Unfortunately i just feel that for californians, we werent feeling like we had a viable alternative to Governor Newsom And i believe thats why the recall failed. Shannon those are saying that the messaging quit being about governor Governor Newsom And it turned into a matchup between Larry Elder And Gavin Newsom And more of a traditional looking election. There will be many critiques as we look back at this Recall Election. The focus got lost on what Gavin Newsom has done wrong versus looking like something that looked like a traditional matter. I couldnt agree more And i think we have forgotten about the hypocrisy or excepted here in california which is disappointing for me especially when the backdrop of the hypocrisy that we saw many times over And over And over again where Ands'>Hundreds Of ThousAnds of employees left out to dry. With no One Employment benefits because newsom misappropriated 30 Billion to 40 Billion with of funds. One thing not being mentioned, i think a lot of democrats are licking their lips thinking 2022 insane now we use this to see newsoms weak spots. People are successful again. We got 2400, a Stimulus Check in the mail. I think all of these things have gone a long way to healing wounds And people have a short memory when they are doing well. Shannon Andrew, dino talks about things being open again. Do you think that was in part, the governor was a little more hAndsoff leading into the recall hoping to avoid that criticism. You thinks policies may change now that he has the confidence of the majority of California Voters . Things have remained open And there has been a lot more freedom for businesses are limping out of the grip of the recall potential. I think newsom was very confident all along he was going to survive the recall. He has scaled back a little bit. Staying away from the past, moving forward, if they are going to be measures that really put Small Businesses in a noose, when newsom really needs to consider the fact that its a equality for everybody pretty Cant Pick winners And losers. I think what he did is turn this into a republicAndemocrat battle And really focused on Larry Elder, but i think the reasons why california demAnded a Recount Water left unaddressed, rising crime, homelessness problems, holding town of schools, high gasoline prices. Because of the partisan nature of the election, we did not get much addressing these problems plaguing the state. Shannon harry coming out of the heat is off with this recall, do you think the governor will have less motivation or more to get down to brass tacks on some of those very real, Concrete Problems . Well, it is true that homelessness And crime were what initiated it, but you know, the big news here, shannon, it is so easy to have a recall in california. Its the 55th Time it has happened. Of the 27 times there have actually been battles, And it of something like 5 of the population. That is what they were worried about. But i think it is an affirmation of his covid policies which matter the most. Will he now also try to think about the things that animated his enemies here . Maybe, but he can now sort of go forward with a real it is almost like in englAnd, where there is a new vote of confidence, And he did run i agree with john against elder that way, but elder lead with his chin And was sort of trumpist about it, that may have been in california for a pretty easy strategy for Governor Newsom. Shannon we watched to see with the governor does moving forward in policies And all of those different issues that voters care about. Their ongoing legal battles there, as there are in states across the country, with regard to Andate'>Vaccine MAndates. The l. A. Times is talking about some l. A. P. D. Employees suing over the Andate'>Vaccine MAndates. P says the mAndate ignores the natural protections provided by such antibodies And claims they can do their jobs protecting themselves, fellow daily health screenings, wearing masks, And quarantine. John, we have seen some success on this front, they have had covid, natural immunity, reports it is superior to vaccines in a number of studies. Is it going to be a legal argument . What the fact that you mentioned it is important because i think what will happen is the legal system will have to reconsider these very old cases, from 1905, which is still the last time the Supreme Court allowed the states to mAndatory mAndatorily vaccine everybody, not just employees, but everyone in a state. That was for smallpox, which was much more avirulent, watch more communicable than covid19. You didnt have this kind of scientific evidence youre talking about now. L. A. Police officers, nurses, refusing to get vaccinated And there are a lot of them they have a tough hill to climb because of early cases from the 20th century, but it was before we have this revolution in constitutional rights, before science gave us a lot more knowledge. I gave the Poll Worker And-last-name'>My First And Last Name, they were not able to find my registration at all, so they asked me to scan my Drivers License, And when they scanned my Drivers License, my name came up as benjamin. So they had me fill out a provisional ballot, And it just didnt sit right with me for the rest of the day, so later in the afternoon, i looked up my voter registration, And pulled up, you know, i had used And-last-name'>My First And Last Name, my birthdate, my social security number, my Drivers License, And it pulled up what you are seeing on the screen here, which is And-last-name'>My First And Last Name are correct, my email is correct, but they have me registered in a county i have never lived in. I registered as a democrat, which i am not, And they also have me receiving permanent Mailin Voting, which i also did not select. Shannon so, what did the Poll Worker say to you about this . Have there been other instances of this . Because those are several things that are significant that are off on your registration. Yeah, for sure. She did say that this was not the first time she had seen it happen. She obviously thought it was very odd, but not the first time she saw it happen. Shannon you mentioned you had just flown the day or two before this And your Drivers License obviously passed through tsa so it is linked to your properly. This could be a series of clerical errors. Are you worried other California Voters may not know some of their information may not be correct, if you get a provisional ballot, it still has to go through a process to make sure your Vote Counts. Well, i mean, we have to be able to feel secure And that our vote is being counted, And i dont feel secure that its being counted. I mean, i just submitted my provisional Ballot Today but there is no way of knowing if the other registration also submitted a Mailin Ballot And if theres will be thrown out or mine will be thrown out, there is no way of knowing that.
