Police officers have been demonized. Here in new York City, they have taken away the defense of qualified immunity. So the police are holding back. Theres no question about it. I suspect theres a guy that might not count what were seeing going on in San Francisco with the broad Daylight Lootings and the rest. How do you see that all going . Well, for his 20year career, almost all of it, Eric Adams has bashed the new York City Police Department. Accused them of all sorts of things. Now hes talking a different talk. Well see. Hes up against a formidable poe opponent. And were going to see if in fact he does win if he will live up to some of his talk. Its contrary to so much of what he said for his whole career. But you have to see. New york needs a change. You know, neil, that were in bad shape here. We need among other things a tough mayor to help turn it around. Neil theres been a lot of examination of his record there criticizing police practices and unfair to minority. He has to balance that with those that want to see a better police presence. But a more behaved police. That is a tough needle to thread. What do you think of that . So many signals have been given to the police to not take action. ThAt The transactional cost for making an arrest is too high. Their well being of their families and themselves are at risk. So something has to change as far as giving the Police Confidence thAt They will be supported in some way, Shape Or Form in their own Police Department and also by political leaders.
