Jerrold nadler has insisted that he needs to unpack the court that was packed by President Trump and mitch mcconnell. These unanimous decisions and this One Today thats what the conservative justices would seem to indicate more of a consensus of the highest court of the land then democrats would like to admit. It must be incredibly frustrating to have consensus opinions bursting out every day. This is the same court that people like Nadler And Senator blumenthal, called it out of whack because of the conservative majority. Whats interesting about the case you referenced, you only have three conservatives and three liberals, and he had to have given the opinion to Justice Barrett to write. So it was the ultimate pretour of critics saying this was hopelessly and irretrievably divided. Deep in mind, breyer is the figure who just recently rejected statements of the conservative court and was attacked by many on the left and was a campaign putting billboards to try to get him to retire. Billboards going around washington saying retire or risk your legacy. Its a very interesting dynamic to have this case come out. John i was going to bring this up to you. So the court could be saying, most of our cases are consensus cases. In some of the big figured cases we do file over this ideological line that does deal with deep philosophical jurisprudential services but this is their way that they are rigidly ideological and cannot reach compromise.
