I have the president of the United States standing up there standing saying Evacuations Couldnt have been done in a more orderly manner. How could he even say that to these families and to the people stranded there . I just cant imagine, ainsley how he could assert that this was done in an orderly and secure fashion. 13 brave american troops are now dead because of the chaos at the airport last week, those families are never going to have their sons or daughters or husbands or wives back. Obviously with better planning. If he had given the military the resources it need to keep Bagram Air base open, if he hadnt withdrawn so quickly over the last couple months and kept the troops on the ground necessary to affect an orderly evacuation, we might not have had those americans killed. This didnt just happen on Joe Bidens watch. It happened as a direct result of Joe Bidens decisions. Steve surely. Only thing i want is to see my mom, my dad, my sister and my grandma Safe And Sound back in the country that they have been living in for most of their lives. And its like they are hardworking u. S. Citizens. They have valid documents. They are u. S. Passport holders. So we were just confused on that. My sister being young and my mother being there. And my grandmother being very old. Its like its very hard for my dad to also bring them along to the airport with him. Wait in that line. Wait in those crazy, those huge crowds and everything. The firing that was going on in the air. The smoke bombs. Everything, like being pushed around. It was crazy. Its honestly a situation that probably should have been handled better. And at that point could have been handled better with the proper communication. Steve right. The communication they followed every instruction from the State Department and they never Got Out. So, senator, for the americans stuck there and his family, everybody holds a u. S. Passport for his family and others, now that the military evacuations have ended, whats Plan B . Im a 22yearold man if i want to go on the town to grab a bite to eat i dont see what the issue is. I had more free come living with my parents in Middle School than now. In total able to Restore Power for 58,000 People For Louisiana and mississippi. But as you had mentioned, still just under A Million people are without power currently as they wake up this morning and really those harder hit areas, those rural communities could see power be without power for weeks now. This is what Governor John Bel Edwards had to say about that. Every area is not going to come back at the same time. We do ask people to be patient. Thats one of the reasons we need people to stay out quite frankly its going to be a while before you have all of the conveniences. And the major concern moving forward is things start to heat up. He clearly didnt spend enough time talking to Intel Analyst and military officers. Not generals. Not generals, people on the ground. Folks like myself who worked with the Afghan Army directly at lower levels. Who understood that if demoralized, if not supported, if the taliban would seem to have the momentum, it was a House Of Cards prepared to collapse. I dont care how much equipment you had given them. How much rifles you give them. If we dont back them up and provide Air Support and intel, if we dont create, to his point, the per sense of support, then its going to crumble. And it did. So he should have known better but he was not engaged. Brian general milley said the same thing. He was concerned about the perception in the same transcript. Thousands more were afghan allies effectively condemned to death under the taliban is not a success. This is a fiasco, and a humiliating failure. Reporter thats the way President Biden sees things though, he does not think the way things went, setting a deadline, pulling troops, sending troops back in and then pulling them one last time could have gone any better. This decision about afghanistan is not just about afghanistan. Its about ending an era of major military operations to re make other countries. I take responsibility for the decision. A couple hours after the president speak, anytime he speak even if its really quick they will email us out official transcripts and it lists the president as saying 90 of everybody out, but they have drawn a line through the 90 striking it and in parenthesis, it says 98 so the president meant to say 98 , or that number has just changed since he spoke. Theyre trying to convince us that we can be protected from another 9 11 by using drones in afghanistan. Well let me just remind you about iraq and syria. Joe biden pushed really hard to removal of our troops from iraq. He was told if you do that, isis could surge. Well what happened . When we left our troops, guys, we started using drones that did not stop the caliphate from forming. The drone program will not stop isis from growing in afghanistan it did not work in iraq and syria. Its the same guy that said all of our allies are cheering us on , hes the same guy that said the taliban are waving americans through. Prince when he said that the military wanted to stick with the deadline of august 31, the only reason that is is because biden put them in such an awful position that it was becoming a problem for the protection of the force, and also, biden didnt even give the military a mission of getting everybody out. Its also worth noting yeah, you could have started mass evacuations earlier and the biden administration will say well people didnt want to leave. Well thats because you told them the taliban would never take over.
