We expected more from you, but by the same token we have withdrawn all of the Air Support which was really the only advantage that the afghan military ever had over the taliban. We withdrew the Air Support and to the contractors and we knew that pakistan was continuing and emboldening its support of the taliban which would make it pretty much impossible for the Afghan Army to stand on their own. So to pretend like they were surprised is really disingenuous. Emily lara, are our allied relationships permanently damage . Lara yes, for the moment. If The American people allow the biden administration to represent them in this way, than they are permanently damaged. Because already coming in oh, when youre talking about a Neighboring Country and people are going to them for assistance for refugees, they are saying we dont trust you. Youre going to afghans who are fighting right now and they are saying, we dont trust you. And i want to address something that martha touched on and she is absolutely right, it is really, really important for all of our conscious, for the moral conscious of america. It is very important to correct the record here. The afghan forces did not just collapse. As martha said, they were always dependent on u. S. Air support. But i will say, the afghan Air Force was actually doing a phenomenal job. The problem is the way that it was set up with the u. S. It had american contractors and when they pulled The American Air Support, they did not just take that. They took the contractors that kept the afghan Air Force in the sky. They took those Supply Lines and logistics lines, they knew that they werent attic adequate in place, and they took everything at the same time. So what you had was a catastrophic collapse of really the backbone of the afghan military, and then he forgot the morality, right . The morale of the forces when you have been fighting and losing dozens, sometimes hundreds of soldiers in a day for 20 years straight, for the secretary of defense of the united states to say, you can to buy willpower, what army in history has ever gone out to day after day after day for 20 years and taken that Casualty Rate . None. I can tell you, speaking to military experts, they will tell you none. And what people dont understand what the president and the White House is doing is that this is a Band Of Brothers for many american soldiers especially in the Special Operation Forces and you just took that Band Of Brothers and you ripped it apart and you said, dont help them, leave them to die. And it just goes to the fact that this whole operation got so rushed at The End, because we had left the afghan national army without the support they needed to hold their ground and then it quickly all fell into the arms of the taliban and they were telling us what we could and could not do. And they told mohammed that he could not leave kabul. So now its time for us to get them out and another side of The Story, looks like the State Department is going to basically bribe the taliban to let us take people out. And some people would call that a hostage situation. Thats exactly right. Pete, there are many men and women like mohammed that stood shoulder to shoulder and they too are Left Behind. Pete and their events right now running Rat Lines to get money. And fulfilling the promise that the government would not fulfill, the scrambled nature of this retreat is evident and evidence of how poorly executed it was. Radio silence. In stark contrast to this administration that comes out every day and says that they have been in communication with the stranded americans 19 times and their representatives. No, these people are hearing nothing. And they are children. You know who does who called the families every day . The School District. No one else. Emily we know that the administration is seeing not people, but percentages, because he saying we have 90 of americans out as if it is good that 10 percent were Left Behind.
