So what were you able to do that theyre not able to do . We did very well as you know with the hispanic and African American vote. Records, we did records with these votes. Yeah, you know, definitely my first job was at mcdonalds to help support my family because financially, we werent able to do a lot of things and im the first person in my family to go to college so i started working at mcdonalds and honestly to help my entire family and then i started getting recruited and instead of inhome visits with college coaches i would have visits in the lobby of mcdonalds and i love college coaches wanted me, and they were trying to offer me a full scholarship but my focus is i have to make this 100 every two weeks check, so its just amazing to see where i started at but working at mcdonalds really developed the skills i have now to be where i am now. You woke up at 4 30 every morning to take your grandmother to the Nursing Home where she worked and then come back home and get your siblings ready and then go to school and then practice then youd work until 10 00 at night. Its really the american dream. How did it feel when finally find out you were going to the olympics . Honestly it just felt like a relief because ive been working so long for this moment and its always been a dream but honestly with a lot of hard Work And Dedication i knew it could happen, so once i was on that podium, and they gave me my flag and my flowers, i honestly just felt like a relief, like i final ly made it. Like this is what ive been working hard for , all of the hard work finally paid off and now i get to call myself an olympian for the rest of my life. Ainsley i know the mcdonalds where you worked and i bet all of the employees have are so proud of you. Is mcdonalds doing anything to help you . Actually they sent me a little gift and wrote me like a very nice card and i heard from my manager, i havent talked to her in years and she sent me a picture that we took a long time ago of me in front of the olympics and im standing there like posing when i was in high school and like one day youre going to be in the olympics and now to see that dream come to real life is just amazing. Ainsley are you nervous about the trials . The olympics im not nervous about, but the trials, definitely was nervous about, because usa is the hardest team to make but once you make the team, lets go have some fun and get on that podium, like usa is the hardest team to make so thats the biggest hurdle.
