So what he is doing is makes all kinds of political accepts for him and should make political sense for the democrats because if they everywhere to lose that seat, they would lose the majority. And there is one way they could lose that seat if they keep after him. He could switch party to republican. That wouldnt get him in any trouble at home i wouldnt think. He would then be in the majority and the republicans would control the senate. He would lose nothing it seems to me except it would probably get the democrats off his back. But, overall, this is a pretty reasonable bill trying to balance access to the ballot with ballot security. Now thats what it is really all about. I dont think this is at all an unreasonable bill and compares quite favorably to the access to the ballot you find in places like Joe Bidens delaware. But they have they have done a good label on it for their purposes and the media, of course, as usual, most of the media are playing along. Nonetheless though, i think politics of this is such that the public would much prefer to see a compromise on this measure, a much somewhat less stringent bill, somewhat less strong medicine. I think the democrats could probably get that. And march would be get credit for having brokered the deal. Bret there is question about the constitution. And the other stat is this uppoll and that says that 71 of democrats say that people even if theyre healthy should stay home as much aS Possible. I want to digest those two things for us as far as stats coming out . Juan well, this is really interesting. Lets go first with the racial stuff. I mean, clearly, what you have is a lower rate of vaccinations among blacks in specific but people of color in general. Than white. But i think that there was a better correlation in terms of people of lower level of education, lower income. I think that if you looked at that it wouldnt matter what race you were looking at you would see lower rates of vaccination and also i think now there are questions about whether the country will meet President Bidens goal of 70 vaccinated by July 4th. So some people are saying well it could be the minorities but its also the case that if you looked at states like oklahoma, utah, huge white populations. Very low vaccination rates. And thats really whats driving the failure to meet the July 4th deadline. And in part now, i think you are starting to see that become politicized with people saying these are states that did not vote for Joe Biden but voted for Donald Trump and are clearly not open to getting the vaccination at the level the rest of the country.
