the people in many cases who knock-on doors, that send them these dollar donations that $50 donations in the mail and by internet that they get to the millions of dollars, these radical activists who don't believe there should be a border they honestly don't. they believe in the free flow of people across borders and that honestly, they say they are formation laws but the truth be told is anyone who wants to come to america should be able to come to america and here is the irony in all this. if you're not vaccinated and you're an american you can get fired and denied access to a restaurant but if you're not vaccinated and you arrive here illegally you get to enter the country and stay. how absurd that is. brian: it's nuts. ainsley: even the border agents we were told yesterday that border agents will be fired if they don't get the vaccination by a certain date. they are down there protecting us. >> again, if i had told anybody 10 years ago these things be happening you'd say that's not true, that's some sort of movie on netflix, but it is. it's happening, ridiculousness after ridiculousness, it's nutty time. that's what's happened here. steve: well it gives us plenty to talk about senator thank you very much for joining us today. >> thank you. ainsley: let's check in with our senior meteorologist janice dean for our fox weather forecast out with friends. >> good morning, it's beautiful day here in new york city, and my friend, what's your name?
