Lets talk about how you got to 20,000. From what i understand, it was a dollar an inch. The afro was getting to, what, 20 inches tall . Yeah. Well, originally i only had a 19inch curl, and i was trying to get 1,000 inches per curl. So the original goal was 19,000, but with extra donations, we got over 20,000. Will when it originally started, you were just growing your hair out, im sure. When did you start growing your hair . I just didnt cut it after starting in middle school, and the past two years when i knew i was going to the Air Force academy, i went to this event where people were shaving off their heads, and i knew i wanted to do something like that. Will tell me more about that. What made you decide to of course you were going to cut it for the Air Force academy. What made you decide to do this to raise money for cancer research, st. Judes . I had a friend that passed away in eighth grade, josh, and i knew st. Judes helped his family, and that, you know, i thought it was a good charity to support, so i wanted to give back to the community before i left. So i had to come up with something on my own. Will how different do you feel today than you have for the past six years . I know todays not the first day you cut it off, but as you reach up there and touch your head, its got to be a bit of a novel feeling. My head feels cold now. [laughter] will you know what i suspect . I suspect the Air Force academys going to help you out with that. I bet therell be some burpees and pushups to keep you warm. What made you decide To Go to the Air Force academy in. A good engineering school, and the service. I really want to be there for the guys on the ground, i want to be their guardian angel.
