These are critical things we can do to be able to stop the next pandemic before it starts, which is why we need to understand the origin. Jon thats supposedly the thinking behind this gain of Function Research that so many people have been so critical of. They, you know, developed some of these viruses, trying to supercharge them so that supposedly, we can learn how to prevent the next one. Is that wise in your view . Gain of Function Research . Listen, the kind of research thats being done globally is to really understand these viruses, to prevent the next pandemic before it starts, and thats very important. Its also important to have really good Lab Processes and protocols in place and regulations in place, and good monitors in place to make sure thAt The labs that are doing this kind of research have the right Precautions Setup so that we dont have Lab Accidents again, we dont know if this was a Lab Accident or if it was from a transmission from an animal to a human. Both are very valid. We need to be working to be able to sort it out, so we can prevent future pandemics so we have information, its like any other investigation of a situation so that we can do better in the future. This is always the right path to use science to be able to understand what happened and whAt To do better in the future. Jon as you well know, there are an awful lot of people who do not want to get the vaccines against coronavirus. They think thAt There are problems with them and now, the centers for Disease Control says it is investigating 800 known cases of heart inflammation, even in some very young recipients of the vaccine. Listen to the former Fda Commissioner dr. Scot gotleib. I think its something thAt The cdc and the fda should be looking carefully at. I dont think people should be nervous and i dont think it changes the Risk Benefit Balance for this vaccine. We found 275 cases. Its not clear thAt Theres a causal relationship between the vaccine and these cases, if there is its probably an inflammatory response from the vaccine. Jon out of the millions of doses, he says 275 cases, but my research says there are about 800 of this inflammation of either the Heart Muscle or the heart lining. What do you say to people out there regarding the vaccine and its safety . These vaccines are very safe , and they are very effective and thats why were seeing cases of covid come down dramatically wherever we have high rates of vaccination but the virus is still spreading among people who are not vaccinated and were still see ing a lot of hospitalizations and deaths so we all need to do our part. The issue of this particular situation of potential Myocarditis Or Peri carditis in younger adults is something thats going to be investigated and theres a very low number of cases and what needs to happen is we need to understand, is this number of cases greater than what we see in the general population and if it is, who are the people that are experiencing this side effect, and is there a potential risk profile, so that we can make specific recommendations for certain people who may or may not wish to get this vaccine or get the Johnson Johnson Vaccine as opposed to an mrna vaccine, but the risk of severe disease, the risk of hospitalization, the risk of falling into an Icu Or Dying is still great for people who are unvaccinated so At This point, i think i agree wholeheartedly with dr. Scot Got Leib thAt The vaccines are great and the cdc is going to review the data and this happens regularly and if we see a problem thAt There will be a communication about who should be avoiding the vaccine and who should get it.
